As good as second hand record shops get. Over from Ireland for the weekend and delighted with the stuff I bought. Bought around 30lps here. Lee the owner is a legend. Highly recommended.
J. M.
A great shop that reminded me of the second hand record shops I used to visit in the 90's. The staff were really friendly. There were records, cassette, tapes all kinds of music paraphernalia. The was singer performing live in store when I was there and she sounded great. I really like this store I just wish the was one like this in London.
B. B.
Great place , went for the for the first time friday , super nice guys that work there and really helpful , got some great records shall be going again .
J. L.
The best record shop in Birmingham, always something different, odd or fascinating to discover.
T. T.
I visited again on Saturday and it’s still as fantastic as ever.
The staff always remember you and can’t do enough to help.
You could spend days looking through the stock.
We’re so lucky to have this place in Birmingham.
Thanks again to all the staff !
I absolutely love this shop !
I’ve ended up buying several records every time I’ve been in there.
The staff are unfailingly friendly and extremely helpful.
They’ve always got great stuff on sale.
I just can’t recommend this place highly enough.
Thanks to all the staff at The Diskery !
P. S.
Great place! Great staff and loads of vinyl..

Astounding record collection I could have stayed and browsed all day... So friendly too they even brought me a cuppa and a slice of cake while I rifled through their shelves.
J. C.

Great little record shop, great to have a proper rummage to find what you're looking for
T. B.
Fantastic second hand vinyl store, established years and years ago, great selection of stock from across all decades and genres, particularly good for me on soul, r+b and blues 45s- loads more in the back if you ask, very good selection of jazz and classical too. Staff are great, the sort of record shop you can hang around in for ages and never get bored and you’ll always come away with a gem. A vintage classic- the best in Brum.

We need places like this in the world. Life has to have people, music and atmospheres like The Diskery. Liam and Co are enthusiasts about their job but also their customers and their open door approachto running a welcoming record store.
I'm so glad it's in Birmingham as I always find something and the prices are fair too.
Big ups to The Diskery. Cheers guys xx
B. S.
A gem of a record store. And it’s all in alphabetical order 😁😁😁 not. Happy rummaging.

Great place, I'm so pleased that shops like this still exist! Friendly staff, loads of time to browse through the very reasonably priced vinyl, AND a couple of turntable with headphones so you can try before you buy!
Will definitely return regularly , can't be many places like this left in the Country.
M. S.
Vintage vinyl and compact discs. Large collections of rock, jazz and soundtracks. Low prices on a lot of the vinyl albums, with many only £1 or £2 each. Very friendly staff who are happy to help; it was my first visit, and they also asked me if I'd like a cup of coffee or tea. Will go back next time I'm in Birmingham.
P. R.
Decent shop, good range of records and prices are reasonable but not great. First went in 1979, and it was my favourite shop in town, back then far better than Reddingtons or the indoor market. Lost a star as condition can vary and some are more fillers than players. Staff are friendly and knowledgable and has a decent choice.
T. M.
Went for a browse and came out 3 hours later. The chaps were lovely and helpful, even made us a cuppa tea. There a wide range of music, books and other music relayed collectibles. Definitely worth a visit
I. S.
The oldest, the friendliest, the best... It's the antithesis of HMV Cargo Warehouse or whatever. This appears a bit chaotic and homemade with it's storage and signs, but once you start looking, you can disappear down a rabbit hole. Second hand is where the variety is and these guys probably know everything about anything. What you can see is probably only a fraction of what they have or can get. You can spend a few quid on MOR trash or a record only worth having for it's cover right up to hundreds on collector's items. If you are in to jazz or classical, there seems to be libraries of the stuff floor to ceiling. And yes they will bring you tea, talk to you and won't laugh at your miserable knowledge of popular music history. Most of the time when I'm in I just want to know what they are playing as it is all unfamiliar to me. For a real nostalgia blast you can listen to records on your own in the corner of the shop. Surrounded by thousands of old records, you will still be there at closing time!
R. J.
Huge (really huge) selection of second hand vinyl, (some new - shop takes part in Record Store Day) reasonable prices but lacks in organisation - great for patient 'crate diggers' and browsers but not for quick visits or easily finding specific items. Staff friendly and helpful if not too busy.
D. N. P.
Wonderful little shop packed full with records for all kinds of people. Didn't quite have what I was after, but they took my details and offered to post if any came in. Even offered us a cup of tea. Definitely worth a visit
S. G.
I used to visit the Diskery in the late 1950s. The stock was very desirable, being acetates of USA records unobtainable in UK that I wanted. I hope the same availabilty of hard-to-obtain, carries on....
m.
what a great record store, its first time i have been in over 35 years
B. S.
Great choice of vinyl and very friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended!!
e. m.
Highly recommend this shop!
Such great vibe, great stuff and fair price.
The staff is something else, I was very happy with the service.
If you're in Birmingham and you're a music enthusiast you have to go to this place!
G. S.
A record shop with a beating heart! Been to too many that seem dry, hollow, soulless. Can't say that about the Diskery. Thousands of records at good prices, very easy to find. On foot from New St just 10 or 15 minutes. There are not many record shops as good as this one. Thanks again
H. S.
So many amazing treasures in that store it's unbelievable, I'm only 16 and I love itttt!. Absolutely amazing staff, always make you feel welcome to come and explore always have smiles on there faces, and one time I was in there and there was more people than usual and one man came out and asked if anyone wanted any tea or coffee. 😁 such a lovely place would Deffinately recommend
L.
Fantastic and wide selection of quality records at great prices! Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, highly recommend! definatly my favourite vinyl store in Birmingham!
v.
If you are a fan of jazz music then this is THE record store in Birmingham for you. Massive selection, friendly staff and deep connections to the local scene this place has it all. (As well as turntable repair and purchase services on request, a nice touch)
S. R.
A superb vinyl shop with a vast collection at the front of the shop and, as one commentator has already written, if you can't find what you're looking for then ask the staff; they're very friendly and knowledgable.
Visiting this shop is one of my favourite past times when in Birmingham.
S. J.
Excellent record shop and really friendly staff. The only trouble was that I didn't have long enough to look through all of the records as I had to catch the train back at a certain time but I'll definitely be back there another day!
C.
It had exactly what I wanted there and more, all at a decent price. Most albums are probably £5-7 but you can pick up some great classics and compilation albums for £1-3. It's surprisingly cheap and very friendly staff; a must visit for any vinyl fan who lives in or is visiting Birmingham.
A. P.
A massive place of musical history in Birmingham alongside great record shops that are no more like Tempest and Don Christie's
D. /.
This is what a vinyl store should be like.
So much choice ( you need a few hours to sort out the vinyl )
Very friendly staff , we were offered a cup of tea , some great bargains to be found.
D. T.
MY MUSICAL PARADISE. This is my personal heaven and the place I was born to live for! This is a magnificent, traditional record shop. It's truly iconic in Birmngham having been around for over 40 years. Sells a varied and vast array of vinyl, CDs, memorabilia and the odd item of interest too. To see all this vinyl is a such a wonderful thing. The staff are truly splendid, also. Do go and offer your patronage. FABULOUS!
P. D.
A great selection of music in a relax no hassle shop. Cheap golden oldies to collectable vinyl a must for music lovers everywhere. You won't be able to come not buying..
J. Z.
Classic record shop with great finds and a good number of collectible LPs.
R. W.
An absolute pleasure to delve intonthe vinyl treasures in this friendly, welcoming old shop. A lovely cuppa and a nice discount on my purchases.
A. W.
Unbelievably wide range of records at decent prices. First time going there today - was welcomed by the Older chap that works there - was even offered Tea & Toast. Will definitely be visiting again soon.
R. H.
Always a friendly service and a good selection of many used vinyl (which suits me fine) plus some new stock. I got a parking ticket for £80 once when I got carried away in the extensive jazz section so allow plenty of time!
K. L.
An Aladdin's cave of vinyl. I was very very impressed. They even went to.the trouble of hunting through some boxes and managed to find a record I had searched high and low for. I was also offered a cuppa! Brilliant shop first class service. Thanks guys
G. S.
Fantastic selection of music. Most in alphabetical order. Excellent staff. Shame we don't live closer as we would visit all the time. Thanks for stocking the singles we were looking for
f. 1.
Paul the owner is a very nice guy. He sorted some things out and put them to one side for me to look at, even telling another customer that I had first look. Very honest guy.
C. M.
Great collection of Vinyl. All tastes catered for although a little pricey for most of the popular stuff you can pick up a bargain from their vast jazz collection
S. F.
If you are a vinyl fan then you should make this your Mecca! You should visit once in your life but I guarantee if you do ... You will return! Wide range of quality vinyl all genres to suit all pockets the Diskery will not let you down.
G. H.
Proper old school record shop. I probably go in once a week and turnover pretty quick. Records not that organised but after 10 minutes sifting can usually find something good. Owner very helpful and friendly.
C. O.
Stacks and stacks of LP's and singles, CDs etc, you can tell the owners have a real passion.
P. C.
Absolutely fascinating place. At first it's little underwhelming & looks disoragnised but you can easily spend a couple of hours thumbing through, which is half the fun! Remember to ask if you can't find what you're after as there appears to be a parallel universe in the attic from which any pressing can be acquired in whatever condition suits your budget.
M. T.
Fantastic old skool treasure trove with space to browse. Really friendly and enthusiastic staff. Great range from reggae to metal to jazz.
K. S.
Amazing place. Went for record store day 2019. Got there early. They asked everyone what they wanted, checked if they got it and if they did they gave you a number and when they open you can go and collect it.
Amazing!
M. M.
Great record shop, old, original and authentic with a great choice of material across all genres, 10 out of 10! A record shop with character!
N. T.
Great place to grab classic music on vinyl, have one of the biggest collections in the city.
Great staff who are friendly and will help you find what you're looking for.
P.
Very lovely staff. Always helpful
J.
You won't find a friendlier place in brum, I've popped in several times since I moved down here and always come out with a bagful of records (which isn't good for the bank). I can't recommend visiting this place enough if you're even just the slightest bit into music and or records. Personally I've acquired some real gems in the shop, such as a 1st pressing Fragile by Yes, and a virtually mint 2nd ed. Of Wish You Were Here- as well as a large collection of disco 7"s. Long story short, its record mecca and any music fan has to visit it at least once.
(P.S. you might get mulled wine over the Christmas period if you're lucky too!)
J. D.
Good selection of vinyl, well organised and fairly priced
M. L.
The place is large and looks amazing. The music they play inside makes you want to check out more records. I mean the place is just great. I guess I should get a record player someday.
B. W.
A record shop the way they should be. So much Vinyl to go through you would be there for weeks! They have something to suit everyone and the guys that work there are so friendly.
M. L.
Great atmosphere, lots of people just come in for a chat. No rip-offs. Some unusual albums. Fairly priced. Listening station. Thousands of old 7" records.
S. W.
Fantastic record shop with loads of records and a warm welcome from Liam who works in there too.Coffee or tea or even a glass of wine is also served.I would highly recommend a visit to The Diskery
M. H.
I want a particular CD for a St.Valentine Day present. Quite excited about my first visit to such a famous place and can't wait to see the store's selection.
I have a wide range of musical tastes and I sure I am going to be like a little girl in a sweet shop.
I shall be coming over from Redditch to Birmingham next week (so I may have my Mom with me)
I was born and bred a "Brummie" even after 44 years in Redditch, Brum is still my home.
P. C.
Google didn't say it was closed on a Sunday However if your into Vinyl records have a look around there massive collection, been there a few times and with a Car park around the corner and the Bullring a short walk you have to have a look
P. W.
Very helpful, very friendly staff. They will help you find what you are looking for and if they haven't got it they will look out for it and contact you when they have it in. Generally a fascinating place to browse if you are in to old vinyl.

Great range of vintage vinyl, knowledgable and friendly staff. Well priced stock with a great 5 quid classics kind of range that has more to offer than the usual Elkie Brooks and Leo Sayer titles that you often find in such bins (sorry Elkie, sorry Leo).
