Great little shop with lots of variety in CDs and vinyl. Quite a bit of digging needed to get through their collection which I found enjoyable. Staff were clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about their business which is great to see :] highly recommend this place.

A bit overpriced (I read that they price match with amazon including delivery - if so why bother coming down there if you can have it delivered to your doorstep for the same price). Staff was unfriendly, did not offer to help, unenthusiastic when requested (and we were very eager to buy and not just browse), a bit short with my friend for looking at a pile that was apparently not for sale, just overall made us uncomfortable. We did spend about 70 pounds in his shop. Despite these points we did find quite some vinyls so I suppose they have a good range of them. Edit to reflect the response given by Darren: isn't the purpose of google review to leave a review of your experience at the place? I was very detailed in why I was disappointed and they are all valid points, I also mentioned what I thought was good about the place. Your response perhaps is a bit more enlightening of the way how the place is run and why we were uncomfortable in it!

Great destination for vinyl, Friendly staff helped me pick out a selection of old soul singles as a gift for my wife (which went down really well!) and I left with my favourite Boards of Canada album. Knowledgeable staff and great place for a browse.

Yeah VoxBox is OK, my only problem is there is lots of vinyl all over the place, you have to lean over everything and the guy who works the counter never spoke to me once bit of a shame as I do like digging the crates. In fairness it's good for digging. 😁 …

Went in recently and found some real gems (2nd hand and new). Fair prices and a great selection. Shop assistant was really helpful, knowledgable and enthusiastic, - even played a few vinyls for me just to try them out. I'll be back!

Five stars might be a tad too much, but found a couple of good records at fair prices and the clerk Ollie gave me a discount, so all in all a very good experience. Happy to see they carry Razorkcake. It´s seldom to find record stores carrying fanzines, hence 5 stars for that as well.

Great small shop! Records very well taken care of for reasonable prices. Good selection of UK and US artists from the 50’s to now. Cards accepted. Bus 24 and 42 are very close, 2 minutes walk.

I love this shop. It's probably the best record shop in the Edinburgh area. There are plenty of new releases and I often come away with a handful of indie/alternative releases for around the £15 mark. There's plenty of used vinyl too - classic rock, oldies, alternative etc. The bargains round the back are fun too, especially the LPs. What's best about the shop us the feel of it. The people who work there are really nice and you are constantly tripping over boxes of records. It can be a bit chaotic but that's what's charming about it.

Excellent music shop on St Stephen's Street in StockB. Staff know their stuff but are unintimidating to those who don't and will happily recommend something for you or chat away about what you're looking for. While they don't stock all the latest releases on vinyl, their second hand selection is excellent and they do keep a lot of great, local bands on the shelves.

One of my favourite record shops in Edinburgh, who are very supportive of the music scene in the city. Their bargain back room always holds some nice surprises!

Looking for the sort of music shop where you could spend hours flicking through vinyls and always find a hidden gem? If this is the case, head to Vox Box music in Stockbridge to add to your music collection. The owner of Vox Box, Darren, really knows his music. Ask for recommendations and he will give you a long list of bands, old and new, that will fit your musical tastes. He’s also a real champion of local emerging artists. It’s a great shop, where you’re bound to find something to add to your collection.

The vinyls here are very good with a wide range however stating they also sell CDs on their website is a bit misleading as they had one small shelf of mostly "Now" compilation CDs also staff basically ignored us
