Bookshop and Record shop specialising in poetry and literature. A decent café as well. Performance space upstairs, used by local performers as well as performers from across the UK. If you want culture with your coffee, come here.

Like stepping back in time... an awesome music shop with rows of delicious vinyl and CDs, as well as a nice little selection of books. At the back there's a cafe serving good coffee and tasty treats. Upstairs there is a meeting space where you can catch the film club and local author launch nights. Love it.

A very spacious shop, full of vinyl records (with some CDs & cassettes), music-related merchadise & gifts, & of course books - including publications by local authors. Friendly & helpful service, too. At the back of the shop, is a well-lit, & relaxed, cafe. Amongst the various teas & coffees, it serves delicious cakes & savouries, with a good selection of wine & beers, too. What more could you want?

Have bought records etc from Gary for a few years now in his shops various forms and always been happy with the service and items bought. His new shop in whitefriargate in Hull is a major step up, I called in today (30th June) and bought some vinyl and was really impressed with the layout and choice available, and will be trying the cafe next time, which I was informed is the best on the planet, so that's a plus!
