s. l.I just bought a violin bow here today. It provided me a private and quite place to try a range of bows freely. Although am not a skillful player I felt free and picked the most comfortable one in a acceptable price.

K.I was starting an absolute beginners online course but worried that i wouldn't be able to tune the hired violin so looked around to see where I could get assistance and up popped The Violin Shop. The man was very helpful and tuned it in no time. I also took in a garish blue violin that I bought second hand online, hardly used, to get a replacement string but he reckoned that I would be spending good money on bad as it would need all strings and bridge changed to get half a decent sound out of it. He could have just made the changes and charged me so I am most grateful for his honesty. If I do actually manage to play the violin then I will be back to buy one from him.

Although a distance from the centre of Glasgow, and thus a bit of a trek with a cello, was definitely worth it. Repair work was very reasonably priced and seems to be of good quality. Additionally, it was carried out in time for a concert I had not three days later, after I mentioned the imminent need.
Would certainly recommend over Stringers in Edinburgh.

R. S.Probably not the first to say that the shop wouldn't be out of place on Diagon Alley. They might even do a line in wands. But seriously folks I couldn't be happier with my visit. I was in the market for a new fiddle and I was given free reign to try out which ever instrument I wanted. My visit coincided with a visit from a pro fiddler trying out new bows, so I was treated to a recital into the bargain.
