Lovely couple of hours put. Kids did air drying clay and we got done cheap books too. Staff were lovely. The restaurant was lush

Small but very interesting museum. We visited to see the COVID Quilt embroidery exhibition, which was wonderful. The museum runs activities and workshops. There is an amazing shop, where beautiful pottery to suit all tastes can be bought at a very good price. There are also cards and gifts on sale. The cafe/ restaurant on site is extremely good, with a large menu including vegan options. However, it's very popular so booking is advisable if you're on a schedule.

Lovely little afternoon out. A very small place but did feel very at ease there. The staff were really lovely and they offered free tea and coffee and sold very very cheap books. We had a little go at air drying clay and colouring too

A superb example of a small but perfectly presented single interest museum The exhibition of blue wares is an eye opener Dont miss it

The shop selling valued stuff with amazingly reasonable prices. Exceptionally selected potteries displayed in the museum corner. Volunteering staff are knowledgeable and supportive to all visitors.

Free to visit, small exhibition about the history of Spode china on site of old Spode factory. There is an excellent shop with variety of great value Spode items and also other china. Café, toilets and restaurant share same site.

Well worth a visit, learned a lot about local pottery history, nice coffee shop adjacent

Charity run museum on the original Spodeworks site. A little small and clearly run to a tight budget but the charity volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable. The highlight is some of the 200 year old Spode bone china collection. Featuring the iconic blue and white wear. The charity is currently seeking to purchase more of the site to haverenough display space for the full collection. Many exhibits are displayed without glass allowing good photographic opportunities. Hopefully with enough time and funding this will grow into an important museum.

Went to see the album covers exhibition, but it is an excellent museum of Spode history and the works that were created there, well worth a visit.

Went for the inaugural firing of the pizza oven, next to the Works Canteen. Nice pizza, shame it won't be running everyday. Nice little look around the Spode museum and an arts show they had on as well.

Superb display of ceramics from the Spode vault.
Good detailed walks about how it all works.
Amazing shop too!
I will be back with more time in my hands and will go deeply into Spode.
Would also love to visit the « blue room » room.
This little museum is original, small but all the volunteers are here to help you and guide you around; and they have a good knowledge about Spode.
Will be back soon, with more time in my hands and definitely have a deep learn session.

Informative staff and volunteers. Interesting displays, video and information, with some activities for children. The shop sells a huge range of the different Spode china designs.

Took my mother to Spode Works Visitor Centre as she is interested in art of all kinds. We all really enjoyed the couple of hours we spent looking at the informative displays and chatting with the very knowledgeable and friendly staff. There was a lady painting who had worked in the factory in her youth, she had some fantastic stories about her time there. It was so interesting to hear it all first hand.
At the moment the centre is only quite small but is rapidly expanding and soon there will be a lot more to see. There are also plans to open a cafe on site.
The future looks great for the visitors centre, a large investment means they are expanding in the very near future. I will definitely be returning to see how they are getting on.

Loved this place, we were greeted at the front door and guided around by a lovely hostess, saw a demonstration of gilding technique from a retired gilder who talked to us for a while about the different pieces and history.
The spode shop is excellent and has many pieces at very reasonable prices.
When we visited spode we only actually went for a coffee and accidentally wandered into the museum and shop and couldn't have been happier! Would highly recommend visiting, it won't take you long to wander around and the shop is definitely worth it.

What a strange venue. Attended performance of Oliver last night by a local company. Brilliant, such a wealth of young talent. Acoustics very strange but it is a big concrete room not the Albert Hall and it did not detract from the evening. A bit reminiscent of concerts at the old Bingley Hall at Stafford. Will be interested to see how it develops

Visited here a few times. Will be going again soon. The staff are so helpful and the food is very nice. The museum was open and free to enter but didn't have much time to have s good look around.

It's great to find a place where the staff genuinely love the history and look proud to work there. Some great unique pieces of art and ceramics available to buy from local artists as well.

Nice that an old pottery factory has been put to good uses including a bar, restaurant and aparthotel space for conferences and for theatre and productions. Staff are friendly and helpful.
