We used Pirate Studio for a rehearsal today, 6 of us hired one their XL rooms for a couple of hours (£23). It had good quality kit considering- Mackie active P.A speaker, which got over the top of 2 guitarists rocking out. Mapex 3 Tom kit, which was actually in good condition after a minor tuning. We took our own guitar cabs as they don't supply any, which wasn't an issue at all. Keycode access was easy and quick via email, the place was tidy and well kept. We will use the place again definitely, good value.

Cheap room but having to pay for parking made it an expensive 2 hours.Kit was OK, nothing fancy. But a "large room" was a bit cramped for a 5 piece. Lighting a bit too low and couldn't get the AC working so got very sticky. If you've a 4 piece or less and live local it not too bad. But if you travel, require parking and above 4 in your band....there are better options nearby!

Easy to book and the rooms are still ok but unfortunately it has gotten a bit shabby, struggled to get in as code didn't work and couldn't adjust hi-hat stand. I understand things are difficult at the mo but it needs some TLC.

This place is great for rehearsals, you can get a wide range of room sizes with different equipment in depending on what you do, which is clearly displayed on the website for when you book too, so super helpful! Really affordable too. And if there's something missing, you can call them and they will guide you from there. Only criticism is that the toilets are a bit broken (the tap was literally hanging off the sink, there wasn't any soap in one of the cubicles, and there's nothing to dry your hands on which can be quite dangerous when using electrical equipment). But all things considered it's still my favourite place to rehearse or even just chill with my friends with our instruments!

Great cheap priced studio. The bigger rooms are a fair size and the kit is not whipped (yet) The only thing that let's it down is the parking....As in there is only about 6 or 7 usable spaces and it's an extra £3 to park in the next door car park. This turns a reasonably priced rehearsal into an expensive one.

Affordable place to practice. Was given a code when booked for the main doors and practice room door, as there are no staff on hand (hence the cheap price). Good sound in the practice rooms and free WiFi. Along with a telephone number in case anything isn’t right with your session.

New rehearsal studio. Very little parking which is a nuisance if you have kit to unload. Code for door. Small reception and sitting area. Clean and tidy. Most equipment currently in good condition.

Easy to book, good value, and decent equipment. Some of the amps could be more powerful (as advertised for certain rooms), but everything works and is of good quality.

We learned to pillage and reave and loot. Not as much sailing as I would have liked. Overall a good starter course. I took 2 electives, The Gold Markets, and "Bargaining your way out of a certain death situation" - part II. Would recommend the later, very instructive.

Just the kind of space to spend some quality practice time... Easy access system via web booking and a cheery phone helpdesk.. lots of nice kit, sounds mega in studio 4 i found this week that comes with it's own drumkit!! 24hrs too :-) Magic

Incredible facilities at a super cheap price, the online booking process is very straightforward and simple and the live recording feature is fantastic, i 100% recommend pirate studios to all musicians looking for rehearsal space.

Impossible parking and frequent problems with access code. Not well insulated if heavy rock band turned up to 11 next door. Bit expensive.

No staff around to answer questions. Which is quite inconvenient. Signs are not clear enough to direct us around the building. Hard to locate the place and parking is not clear. But facilities are quite good
