I went to canyon sound to record all my demos for my funk and soul band, and my jazz band, and they all sound fantastic! I’ve recorded just vocals there, as well as a full five piece band live, and the sound is always great. Nick is lovely to work with, and takes the time when mixing, to make sure it’s exactly what you want. Also, the place is beautiful, and has a lovely atmosphere, which I think is important when you’re in a space for a long time being creative. HIGHLY recommend!

Canyon Sound has great gear which is well maintained and Nick has a real knack for creating an excellent atmosphere for recording. Perhaps it's the legendary coffee! The room was prepped before the band arrived so set-up time was minimal. The recording session went smoothly and the final mixes sound fantastic, with Nick having used his technical expertise and musician's ear for detail to great effect.

Recording my latest album What We're Made Of at Canyon Sound was fantastic. Nick Dover has created a great space for being creative, it's very relaxed and informal and we got the mood lighting out for some of the vocal sessions. Nick was really keen to explore how different mics worked for me and what sound I wanted to get for each song. Being a very accomplished musician, he has great ears as well as a breadth of experience in styles and a lot of patience! There's a lovely upright piano there, in-tune and great to play. Excellent coffee ,the studio looks great in photos and is just hidden away enough to feel like you are in your own world whilst you are there. I am so pleased and happy with how my album evolved and the finished product - I cannot recommend this studio highly enough!

I recorded 6 tracks at canyon sound earlier this year for a vocal jazz project and they sound great. Nick is able to produce Jazz records that sound authentic yet contemporary, in a way that only a seasoned musician would be able to. Great gear, quick turn around (6 tracks recorded and mixed in a day and half!) and incredibly reasonably priced. I can’t imagine recording anywhere else from now on.
