The best experience in a drum shop I’ve had, And I was hungover!
I arrived wanting some cymbals and new snare drum with some already in mind.
I was encouraged to try out some other options and compare popular cymbals side by side. I wasn’t pushed into any sales, in fact I was encouraged to wait and try some hats and the snare that they didn’t have even have in stock.
I ended up being there for 2 hours, analysing and comparing the sounds of different drums and cymbals and left empty handed but with a solid decision of what I wanted.
I’ve now ordered it all from their website and they’ve willingly exchanged one of the items in a set for me, with no questions asked.
5 star review !

Really helpful and knowledgeable staff and a good range of gear in stock.
They helped me audition a kit I was interested in and some good accessories to suit.

Excellent and helpful service. I was able to book a practice session for free which helped the staff advise me on the best gear to suit my playing style. Highly recommend!!

I feel like I practically live at this shop as I'm in so often!
Whether you're a seasoned pro or an amateur drummer / percussionist, all roads lead to Footes! They carry a wide range of instruments, cymbals sticks, practise pads and tools both in store and online. Whatever they don't have onsite, they can usually order. Speak to Nathan about bespoke items as there's not much in the trade that man doesn't know.
And if all the above isn't enough to get you into the shop, they also offer drum kit and percussion lessons for children and adults and studio hire if you just need solo practise.
I take advantage of all the above and genuinely rate them. It's like I said - I practically live there!

As a drum tech Footes was my favorite drum store in the world. Looking forward to a trip home after a real cup of tea I'll stop by the store and relive some fond memories.

Dedicated place ,nice people ! All about drums and percussion, plus practice studio etc.
Recommended, as buying from the internet doesn't cover the emergency needs or the need to see and touch the items...
Let's keep the neighbourhood and high street stores alive !

A really great range of percussion based products, and an amazing cymbal room! Browsing through this shop is so much fun

Good fun place! Went in to buy a new kit and some hardware last week, ended up spending nearly and hour and a half in the store browsing! The guys were great and patient and answered all my questions. Had a bit of a delay with the delivery company posting the kit to my house, but the Footes guys were great on the phone and got it sorted for me asap. Definitely recommend checking them out when in town!

Rob is an absolute legend, a wealth of knowledge and full of sound advice. He gladly ordered me in a large selection A-Customs, which I spent comparing over 3 hours in the practice room, eventually walking away with a full setup refresh. The shop has iconic status and is Aladdin's cave for any serious player / enthusiast - it's well worth a visit in person.

What brilliant service. The guy who looked after my son and advised him on what cymbals to buy was fantastic...even to the point of suggesting he buys a much cheaper second hand cymbal rather than a new one. Getting out loads of different cymbals to try and compare and taljed about different materials, weights and sizes. Thoroughly recommend them and we'll definitely go back (even though they are 100 miles away!)

Friendly team, gives practical advice and not just trying to sell product. I went for violin strings and didn't know how to change it myself. The staff was very friendly and patience and show me how to change it as well. Other people leave review they are good, I agreed totally!

Got a pair of Alpine earplugs here for my tinnitus and had a little chat with the guy at the counter. It was nice talking with someone with my same condition. If you are reading this review, good luck and take care, man. And if you have tinnitus, take a look at this store, they have the earplugs you need to protect your ears and still have audio clarity.

World class drum shop, absolutely incredible service, I couldn't recommend highly enough. A massive thanks to Rob, Sam and Nathan.

Awesome store, loads of cool and high quality products. I only went in to buy some sticks and I was given a bunch of different ones to try out on a great electronic kit. Very friendly and comprehensive, new go-to store.

Brought my first setup from these guys in December 2017 and been going back ever since, had amazing dealings with Nick and Rob cant do enough for you full of knowledge and so helpful cant do enough for you. Highly recommended.

Wide range of percussion instruments, good staff who really try to help you in any way possible!

Footes: Best music shop in London imo! Especially for drums and percussion. Few places left that you can still try kits, cymbals and other noisy things out these days. You don't get that online!
So it's great that they're still going in their new Store Street location.
Cheers guys!! :)

Visited today 1st time at this location. My previous experience was at their golden square store some 40 years ago. Thanks guys. service and a friendly approach not seen in some other stores I’ve used in Sussex will definitely be back

Good selection of percussion instrument for different ranges of expertise. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and they are generous with their advice if you would like it.

Was really pleased to find the LP Cajon kick pedal, and beater in stock as opposed to the huge drum shop who always seems to only have ex display models left of what I want. Cool guys here and was interested to see a nice looking/sounding darbuka by Toca there.
F. G.
Best place to listen to and purchase cymbals. The downstairs 'practice' area has many cymbals on display to listen to and get the set that works best for your individual drumming style.
R. D.
I have a drumming back pain due to bad posture and they gave a lot of help and advice and have a great range of drum stools. Highly recommend.
M. H.
Great choice of instruments, mostly specializing in Percussion by the looks of the shop, Friendly and helpful service, even did me a deal on a carry case for a Cajon I bought!. Very satisfied!

I have been going to Footes for around 5 years. A place of drumming delights and a welcome retreat from the merry go round of London life. Pop in to find helpful staff full of knowledge and opinions - Moonie versus Bonham, the difference between the subtle tones of a Gretsch snare competing against the ruthless crack of Ludvig's chrome counterpart. It takes me back to being a 13 year old boy, in awe of these glorious drums - a place I'm happy to return to. For as Pete states: Rock n roll doesn't cure our problems but it helps us dance all over them.
