Great (not too well known) venue. Down in the basement, but not at all claustrophobic. Two concert Halls, both well suited to purpose. Lots of World Music events here. I enjoyed a brilliant concert with Syrian Qanoun player Maya Youssef and other musicians, plus the beautiful voice of Hansa Mounif. The acoustics seem good to me. There's a cloakroom to leave bags and coats if you wish. Clean toilets and more cubicles for women than.many West End theatres offer!. A bar, nibbles (hopefully the quick, snack type restaurant which used to be on ground floor will re-open with its healthy salads, soups, sandwiches etc) also an expensive restaurant overlooking the canal. Sometimes Art and Photographic exhibitions here, and I have seen the occasional film, usually with connections to the music. If you're into less conventional modern music, experimental stuff, this is also a good venue. Near Kings Cross and other good transport connections.

This is my fourth trip to Kings Place and every year it works its magic. The ground floor restaurant and bar are extremely useful and enjoyable. Heading downstairs it gets a little dark and feels subterranean but good lighting and artwork help to make it a good place to be. The bottom floor is similar to the 'lower ground' floor but the atmosphere is lifted by a bar and great artwork. All in all Kings Place is a fantastic venue and is well worth the visit.

Area outside a bit dark, isolated and scary but once inside it's like a haven with everything needed for a great evening and performance. Very impressive acoustics.
