My first time in a practice room for several years and was pleasantly surprised. Kit was pretty decent and room I was in seemed nice. Not like the stinky holes of the earth with kit held together by gaffa tape like I'd expected.

In addition to being more affordable than Brighton Electric, Small Pond has a far more welcoming and friendly team of staff who are always very helpful. The gear is also generally in better condition, making this a great place to come for a practice or recording session.

Our go-to rehearsal and recording space. Great vibe here, rooms and equipment are pretty decent and the whole thing is reasonably priced.

Great place to practise instrument. Price is affordable, friendly staff, studio room is quite comfortable, location is very convenient.

Great little studio. We had tried tracking drums at multiple studios in and around Brighton for a few years, always lots of issues at these studios, wish we had found this place sooner. Felt very secure recording in covid times. Had a list of covid secure rules that were totally fair. Sam was at hand to help with any issues and was an all round top bloke. Beautiful gretsch renown to record the drums on too. Clean, tidy, everything worked. we all felt at ease recording during a lockdown. We will be back for sure.

Good facilities, helpful and friendly staff, a useful stock of equipment and snacks and the ability to pay on card. Nice chilling area with games and tea/coffee. Lots of rooms to choose from.
Only downside is you have to book very specific time slots which can be a pain and/or can mean you waste practice time.

The staff is friendly and helpful. It's right in town near the Waitrose which is handy if getting th bus. If your are driving it's a right pain to find parking. The rehearsal rooms are nice but get very hot so you have to ask to get Aircon on. The equipment is pretty good overall.

Finally, an amazing rehearsal/studio space in central Brighton. The rehearsal rooms are well equipped and sound great, the staff are all super friendly and the reception area has an N64 which is just sublime. I've had the pleasure recording drums in the studio as well and I can honestly it sounds phenomenal. There's something about the combination of the live room and the neve desk that makes drums sound incredible. Go and see/hear it for yourself. Well priced too. Top banana

Best practise studio in Brighton. Great staff, nice rooms, decent equipment. Equipment hire at a reasonable price. They had a dog there once aswell.

Always my first choice for rehearsal rooms. Lovely, friendly staff who always make you feel welcome, amazing rooms with good quality equipment, very reasonable prices and great location too. Nothing bad to say whatsoever.

Been coming here 3 years now. Its a great studio for rehearsal and recording, with decent staff and still doesn't smell of onions.
Also, I've noticed a builder in there from time to time doing odd jobs and he is an absolute knockout 10/10

Friendly recording studios and teaching spaces with a selection of drinks and snacks!
Good rates for room hire also however beware of trying to hire a room on Wednesday without previous booking as the BIMM students get Wednesday off and use this space a lot! (I don't blame them)

I heard about Small Pond through a friend of a friend and booked in on a bit of a whim and was completely taken back by the ambience of the place! Very cool guy on reception, great interiors, equipment exactly as requested laid out for us and generally very chilled. I wouldn't hesitate to book a room again. I particularly enjoyed the cat hologram in the WC.

Matt and Antoine are absolute legends. I had to get a last minute piano track down and recorded for my brothers wedding - they squeezed me in that afternoon so... phone-call to track in under 4 hours. Lovely people and a professional result. Thank you

Amazing rehearsal space and recording studio! The equipment is up to date and the rooms are a fair price. Staff are very friendly and have a great selection of food and drink.

The entire studios were made by a team of dedicated friends and their passion for their work is evident in the excellent customer service. Incredible location (just minutes from town centre) Rooms are well equipped, with sizes to suit all needs, from solo artist to big band. Their newly furbished recording studio also boasts a roster of very talented producers and engineers. Oh, and they have an N64 in their foyer. Why am I even typing this? Let's just go there now and play Goldeneye.

This has become our regular rehearsal studio after trying pretty much every one in Brighton. Great location and equipment, have also recorded there and planning to again soon.

Small Pond is a genuinely great place to rehearse and really get as close to your live sound as possible. Really good gear, cool friendly vibes and run by brilliant people. Highly recommended!

NAAAAAAAILED IT!!
Isolated rooms, great staff, happy to daisy-chain another mixer if you're into that, lemony-fresh mics, and they got a HOT red-head on the front desk. WOW!
Small Pond is the practice room equivalent to a perfectly executed high-five 🙏

As one of the premier hard rock groups in Brighton & Hove city, we can't and wont waste time rehearsing in inferior studios lacking an understanding of the needs and requirements of a modern group. We've all been there, haven't we? £30+ on arrival for little more than a toy argos mic lined into a boom box. Decent amplifiers? Forget it. Want to borrow a lead because yours broke? Piss of, mate.
Enter Small Pond.
A handsome recording complex situated in a central yet quiet Brighton & Hove city location, Small Pond boasts a number of clean, well equipped and well soundproofed rooms to suit almost any musical need. All at competitive, reasonable rates.
Far from being a mere recording/rehearsal facility however, Small Pond also provides a space for Brighton & Hove City's brightest, best and latest rock and alternative groups to relax, socialise and network and is fast becoming know as a buzzing hot spot among stalwarts of the local music scene.
Besides all of the above, lets also remember that Small Pond is a new, independent enterprise run by and for local musicians with the utmost professionalism. Whether you need clearer levels on your mics, a tin of Sprite or advice on how to beat that tricky 3rd level on Goldeneye (there is a fully operating N64 entertainment system free for use in the main foyer) Brad, Jorge and the rest of the small pond team will be only too happy to help no matter what your requirements.
So, next time you fancy 'kicking out the jams' why not head down to Small Pond - where everyone can be a big fish.

Been practicing here for a charity gig and the lovely staff have knocked some money off because it's for charity.

Staff are always friendly and understanding when visiting with a service user of ours. I can only comment on the reception area which is pretty cool. Thanks for having free WiFi!

Friendly staff. Clean and tidy room if a bit warm. There was a big fan to keep the air moving though. Cool place.

Mixed my album with the ever-patient in-house engineer, George, at Small Pond this year.
Cannot recommend them more for their help and reasonable prices.
😊🤘

Great price for central Brighton. Amazing stuff. The acoustic in some rooms is not perfect.

Great venue & rooms available, great staff, excellent city centre location! Highly recommend you check this new place out!

Sometimes the room sound is a bit boomy , especially in the big rooms.
It is quite expensive compared to other facilities.
