My daughter has made great progress with Nat on both classical and bass guitar. He has followed her interests and shaped lessons accordingly. The post lesson notes are also great for practice reminders.

Uke lessons with Nat through lockdown and beyond, have been a life saver. Nat is a great teacher and his enthusiasm for music is infectious. I not only enjoy the lessons, but practising with Nat's tips as a prompt, is a pleasure and I have learnt so much about music.

Nat is an excellent communicator. He has fantastic knowledge and is passionate about his subject. He takes time to explain things and is very patient! He is also very encouraging and he sends me a record of our lesson to help me to revise and improve. I would highly recommend Nat as a teacher.

I've never played an acoustic guitar before starting my lessons with Nat. After few months I really have to thank him for all his effort and patience to make me playing one of my favourite song finally.
Nat is really friendly, passionate and flexible and he has an amazing knowledge of different musical instruments. I would totally recommend his teaching if you love Music.

i've been learning guitar with nat for the last year or so now and really been enjoying it, he's really knowledgeable and creates a great learning environment with space to learn in your own way, would very much recommend!

I recently took up piano from scratch at the, um, advanced age of 42. Nat's lessons were great in that his focus for me straight away was on getting to play the music I was interested in rather than working through any standard playbook. It's an engaging way to learn and I certainly surprised myself with the quick results. Very flexible, very supportive and enthusiastic about what he's teaching, would definitely recommend him if you're starting out on any instrument somewhat later in the day.

Nat is a natural teacher, and an amazing musician with an infectious enthusiasm for all types of music!
I was returning to the guitar after a long absence, and Nat knew instinctively what to do. He didn’t rely on formulaic pathways but immediately spotted the fundamental areas I needed to work on. He chose pieces and practices that I actually enjoyed, and showed me a whole new side that I had missed in my previous playing.
Nat is also meticulous with his lesson plans and follow ups, and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of music of all types. I highly recommend him!

Nat has an immense musical knowledge and is a welcoming, friendly teacher who is able to be flexible around my schedule. I am a piano player and wanted to learn guitar as a new challenge. I feel I have learned so much in just a few months. If I struggle with a guitar concept he is able to use my existing music theory knowledge for piano and translate it into guitar which is massively helpful. Every lesson is interesting and fun.

I found Nat to be a great teacher for the piano. I'd never played one before and Nat guided me through all the theory, terminology and practicality with great patience and explanation.
I felt my skill with piano building quickly and he also used the guitar to transfer information I wasn't quite understanding through piano which helped as I have some experience playing guitar.
Unfortunately I had to move from London but I hope my next tutor is as good as Nat.
I would highly recommend him to any beginner, intermediate or anyone in search of new techniques or styles.

I've known Nat for about three years now, I started attending guitar lessons when I was fourteen and I switched to bass the next year. Nat has been extremely flexible in planning lessons around what I wished to learn and was patient throughout my learning, which was incredibly helpful as I didn't come naturally or exceptionally quickly to music. He is a very down-to-earth guy and on top of that is an absolutely brilliant teacher who helped me build up my repertoire of theoretical and practical music and bass skills and he is a bloody good musician too, which helps. Might I add that he also makes a mean cup of tea! I'd recommend Nat for just about any casual, amateur or the more full-time and hardcore music students.

Nat has a very friendly, flexible and (thankfully for me) patient teaching style. From a standing start Nat has quickly got me and my daughter playing songs we enjoy while gently encouraging us to learn new techniques and develop our musical style. I would highly recommend Nat for anyone looking for music tuition.

I've been having lessons with Nat for a couple of years, both electric guitar and bass guitar. Nat’s knowledge about different instruments and music styles has made me want to learn more about styles and techniques I wasn't that interested to start with, mainly due to the fact that he enjoys doing the lessons and exploring different things as much as myself when we are in class. My instrument skills, music theory, improvisation, all have improved a lot since I started with him.

I wanted to learn guitar for fun and for a new challenge. As a complete beginner, Nat made me believe I could learn to play and was very encouraging. He loves music and his enthusiasm is catching, he’s a great teacher and he makes good tea! If you’re thinking about learning guitar, I’d definitely recommend Nat.

Ive been having piano lessons with Nat for a few months and my piano playing is really coming along. Nat is patient and receptive to my interests and always structures lessons around my taste and skill level. I would certainly recommend Nat to anyone interested in starting piano. No matter what age or commitment level.

Nat is a wonderful teacher. He teaches my daughter piano and is extremely patient and kind with her. He helps her to really understand the instrument , and by teaching her the sort of music she is interested in he really captures her interest and enthusiasm. I highly recommend him.

I've been working with Nat on electric guitar for the last 5 months and have learnt a lot in a short space of time! The lessons are relaxed, the quality of teaching is high and the supporting materials are excellent. Nat's also very happy to explain different styles and the theory behind the music. Highly recommended!

I had zero experience in piano or music when I started with Nat. In few months I have improved a lot my technique and understanding of music theory, and I am already able to have a lot of fun with the instrument, which is exactly what I was looking for. He’s really passionate about music and has a vast understanding in a lot of different genres, and you can perceive that during the lessons. I would totally recommend him!

Nat's been teaching me for about a year and he's radically improved my playing. The improvements that Ive made has been with accuracy, musical theory and how to use my guitar effects/amp. Ive also started to play more finger style techniques something I never thought I would do.
Nat observes your playing and provides real tips on how to improve. If your looking for a teacher I highly recommend him!

I had guitar lessons with Nat from the ages 14 through to 20 and in that time I went from a complete beginner to playing professionally. Nat’s personable and relaxed approach meant that the guitar never felt a chore, and I always looked forward to playing. During my time with Nat I achieved both LCM Grade 8 Pop Music Theory and Rockschool Grade 8 Guitar. Perhaps most importantly, Nat’s insatiable curiosity and systematic approach to the guitar inspired me to continue learning on my own and explore music to the full!

Nat's a great all round music teacher. I am a songwriter and composer by profession and wanted to brush up on my piano playing, notation reading and music theory, he has delivered on all three. Highly recommended.

I've been having piano lesson from Nat for a few months now. He's friendly, cheerful encouraging, and incredibly knowledgeable about music theory, making this pretty daunting side of things interesting and accessible. He obviously puts time into thinking and planning out sessions beforehand, choosing music well matched to my interests and level of playing. He challenges me with the work I put in outside of lesson times and I always feel like I come away having learned a good handful of things each session. My playing level and knowledge are increasing well with his teaching and I can really feel the progress - I just need to find more practise time to get through everything he manages to cover in a lesson! Cheers Nat.

Nat teaches piano to my boys aged 11 and 8. He makes sure the lessons are full and fun, and is sensitive to their interests and temperaments. I wanted a teacher who didn't turn piano and music into a chore to be resisted and Nat is spot on - it feels like they are being taught by a terrific musician who is also able to teach inspiringly and they respond well to that.

Nat is a first-class teacher. He makes lessons stimulating, challenging and fun. He has taught me piano and my son electric guitar and he tailors the lessons brilliantly to our individual levels, musical interests and styles.
J. B.
Of the several guitar teachers I have had over the 13 years I have been playing, Nat is undoubtedly the best. He is extremely passionate about the guitar and music in general, and has taken an active interest in my progress, always going far beyond the bassline of what would be formally required of him. As I am interested in learning jazz, Nat has taken the time to upgrade his teaching resources to specifically accomodate my needs, and has provided me with pre-prepared materials as well as devised new systems, databases and playlists that make this challenging area of music fun and approachable. In addition to his high technical level, Nat is adept in his understanding of music theory, and is always able to help you to see deeper patterns in the music you are playing and to appreciate deeper possibilities and fresh angles you could not have considered. I would actually give higher than a 5 star rating if possible, as Nat's teaching has far exceeded any expectations I might have had.

Responsive, patient, challenging and enthusiastic – Nat is an excellent teacher. Versatile and with a great knowledge base, he has covered a wide range of material so far: songs I want to learn, scales and learning the fretboard, finger-picking, fundamentals of jazz guitar.

I had a very specific requirement regarding my guitar tuition which transcended beyond learning to play songs and towards the development of an individualistic style based on established styles and techniques. Though hard to explain, Nat got this immediately and tailored an individualized learning programme that is producing some fantastic creative results. The greatest challenge is confining such inspired teaching and learning within the hour session.

I've had piano lessons with Nat for more than a year now, and I can say that I have improved a lot in my technique with the instrument and knowledge of music in general. We have explored different genres of music, learning things from each one of them, making the overall experience both interesting and comfortable.

I've been taking bass lessons with Nat and he is a very knowledgable and friendly teacher. He also pushes towards developing musical creativity than skills. Highly recommend.

Great teacher with an engaging and friendly manner. His enthusiasm and energy in teaching and passion for all things musical is really refreshing and motivating. Of particular note is the great effort he goes to with preparing for lessons and following up with practice notes and materials. Would recommended 10/10.

Nat is a friendly teacher who always prepares customised lessons. He will also look into genres that you enjoy and make it fitting for you. I really enjoyed his lessons and would highly recommend.

Enjoying my piano lessons with Nat. He's a friendly and diligent teacher. Started learning piano in my 30s.

Really great teacher and an all round nice guy. Gave me a good mix of theory and practice. And demonstrated patience with my lack of musical talent that may have qualified him for sainthood! If he can teach me to play guitar, he can pretty much teach anyone!
