M.A great electronic musical equipment shop specialising in modular systems and quality customer care. I had a super experience there and bought a Rumble of Ancient Times synth unit. A fantastic device from Soma electronics and I use it most days. The staff at Elevator are absolutely brilliant and friendly. In the same building, there are other music related businesses including a guy upstairs who does synth maintenance. On my next visit, I be taking my old 1976 Roland SH - 1 for a service. Elevator Sound is a synth heaven in Stokes Croft. I highly recommend this shop.

I ordered a fairly niche system that wasn't stocked and they arranged 48hr delivery from Latvia! Staff were helpful, knowledgeable and even put a hand written note in the box.

Basically this place is a nerds paradise for people with an urge for button pressing & knob twiddling instead of mouse clicking. I could spend all my money in here and never understand the potential of the gear. However I kept it 'simple' and came away with 1 box & glad I did.
EDIT: Then I went back for more 'boxes', what a place full of gear. Lovely really.

W.A slightly late review here, I visited the shop having made the trip from London for a weekend in Bristol. I left thinking it's possibly my favourite shop in the world! Run by the most helpful & friendly team I've ever encountered. They make buying gear even more exciting than it usually is. Not only is it like feeling like a kid in a sweet shop again, the amount of effort and help the team go to is unmatched. I got not only masterclass in the modules I was buying, but total patience for my questions. My girlfriend semi took a nap by the windowsill with pillows kindly provided by the team (Ha!). I therefore had no issues whatsoever handing over close to £1,000. Yikes, but so worth it. I can't wait to come back & ensure I make all my future online purchases with them. GREAT SHOP!
