The Burdock Band provided a full-tilt fun and engaging dance at our wedding. They had a great sound and the caller was good at working the crowd. Our thanks for your willingness to negotiate the space available, for standing by us throughout this challenging year (2020/21) and for bringing so much joy to our festivities. A ceilidh is a fantastic addition to any wedding and the Burdock Band has fair and straightforward pricing.

We hired the Burdock band for our wedding in August this year. They gave the most amazing set. We were blown away by the Mumford and Sons medley- it was absolutely incredible and enjoyed by everyone (including my 92 year old Nan). We have had so many positive comments about the ceilidh band specifically from our family and friends after the wedding. It was such a hit. We know it was Reuben’s first time as an independent caller but it seemed like he had been doing it for years. He was fantastic at getting everyone involved and the dances were great fun!

As someone who has never organised a band before, I was uncertain as to what to consider. Dan was very helpful and responsive, which actually led us to re-think our wedding reception timings - and it was much better for it. On the night Dan and the band were fantastic. The music was top notch and the calling was very fun, with Dan even running an impromptu competition from the mezzanine in the hall with some of the other non-participating guests, letting people decide who was the best dancers, best dressed, best couple etc. It was all very inclusive and we couldn't have asked for a better event. Dan and the band couldn't have been better! They gave us a great evening of musical fun and dancing at our daughter's wedding - very flexible and patient with all the guests with two left feet! What a great bunch of musicians! All hail The Burdoch Band! We had had to postpone our 40th anniversary celebration Ceilidh 3 times due to Covid restrictions (handled positively and well by the band) so it was eventually a much anticipated event - and Dan and the band absolutely made it a great night. The Burdock Band played at our wedding celebration party. They had everyone dancing – from 3 to 80 year olds, and we all had a wonderful time. As caller, Dan judged the feel of the party perfectly, keeping it nice and relaxed. The Blessing dance was particularly fun and added to the joyful feel of the day. Several friends have told us that their children are now keen ceilidh dancers. It was lovely to have live music so well played. Thoroughly recommend.

Fantastic band for a wedding. We booked them recently for a November 2019 wedding and everyone commented on how much fun they had. The band sounded great, were really enthusiastic and very easy to get on with. They even went as far as to prepare a dance based on a song from the Lord of the Rings on request. Highly recommend for a really enjoyable evening of music and dancing :)

We really appreciated how you tailored the evening to us, and included our requests. The 'Waves of Tory' was a definite highlight and the French dance was also a big favourite.
