This has to be, quite possibly my number one go to place for Vinyl. They have an astonishing collection - theres something here for everyone! I could spend hours and hours here. So, so much Vinyl! In fact, I come from Bristol with the sole purpose of getting my Vinyl here. Just be sure to inspect and listen to your Vinyl before you buy it. There's some real gems here. Please do not hesitate to give the team at Kellys Records a try - they are very helpful and knowledgeable with all thjngs Vinyl! Excellent shop and team!

The owner was super friendly and talked to us for a while about the history of the shop and it’s place in Cardiff Market. It has a very rustic feel with records to browse. A great alternative to digital downloads with a more personal feel.

Okay, Covid mucks everyone around and the ability to move up and down Kelly's "single" isle (essentially half of the upper tier of Cardiff's indoor market) with the fluidity of a proper vinyl-hunter was turning, even in these lower foot-fall days, a few heads. No actual hissing but my reciprocity between Roxy Music to Bellowhead and back again did raise an eyebrow but I kept my head down and flicked on. I will say it's an odd mix of new PVC and second-hand and I struggled a bit to judge if the old stuff is good value or if it just feels like that because it's doing side-by-side duties with the expensive virgin stuff. But I'm with Jeffrey Lewis & The Voltage on this one (if you haven't heard LPs give it a spin - or should I say stream it off Spotify because that's what we all do prior to pur-chas-ing nowadays), and I'll paraphrase him, vinyl is off the scale nowadays - it's just too expensive. I've got deep pockets (I own analogue reproductive gear valued in the thousands) but recently my beloved hobby of coating my home's walls in pressed polymer and scraping a groove with a cantilevered elliptical diamond to hear my fave tunes seems to have become popular again and it seems like the dealers are taking the public for a ride. I don't blame them, and the right to make hay whilst the sun shines is theirs alone since they've stuck with this format through thick and thin. But I think there should be two price tags - the one for the about town trendy who'll probably bung it on the wall and one for the rest of us so that when vinyl nose-dives again we don't have a decade-sized hole where we couldn't afford to buy anything. Great emporium but loses a shiny because of this.

Difficult to find new Wave or punk pearls, but if you are looking for everything else you will not be disappointed. (Original) Negozio d’altri tempi per collocazione e repertorio, specializzato in musica d’essai e d’altri tempi. Difficile trovarci perle new Wave o punk, ma se cercate tutto il resto non rimarrete delusi.
