What a wonderful place! The building and its interior are beautiful and it's such a welcoming, inspiring space. The staff are great and looked after me as a disabled visitor. I saw some live bands and the sound quality is amazing. I think everyone should visit, even for just a coffee.

I've spent so much time in Dubrek over the last seven years. It's always been at the top of my list for rehearsal or recording. The practice rooms have acoustic treatment, which is very handy if you've got a cymbal happy drummer. And the live room sounds great. But most importantly Jay can handle pretty much whatever you throw at him (musically, not literally). I've recorded there as part of a guitar orchestra with six other guitarists and it was a completely relaxed and fun experience.

I've used Dubrek in several capacities over the last year. As a rehearsal space it's clean and well equiped; as a studio it has a great sound and enough space for great audio and video recording; and as a community space it is excellent - the cafe area is comfortable and inviting, the bar well stocked, and the rear beer garden peaceful. The owners are positive and approachable and I plan to continue making use of Dubrek Studios for a long time to come.

I've only ever rehearsed here (would love to record, will do in the future hopefully) but dubrek has easily the best rehearsal rooms in the area, my band practice twice a week there and we always enjoy it, awesome sound & equipment. it's also starting to become one of the better music venues in derby too, booking some bands that you wouldn't really get anywhere else in the city! and with it's art/photography exhibitions too it's just becoming a really cool creative space, would be my first recommendation for any bands in the midlands looking for a rehearsal room/recording studio

Nowhere City Riot Recorded at Dubrek in June 2017 - It was the hottest weekend of the year in every sense. The weather was scorching and so was the work we did in the studio. Jay was great to work with, laid back and fun. But behind that he was deeply professional, thorough. with intense attention to detail and a great ear to pick things up. We asked for some creative input and he came up with some great ideas that have worked really well. All of this was done in an environment that is vibrant, homely, clean, professional and with a host of awesome gear. Dubrek Rocks!!!!

Had a really great time recording at Dubrek. Jay fitted the brief of what I asked for on the day spot on, and was setup and recording really quickly. Great sounding room, lovely monitors in the control room, really pleased with what we came away with.

Recorded at Dubrek a few weeks ago and its an excellent facility with a very experienced and talented engineer. I've just finished mixing one of the tracks we recorded there and i can say that the acoustics of the live room are really gorgous. The equipment is top notch and i understand an SSL, Neve, API custom made clone desk is on the way which would make it irresistable to use again. Can't recommend it enough.
