Excellent selection of vinyl and books. If you can't find it ask Michael and he can dig it out for you. Great coffee as you dig. The soul nights and live bands are an extra touch. Best shop in London.

Although it is what it says it is (a book and record shop)I had a wonderful evening of live music in this cute and quirky shop. It was the first of a monthly session of music, Great organisers, beautiful people, the owner is a wonderful human. One toilet and only a few seats incase that's important. Love this area of West Norwood. This is as magical shop when the night comes in the music begins (at least monthly!)

What a gem! Visited here earlier today and was amazed by the selection of records to hand and even the choice of books. So great to have places like this around, enjoyed that.
A stone throw away fro West Norwood station which has good connections coming from east or west.
Will be visiting again and buying some more records and posting some pictures 😃
A very solid A*****

Digger's delight!!!
This record and book shop is crammed floor to ceiling with treasure and undiscovered gems.. Be prepared to search through the huge amount of stock and you will be rewarded. Visiting on a Sunday, I had a great time chatting with the lovely guy working called Dorian, I was more than pleased with the vinyl and CD's I picked up. One of the best record shops I have been to in London \(๑╹◡╹๑)ノ♬

Hell of a place - huge variety of vinyl and books, all curated by the expert, benevolent owner.

Great selection of second hand vinyl and some new gems too. Very knowledgable and helpful owner. Coffee and fully licensed bar. With a very good selection of second-hand books and a monthly club night, radio station and a stick-it-on night (bring 3 records to play) it's great hang out spot, day or night.

Fantastic vinyl selection and really knowledgeable staff who helped me pick out some new bands. Nice community feel to it, will definitely revisit!

Soul Night once a month. Dancing till 2am to top tunes. It's a small venue so gets very hot. Limited capacity. Cheap entrance. Cheap drinks. Good tunes. Friendly and a great local asset.

great store, filled with loads of second hand books and records. A hidden gem to be honest- knowledgeable and warm staff and great selections. Haven't tried the cafe aspect but I'm sure it's nice.

Small but lovely. I am here to the sound of live music but I am not inside because it is so small.
I never saw this evening's show properly advised and todays event is not on the website.
This woman (who ever you may be) has a beautiful voice and I am so sorry that I missed your show.
Advertising not so good.

Best second hand record shop in South London. Its a bar (yes that means beer in hand whilst you shop) and coffee shop full of Vinyl and books both specialist and mainstream in both media's and a venue, even can be described as a community hub. It has live music sometimes but also puts on some killer DJ nights and the place is cleared of the racks of vinyl and then packed full of happy friendly people dancing their socks off. The owner is a super cool, friendly and approachable guy only happy to help.
Uniquely in the corner is a live Radio station WNBC London, it's not uncommon to see a famous face broadcasting live when you visit on a Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. 100% worth a visit even to grab a great coffee and soak in some nostalgia of the vinyl, the owner Mike says he's happy when people come in to just look for nostalgic reasons. Located in an old pub about 3 mins walk from West Norwood main line rail station with fast links to London Victoria. You got to vist and experience.

Yes indeed!! One to revisit. With no purse and no cards absolutely nothing because everywhere you turn there are delights!! Be warned...you will spend happy moments in this bar - whether you buy or not!! Great service and atmosphere. Well done guys!!

Mike is great, knows his stuff! Plenty of records and books as you'd expect. They regularly have live DJs playing and the odd live band. Worth a visit!

A most excellent shop.
Was up from Devon, staying near by. Decided to go digging, I wasn’t disappointed. Friendly warm welcoming atmosphere in the shop. Walked out with a bag full of vinyl. One happy chap

Best record shop in South London

Here you're more likely to find a genuine obscurity or the unfamiliar and at a reasonable price. The 'usual' music genres, fair depth of stock (noticeably in Psych & Prog), with a high incidence of 'clean' items. Spacious and informal with a relaxed vibe. Hosts events, radio and guest DJs, serves coffee and licensed. A top-notch music destination and a hang-out to boot. Definitely worth the schlep, for sure.

Monthly night club punches well above its weight. Cheap bar, great music and mixed crowd. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the DJs could be more consistent.

Love it, great selection of old and new vinyl, some CDs, lots of interesting 7-inches. Loads of books too... oh and coffee.

Was looking for a particular 60's album on vinyl as a Christmas gift, Michael the owner quickly found one in stock for me, put aside and invited me to collect it at my leisure. Excellent !
