s.Love HMV, such a shame that our local branch in Peterborough closed down so Leicester is the closest one. Even though you can order online you can't beat going to an actual store.

L.One of my favourite shops to go to. Amazing range of KPOP albums and merch but I wish there was more IU and Loona albums. The albums are a bit overpriced but it’s worth it. 100% recommend to kpop fans. Especially NCTzens, Army, Moa, Once, Blink, Stay, and Monbebe.

J. J.Good shop with lots of stock. Prices vary but some good deals to be had if you look through. Didn't specifically look for lift access but escalator takes you down but need to use stairs coming back up so be aware if mobility issues.
O. B.A great collection of vinyls and music T shirts. Always a great place for music lovers to go. The range of speakers is good, with a good price range too, however the selection of earphones is even better with lots of choice from quite cheap to very expensive.

B. F.This is a survivor of a dying breed of stores. It's recently came back from recently being shut down in a story that resembles a Hallmark movie where the good guys win. Excellent selection and definitely has a novelty factor. Does have good merchandise that don't have digital equivalents, like posters and speakers

K. W.Good to still have a proper record shop in Leicester instead of bloody on line rubbish. They seem to have most things in stock including a wide selection of Vinyl which isn't coming back because it hasn't been anywhere. I do miss the 7" Singles though.
J. K.I was unable to attend the Keane Cause and Effect album signing, however the staff at HMV got albums signed and sent to me. They arrived within two days and were packaged fantastically well. I really appreciated the brilliant service- I feel they really went above the call of duty.

E.The last music store standing on the high street and long may they rein. However, they need to make the stores a "destination" that people want to visit. There should has in- store gigs for established, new and unsigned artists. They should also offer weekly prizes of gig, cinema tickets etc. They should also bring back the kiosks where you could scan a CD and preview the tracks.
a.I really like the store and has improved alot with the amount of kpop albums there are, just wish there would be more of different kpop artists.
and I appreciate how they put up some clothes regarding to a certain kpop group.

A VERY large & varied choice of films including a new exclusive range of DVD blue ray with extras of films from the 1950s, 60s, & 70s.
Well worth a visit just now for Xmas gifts to. Places to eat & drink on the doorstep to.
I. R.Always a joy to browse. Pity it was close to empty though, if you're in the area please check out Rock-A-Boom Records in Malcolm's Arcade; the best (and likely oldest) independent record shop in Leicester.

I would say it could be a little bigger and a have a wider range of DVD's, if has a lot already but definitely could do with more.

A great place to find a CD you didn't realise you needed to listen to before you went in. A large number of memory-jogging displays and the prices are good.

S. H.For those of us who are old school enough to want to go into a proper shop, and buy an actual cd, dvd or Blu-ray this place is brilliant. The download generation don't understand the magic of taking of the shrink wrap and putting a disc in a player and experiencing something magical. Let it never change.

S. B.Hi my name is Sue and I have a lot to ask about this place ok🤑. It is one of the most expensive record shops I have ever known and the service is not that good either 🤑. But l do not shop there anymore l am find somewhere else to get my CDs from 🙃. And that is a lot better for me and easier for me because I am disabled and H.M.V. is very hard to get in if you are disabled the life is very small and most of the time it is not working so you can't get up to see the CDs all down to see DVDs and Blu rays and that's why I don't shop there anymore ok that's me finished on that particular store ☹️. So all l can say is goodbye for now yours faithfully Ms S Birchenall 😤.

A. C.Plenty of stock available to buy, especially for t-shirts and CD's. Genres of CD's available was also good and every genre has a decent amount of artists and variety available. A tad pricey but I think that can apply to HMV in general.
M. H.Whew... What a sweaty day. HMV has expensive band t-shirts, but maybe that means the band's get more money... But then they're all bands that already have loads of money. Metallica doesn't need anymore money. They should share some with Diamond Head. Or maybe HMV should stock more band t-shirts by bands that aren't every youth pastors favourite (secular) band. I'd pay £20 for a High on Fire shirt. By the way, they won a Grammy so they aren't even obscure. The dvd selection (only looked at the kids section because my twerps are still buying hard copy formats) was ok. Actually it was pretty poor. My kids want adventure dog, blue cat fish show and the other one about the sponge and there was hardly any of them there. And then when I buy one, my kid tells me they have FBI warnings on them. I didn't move all the way from America to come to settle in England and get FBI warnings on my dvds! The shops AC was barely on in case you cared. Forbidden planet and game both have very good AC should you need a break from sweaty afternoon shopping trips. Oh, yeah, the HMV looks pretty sparse here and there too. I guess people like being rushed into new formats for their media for no other reason than to line the pockets of the capitalist class.
M. H.HMV is a great shop but their prices are not the best sometimes. The do have good sales thought occasionally. The Leicester store has a large selection of dvds/blu rays, cds and vinyls

W.This store carries the burden of being the only place in Leicester (at the moment) where you can find a wide selection of new records and although I'd prefer to support an indie store, Leicester is lacking. To be fair, the record selection has expanded greatly in recent months and you can always find something interesting, with a good range of offers too and a decent loyalty scheme. I'd recommend it above the nearest HMV stores in Nottm and Birmingham, purely on records alone.

R. S.Hmv is a great place for music and DVD etc it's a hell of a shock the way it is now losing trade. I'm thinking what you could do reduce costs etc cut down on opening hours and probably hmv will survive hopefully. The internet has totally ruined it all not just people downloading music, I love hmv I like to get stuff from there it's the only music shop in town or any other towns I like to browse and I never usually walk out without buying something. Hmv have been in trouble 6 years ago and then survived, I hope everything goes well and keep everyone in a job there and gets saved this time and think of something although what i put is my suggestion what you could do. A bad thing is cutting down on staff by making a few redundancies but if that I'll be very sorry about it or cut down on wages or every staff go on part time. Once again hope it goes well and keep in business Good luck I ordered a load of CDs DVDs t-shirts mugs keyrings etc possible
