Reviews of Longton Cemetery
D. H.
It is a very peaceful and tranquil place to visit your departed loved ones.
J. S.
Beautiful victorian cemetery with a disused mock tudor chapel at it's centre. The Chapel has a central lichgate arch with a steeple above it. These separate the two sides of the chapel one end for conformists the other side is for nonconformists. There is a monument to 64 men who lost their lives in the Mossfield Collery explosion 1889. Many graves of fallen soldiers. Beautiful large angels on plinths are dotted around the cemetery.
Has a path/road leading from the main gates on Spring Garden Road down to Cemetery Avenue and Spratslade Drive.
There's a florist at the opposite end of Spratslade Drive for anyone wanting flowers.

It's a cemetary nothing really special

Looking very run down and the building on site is locked up and falling apart, surely this could be turned into something useful.
R. S.
It's ok but council cut the grass and left a right mess. Should have left it tidy afterwards.
J. S.
I went to the cemetery today and it was disgusting wot a mess grass not cut old grave stones fallen I was mortified someone must be paid to look after this or they just don't care
C. H.
I have several relations in this cemetery, on the limited occasions the grass has been cut the mess is dreadful, all the cuttings spread over the graves.
J. S.
Beautiful Victorian cemetery with mature trees, two mock Tudor buildings, war graves & a monument to miners.
