Always a pleasure! Their games are so well done and the hosts are very welcoming. They have games of different sizes so there is something for everyone. We did Rags To Riches this time round and it was such a fun one! Really needed to use our brains with some puzzles, but that gives extra satisfaction when you make it out in time 😌

We've done all of their rooms now and all were great. All unique with great puzzles. Prompts when needed/asked for. A wonderful idea for parties or just a fun weekend activity. One minor complaint, they just need some new rooms for us to come back again! Highly recommended.

We went as a group of 4 and played the old lady’s escape room and loved it so much that we booked the theatre one the next day. Both games have very different puzzles with some being harder than others but not impossible to solve. The staff are amazing and always at hand to help you when you’re stuck (not that we were, ask Ab 😂). Would definitely recommend this place if you’re in York. Can’t wait to come back and play the graveyard game.

I must admit when I first walked into the room it looked old, grubby and dated and not what I expected. But given the storyline, the decor and atmosphere is totally immersive. This is one of the best escape rooms I’ve played. It’s not all padlocks which makes it even more fun (don’t want to ruin the surprises). We went as a group of 5 with 1 of us not having played before. The game has a good mix of puzzles, easy and difficult, which meant we could all participate. We escaped with just over 10 minutes to spare and have already booked the game in the dark. Loved it.

We booked two games for a hen party and had so much fun. Kaali and the team were so helpful, giving us little prompts when we needed them but without overdoing it so we could figure most clues out for ourselves. It was the perfect ice-breaker for a hen when getting to know new people. We were a party of 12 and every single person said they'd love to come back and play again. Thanks so much!

Great Escape Room. Really well put together and friendly owner. Clues were the right level and the game itself was very well themed and the right level of difficulty. Have been to the one in Leeds too and both well worth a visit.

My son and I did one of the escape rooms. What great fun. It was difficult enough to challenge us, but easy enough to work out (with a few hints). This is a great multigenerational game or brilliant for team building. Will be back soon to try another one.

Loved that the games were non-linear as it meant that we could all get on with different things without having to wait for each other. Loved this. The guy was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely do one again. We did this for my hen party. Well worth the money and experience. We escaped and it was full of fun, anxiety and nerves. For our first time ever doing it would fully recommend👍🏻

Had an amazing experience with friends, it was a challenging and stimulating game with innovative hidden clues! Fantastic fun for friends and would be great for family and couples too. The host gave a lovely welcoming and helped us out with little clues when we got a little stuck. Managed to escape in 56 mins and can’t wait to try the other rooms they’re developing. Would recommend to anyone in York to visit as its a great activity.

This was an amazing experience. First time we,ve done an escape room and it was brilliant. We had some help from Amy the host who was so nice and pleasant. We completed the cemetery with just a minute or so to go, to find out for our first ever room we,d choose the hardest. The room was set out brilliantly. We had a great time and shall definitely do another one soon.

Our first time doing an escape room and we had the best experience. The host was great, the puzzles were so fun and a few surprises to keep us guessing. We completed rags to riches and will definately be trying the other rooms on our next visit to York. If you are looking for a great couple of hours out of the rain book here, you will not be disappointed!!!!

OH MY GOD!!!!! This was our first time in an 'escape room' ! The whole experience was awesome, anxiety vs excitement! Our host Chester explained the whole process and made us feel 100% at ease. Highly recommended. Will definitely be coming back! Such fun!

This escape room was amazing! They did such a good job making us feel safe by wearing masks, sanitising and making sure they were socially distanced from us. We did the Caught In The Act room and managed to escape. Such a great experience and would 100% recommend. Thank you!

It was my first ever escape room so was very nervous and not too sure what to expect. We had a lovely advisor who was there to settle our nerves and give us hints and clues if they were needed. Eventually we escaped with 7 seconds to go and was so pleased!! It was one of the best experiences and highly recommend to anyone! With covid-19 the room also felt so safe - we were told the rooms were cleaned etc before we were allowed to enter. Perfect for couples or families!!

Fantastic first experience of an Escape Room! Our family decided to try an Escape Room during our recent holiday in York and so glad we chose Locked In Games! On arriving we got a warm welcome in a really nice setting. Our lovely Gamesmaster took us through the game format in the cool waiting area and the excitement started to build! We did the Caught in the Act game and were led into the spacious game room. A monitor gives you the timer countdown and also clues when you need them! The variety of puzzles were really good, something for all the different brains in a family! Price for the game was very good for the experience and amount of entertainment we had. The setup and facilities (toilets etc) are ideal. We had the best first experience of an Escape Room and are now looking to return to try another game before our holiday is over!

Can't recommend Locked In Games enough! Our visit wasn't your usual one either... Salma and Chester were absolutely brilliant. From booking us in at short notice to helping me facilitate a surprise proposal to my now fiancée(!!!), nothing was too much and they really went out of their way to make it memorable. They even sent the footage of the big moment to us afterwards so we've been able to share it with our family and can keep it for the years to come. Oh, and we even managed to escape the room!! Thank you for everything - I'm sure we'll be back again to try another room, maybe next time as Mr and Mrs Winn!!

We had a fabulous experience when we visited last week as part of my brothers 60th birthday weekend. Our host Chester was very friendly and helpful throughout the day. This was my first experience of an escape room something I normally wouldn't consider. But all six of us really enjoyed the challenges and solving the puzzles with help from Chester when needed. We escaped with 22seconds to spare, which added to the suspense. We would all recommend the escape room. Give it a try its different way of having fun.

We visited last weekend with our 2 children aged 12 & 8 and Chester was brilliant with them. He welcomed us at the door was very polite and friendly. Explained the games and the rules and then locked us in. We had a blast the kids loved it (aswell as us adults) Would highly recommend this attraction, great fun for all ages and reasonably priced. Big thank you to Chester I was very impressed with his customer service skills. We will try the other rooms when we return 👍

Boneyard cemetery was a blast, as a four we just got out with 12 seconds to spare and the rush and excitement was hilarious as we all clambered to the exit. Would definitely love to do this again when I forget all the answers. Going to try the other rooms they have some time.

What a fantastic time we had today experiencing the Caught in the act room. Salma was the perfect host explaining everything to us in such a lovely, friendly and fun manner. We didn't want to do anything too scary as we had our 9 year old daughter with us so this room was absolutely perfect. The clues and props are brilliant and challenged all of us every step of the way. This was such a fun family experience enabling us all to work together as a team. BEST ESCAPE ROOM I'VE DONE IN YORK!! Have done both escape rooms now at Locked In Games and they were brilliant. Great puzzles, great rooms...you really kept the brain ticking! Can't wait to come do your third room! The hosts are also genuinely lovely! Really fun ladies who treat you like friends whilst you are visiting!

We played Boneyard Cemetery a few weeks ago (end October). There were 2 of us and we have played several escape rooms before. We both really enjoyed the room because there were a good mix of puzzles and an excellent host. We had enough well-timed hints to allow us to escape just before the hour is up - perfect(!) and we appreciate that this relies on a skilled host. The locks are in good condition and although it was a dark room (in keeping with the theme) we had a torch each and both worked well. Other useful info. We were told the rooms have different difficulty levels with Boneyard Cemetery being the most challenging. Although it is a spooky theme, it is not too scary!

Really fun room! Rags to riches was pretty difficult at times but everything had very interesting logical answers and we finished with only 35 secs to go!! phew. The lady that runs the place was so lovely too I can't wait to come back and try another room.

It was mine and my partners first time doing an escape room, we absolutely loved it! Our host couldn’t have been nicer and made us feel so welcome. You receive just enough clues and nudges to help along the way if needed but balanced with being left to your own devices. We would definitely recommend Locked In to anyone who hasn’t been before, it was a great experience!😊
