John did a stellar job setting up my PRS and fixing the neck angle, transforming it into a guitar that plays even better than it did when it was brand new. I would highly recommend John’s services to any guitarist looking to get the most out of their instrument.

John setup my 4 string Sire bass and plays lovely now! I also took in a Jackson with flloyd rose, intially thinking this would be a another setup but John took a quick look and sorted that on the spot. Great guy, great prices and very honest. Wouldn't go to any other tech!!!

I knew from seeing John's 'cv' that he must be extremely good at what he does to get those gigs with that huge list of major artists. But even so I wasn't ready for the night and day difference he made to a decent quality ES-355 and a 35 year old frankenstein of a strat which I've had since I was 14. Neither guitar have ever played as well including on the day they were bought. Absolutely first class and really friendly too. The couple of transparent stitch up job reviews by no doubt competition or old enemies are absolutely laughable. Fantastic work - only reason it's 5 stars is cos I can't add a sixth.

Uncommon review incoming: The bridge of my acoustic guitar came loose and John was sadly not able to fix it. However, after working on the guitar for over a week, he helped me find the source of the issue and recommended another guitar repair shop to get it fixed, and despite the work that went into my instrument, he did not charge me. In the end he was very kind and professional about the whole situation so I see no reason for not recommending his shop

John is by far the best guitar tech I ever met - saying that for having met guitar techs in Athens, Paris, other places in the UK and L.A. He took care of my 12 year-old Ibanez. He dressed the frets, did a full set-up. The guitar is in better condition than even when it left the factory. What I love about John is how down on earth he is for someone who worked with Sir Paul McCartney and Dave Murray. He knows guitars! He is massively experienced and is reasonable with what he charges. Even if I was to move from Rotherhithe, I'd travel down Bermondsey just for John to setup my guitars!

The service I received here was amazing. After receiving a really foolish quote elsewhere I rang The Guitar Hospital up and I believe I spoke to John. I was surprised at how kind he was over the phone and when I brought my guitar in 1 hour later, he fixed it in less than 20mins and didn't charge a stupid price! Very very pleased with the work that John has done. There is a great deal of satisfaction that comes from employing a highly competent technician. My ratty old p-bass feels brand new. If you go anywhere else you'll be wasting your time.

Came in with a problem with tuning pegs and machine heads, and John sorted that and threw in new strings and a check up of all the electrics as well, all for a discount student rate, and in under a week. Great service, no complaints at all. Will definitely be coming back.
