Independent music shop run by Luthier, David Hardwick. As I entered he was working on one of his own creations. Great all round service. A must for all guitar enthusiasts. Easy access

Just used Woody's for the first time today, what a nice gentleman! Very reasonably priced too, I was expecting my broken string to cost a lot more. The opening hours on Google aren't correct, he's currently open for repairs by booking only until August so if you need a repair, go ahead and give him a call in advanced 👍🏼

Fantastic service here. Had my home-built banjo adjusted and set up which required some fairly extensive structural work and Dave was really helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. His rates are fair and I trusted him. Would highly recommend.

Have been a customer of Woodies for about 5 years now and would recommend the shop very highly. Amazing set-up and repairs for both electric and acoustic. I've bought several other items including amps, pedals, guitars and had great results/prices. For repairs or purchases this is a great little shop.

Dave has consistently saved my 2 most precious acoustic instruments from oblivion.. Set-ups and new nuts/saddles/bridges etc. Brilliant work at very good prices.. Always my first recommendation for anyone looking to repair or buy a guitar. 😀🎸

I have had two guitars serviced and repaired at Woody's, he is nice guy, very knowledgeable and competent with his repairs. I can highly recommend this place and you can be safely assured your guitar is in safe hands :-)

My favourite guitar man in Brighton by far.... whose shop, despite my best intentions otherwise, I simply can't resist visiting whenever I'm in the 'hood. I guess I'll just have to get a room extension added ;) EVERY SINGLE TIME I drop into Woody’s there is yet ANOTHER (reasonably priced) guitar that I just can't live without!!! Add to that equation that the owner David is a conscientious & perfectionist luthier in his own right & I confess I initially felt somewhat intimidated, fearing imminent guitar snobbery. Not a bit of it! He's always been more than reasonable with me & ALWAYS prepared to go the extra mile to make sure I'm ultimately happy with the deal. Top class instruments, top class service, reasonable rates. What's not to like!?!
