Great little place to spend a couple hours

Accessible along a lane which forks off from the road. Parking available. Not open when we visited but can still walk outside the windmill and there is a woodland walk here too.

A lovely piece of local heritage maintained by friendly and knowledgeable staff and volunteers. Good value with a programme of activities for the children that are simple but effective. A great atmosphere. We'll be returning.

I visited with my little girl for the spooky Mill evening. We both had a really great time exploring by torchlight. They had lots of activities for the kids and it was great value for money. I found the event on Facebook so follow the windmill on there for up to date activities. There is something really magical about windmills and we will be going back to see it in motion.

Done craft morning with the children they loved it. The volunteers are lovely too, made to feel welcome the pack each child got was great too. Just a shsme they are trying to get money to repair sails of the windmill.

The independent and quiet environment makes you feel like you are transported back to the 18th century in an instant. Looking at the ancient tools and guided tours, you review the lives of the ancients, increase your knowledge, and let modern people know how smart the ancients were...

Great place for family trips

Easy to get to. Just off at junction 8. Good price and the ticket lasts you throughout the whole year of the date you purchase it. Plenty to do for the kids as we went when it was a "pirate day". Beautiful garden with woodland to walk in at the back and a tour and history of the still working windmill. Fruendkt service.

Great place to see a piece of living history. Would recommend it to anyone. Tours were very informative and staff were helpful. Great little souvenir shop and a small woodland walk for the kids. Pizza ovens should be running in summer with planned events. Check the website for us to date details.
