Fabulous place with wonderful team of geezers who get what it is to retro but modern in outlook. Thanks for embracing our party and making us feel welcome. Your friendliness took away the bad vibes from the previous shop.
Thanks guys

Good mix of old values adapted to suit a modern age.....WELL DONE and great to see.Brilliant helpful and inclusive place. The chaps behind the counter were right up on their music and helpful. Even had Saturday Night Fever in triplicate for only £9.99 each.

Loved this shop, great selection of vinyl at average market price, some rare vinyl, also some bargains to be found. Great customer service too! Very helpful and knowledgeable. A must visit shop in Brighton for anyone looking for used vinyl or CDs.

How anyone who goes here regularly wouldn't leave a five star review is beyond me.
The store sellers are very knowledgeable and know their onions; this might mean that some people feel a bit intimidated by their "I know which year X album was released" attitude...but they're all softies really and very nice guys if you take the time to speak to them.
I bought a copy of Sunflower by The Beach Boys recently and the seller was really enthusiastic about someone buying one of his favourite albums...try getting that at HMV.
Their vinyls are always fairly priced and good condition.
I find stuff in here which is cheaper or the same price as on Discogs (without postage) so I don't think anyone could complain of being ripped off, unless they had no idea what they were talking about.
They usually stock a wide selection of ORIGINALS, so if you think paying £30 for a vinyl which is still in great condition after 30 or so years is too much then yes, maybe Resident is more for you.
Otherwise, they guys here will always check and clean your vinyls for you before you purchase FOR FREE, which as far as I'm concerned is going above and beyond the call of duty for a Brighton vinyl shop.
True legends of Brighton, long may they survive.

Well well well, what can we say about this lovely little place. I've rated Resident Vinyl as Brighton's best for new and reissue vinyl, well this place specialises in cream of the crop used. Spoke to Rikki (hope I'm spelling his name correctly) a man who is an even bigger classic rock aficionado than me and looks a little like Paul Weller, very friendly, and assured me if anything I'd bought was in bad shape to bring it straight back. Happy to say everything I picked up plays great (Led Zeppelin IV, Outlandos d'Amour, Actually and a few others) and I always appreciate a good chinwag about rock legends. Also recommended a great reissue of The Who's My Generation album, assuring me the remix was top notch and I'd enjoy it, which I did. Repeat visits are guaranteed. Treat them with respect, show them that you love music and you'll enjoy your time there. I know I did! Shame I didn't have more to spend actually, Rikki actually gave me a fair discount. Love it.

Nice store, but was dissapointed that owner doesn't take time to glue inner sleeves and records. A bit pricey compared to Monkey Music Emporium in Baker st.

The selection is reasonably good and the staff were friendly. However unfortunately the condition of the records I bought were very poor and scratched.
