Had a really interesting chat with David about my record collection and not only did he give me a good price, he also advised me on how to dispose of other items. It was lovely to meet him and a pleasure doing business with him. I can thoroughly recommend David to anyone else who is looking to downsize and clear album collections.

I sold Dave some of my 60s and 70s vinyl records. He came to my home and offered me a good, fair price.
I found him to be a really friendly, genuine and honest guy. The whole experience was a pleasure and we had some really good banter. I highly recommend him and The Little Record Shop.

Sold a lot of jazz CDs and reggae vinyl to David - it couldn't have been an easier or more pleasant experience. He offered me the price I had in my head anyway - very fair. We had a good chat about music too.Thouroughly recommend

A genuinely genuine guy. David went through our ecelctic vinyl collection, sorrted out what he wanted and made an offer well in excess of our expectations. He also gave useful advice on how to dispose of the remainder. He is friendly, open and honest. A genuine pleasure to sell our records to.

Don't normally post public reviews but make an exception with David and the Little Record Shop. He came round within half an hour of contacting and gave a fair price for around 150 LPs. I'm kind of shocked at how much vinyl costs. Particularly 80s and early 90s records that I thought weren't worth too much. But David gave a fair offer and I accepted. Would recommend.

Know joke, I have been looking for an honest record dealer for years, and I have finally found it in The Little Record Shop. David was friendly and genuine when it come to evaluating my collection. He gave me a price which I was very happy with and surprised. David is now my first port of call with it comes to Vinyl. Thanks again. Andre.

Would highly recommend Dave. He gives a personal service, great advice, and obviously loves his work and is very knowledgeable. A really find. Thanks Dave!! See you in Crouch End!!

The Little Record Shop in Crouch End is my favourite record shop in London by miles... There is always a superb selection of records. My tastes are for metal, classic rock, progressive rock and jazz rock and I always find something I want. Really superb selection... But also David, the proprietor, is super nice. He knows all his customers personally, and always makes conversation, and goes out of his way to give you a good discount, especially if you buy a few records together... Definitely the best in town... Head down there!

Truly wonderful! An amazing selection of vinyl, very fairly priced and in great condition. Store owner David is a true pro, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. There is nothing quite like an old vinyl LP and this place is testament to this, it's pure vinyl heaven! Definitely recommend.

What a great shop! David is super friendly and knowledgeable, and is clearly keen to get to know his clientele. Great guy with a great shop. I had my first visit today, and it will DEFINITELY not be my last.

I had David come to buy a large portion of my record collection. He was super friendly & polite and was wearing a mask. The whole process was socially distanced. He gave a really fair price for my records. Super pleased! Thank you!

David is a genuine and approachable guy, I felt I received a fair deal for my old vinyls. Very pleased overall.

Sadly due to some unforeseen circumstances had to sell my vinyl and David was absolutely amazing. I met him in a convenient location and he was in a car with a mask keeping distance. I passed him my vinyl records through the window and as soon as he had look he transfered me the money and the deal was done. He gave me way better price than anyone else as well! Also was extremely friendly and was following COVID rules. When I get back to vinyls again I will definitely come back and buy some vinyls from him. Highly recommended!!!

I have just sold my record collection to David. It was very much a mixed bag with some in great condition and some in very poor condition. As I live in the North of England, it wasn't very convenient to visit the shop, so David and I agreed to meet at a mutually convenient place and time. David had originally given me an estimated value of my collection based on my description but obviously dependent on inspection. After we met up, he briefly inspected the records and doubled his original offer which I was happy to accept. I found David to be a likeable and trustworthy person and I would not hesitate to deal with him again.

Meet David recently and was very informative and helpful! Sold him a selection of records and was very happy with the return !!
Definitely recommend!!!!!

David many thanks for buying my Vinyl records today. Excellent service recommended.

David is super friendly and genuine - He offered me a very fair price for my records and was a pleasure to do business with. Support your local record shop!
All the best

Couldn't recommend David and his shop any higher. David came and offered advice, bought some of my records and my turntables at a fair price, communication was great throughout - David is clearly a man of his word.

David, the owner, is a genuinely good guy. Passionate about his music and his business. He's probably the only person I felt happy selling my much loved vinyl to. He gave me a decent price and was great to deal with.
Highly recommended.

David came to view my vinyl collection last week, i found David really easy to deal with. His subject knowledge was second to none and gave me a more than fair price. i would happily deal with David again in an instant in fact i would not go anywhere else. the service i received was exemplary

I've sold records before and felt a bit flat, yesterday I sold to The Little Record Shop and felt spot-on. This is thanks to David (and many thanks for visiting the house). 5 out of 5.

David was great and transparent with buying my late gran's old hindi vinyls and cassettes - bought them fair price too! Also gave great advice for the remaining records I had on how to market and sell them. Friendly, fast, honest and professional service - would defo recommend to anyone wanting to make decent cash for their dusty records!! Thanks, Aaisha

Quite simply one of the best record shops in the whole UK. You never know what you're going to find. I have a niche interest in South Asian/Bhangra music, and I've got some SUPER rare stuff in here for a fraction of the discogs/ebay ripoff merchants. All the rock and jazz classics are in stock, with some unusual Hip Hop and 00's Indie finds to be had too. A welcoming treasure trove with none of the stuffy unwelcoming nature that often accompanies similar establishments. 6 stars

Rang David this morning and he came early this afternoon to go through a vast Punk record collection that I was looking to sell. I had a "ball park" figure in mind that I didn't want to go below but David's offer was far in excess of this, with no haggling at all. Overall I found David to be an open and honest dealer, nothing like I was expecting. He made the whole process painless and his generous offer was much appreciated. I can only recommend contacting David for anyone wanting to sell their collection but worried about haggling or getting ripped off. You WILL be pleasantly surprised!

My Dad asked me to look into selling his record collection....thankfully I found Dave!
After some very prompt and friendly communication Dave came to have a look, inviting strangers into your parents home isn’t always the most comfortable of situations but Dave was wonderful, he was very personable and made us feel at ease, he chatted with my Dad and complimented him on his collection and then proceeded to make a very fair and generous offer on the lot. Dad was more than happy to sell to Dave and enjoyed the whole experience...even chose to sell him Grandads old record deck too, Thanks again : ) - Suzie Linda

My first visit today and it won’t be my last! Superb selection of all genres and David was a great guy to deal with. Records I bought were in top condition and priced very favourably compared to E-bay or Discogs sellers.

After a spring decluttering, I sold my old vinyl collection to David . He gave me a fair price and is very knowledgeable, although I did have some records by artists that even he had not heard of!! He also had some very amusing stories to tell, and made the selling process very easy. I have not visited the shop, but I’m sure that it must be full of some interesting stuff.

This record shop is one in a million. As lovers of classic '60s rock n' roll, garage, psych, surf, soul, twist... we felt we were digging through a treasure chest. The Little Record Shop is the most fairly priced vintage record shop we've ever been to. David prices the record according to what it is worth (condition, pressing, availability) - not according to that which some vendors think they can overcharge a costumer for. Be sure to check the £5 bin - it's full of incredible finds, unlike what you'd expect from a cheap bin. Finest record shop out there.

Just had great experience with David on selling some LPs and 7in singles. Great communicator, very friendly, good advice and prompt response to queries. On top of that a very fair deal. Very happy to recommend.
G. A.
Just visited for the first time to sell a bunch of LPs. Dave, the owner, was very friendly both on the phone beforehand and in person, and negotiated a fair prices for the records. More than I expected! The shop is a gold mine of vinyl wonders. Go take a look!

I contacted David as I had an old record collection of classic Bollywood and English music. David came round to view the records and was very honest in what he was looking for and made me a generous offer on what he wanted. Very prompt with his timing and kept me updated on the day.

One of the top record shops in the whole wide world if you're looking into Classic Rock and believe me, I've been to more than a few. Like the very best shops, it's chaotic and it will take (much of) your time, but it will be worth it in the end. as it feels like you're going through a treasure chest. Nothing like that feeling of discovering that rarity you didn't even know you wanted but now you know you must have. David is also the friendliest record seller ever (with a pinch of Ricky Gervais humour), so all in all, this place is a must visit.

Over the last year I have been attending The Little Record Shop every weekend without fail.
The shop is owned and run by a real “Gent” (David) who is always attentive to your needs, remembers your name and obviously loves his “calling”.
He cherishes his customers and will often hunt out records subject to your particular needs also recommending artists he thinks you’ll find interesting.
The shop is small, about 20ft x 8ft, always busy, but the shelves are a “Diggers Delight” with thousands and thousands of Lp’s 12” and 7” vinyl - there are always gems to be found, with records that you don’t see often and are favourably and competitively priced, as opposed to Flashback Records who are expensive and often have less choice.
I have never bought a dud from this shop, all records are clean and play perfectly.
There is a “Bargain Box” with records priced between £2 and £5 and usually contains a few gems worth 3 times as much as the stickered price.
I would recommend this shop to all (and have done).
From the curious buyer to the serious record collector ... there is something for everyone in this shop.
ENJOY!!!

There is an air of finesse and quality at this fine, *fine* record shop.
David does not muck about with the stock he buys and sells. The racks and boxes feel tailored to taste and there's zero flicking through trash to find the good stuff.
David himself is courteous and amicable. He makes every visit an experience and generally a conversational one, sometimes culminating in the whole shop engaging in vinyl related chit chat.
If you've got a spare afternoon, don't bore yourself burrowing through predictable racks and dodging eye contact at that record shop you normally go to. Get on the bus or your bike up to The Little Record Shop. Check it out! You won't leave empty handed.

A great selection of Rock vinyl which is my choice , and there’s also excellent, blues, reggae and soul vinyl too and a super friendly owner David too, what more could you want !

This is a little Record shop in Hornsey, North London, England full of 7 and 12 inch records that you will want to take home - so bring some cash. The owner David is always friendly ,helpful and very welcoming so the shop has a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended for vinyl junkies.

Super service! Insanely good inventory of impeccable used vinyl and AMAZING prices! When in London it’s a MUST visit. Trust me treat yourself. Good vibes only. This is a genuine review I am not a robot or friend or family.

Dave has a great shop! Coming from NYC where record shops are usually picked through to the bone, this one has real gems hiding out in those boxes. Really appreciate the help and steering to where the good beat stuff is in the shop. Will make it a must visit every time I am over there. Spinning my David Whitaker now!

Replied to my quote request to sell in bulk about 20 vinyls from my collection, (including experimental electronic, 80s Synth, noise, goth, NeoFolk, industrial) within just few hours, offering to pay for them a well reasonable amount, either in cash or bank transfer, and was at my door for collection and payment on the same day!And this excellent service was made even better by finding out upon his punctual arrival that David is a friendly, trusting vinyl lover with whom it was a pleasure to deal with...I'll have no doubt who to contact in future if I'll have to sell more of my collection, thanks for the great experience 👍🙂

I spoke with David over email to help with an enquiry. He was super friendly and helpful. It is an absolute shame I don't live closer to London as I would love to pay a visit. Highly recommended.

Probably the best record store I've been to, huge selection of Pink Floyd, Smiths, Beatles and loads of other bands/genres too. David is a top bloke as well who gives good deals and info on his records, will definitely be coming back!

First visit to this little treasure trove. Dave is friendly, knowledgeable and in no way pushy for a sale. The shop is packed with LPs and if the Jazz section with its variety and non run of the mill gems is any indication then there's lots to look out for
D. C.
Great record shop packed with brilliant second hand vinyl in good condition. The friendly and helpful owner offers really good prices for rare and hard to find 7", 12" and LP's. I always find some old reggae and soul tunes that I've never heard before. I'd highly recommend it for any record collector.
C. A.
Great atmosphere in a cosy shop and great customer service whilst browsing.
M. E.
very honest and fair pricing on my record collect. David also gave me great advice on selling my records.
j. b.
A tight squeeze for mostly used vinyl in the usual formulaic genres but loosely collated and dross-free. Reasonable volumes with condition mostly satisfactory but one needs to stretch, twist, crouch and onto knees to seek the curio, the elusive and exclusive or a bargain which are thin on the ground here.
Prices are 'optimistically' pitched at the higher spectrum end, but not unseemly.
The owner is engaging and witty.
Certainly worth a dig 'n dawdle.

Vinyl Paradiso, you go in, you don't want to leave!!!!
Dave is the Vinyl Guru that runs the shop...does not do eBay, so you get the best of the crop....I recommend a visit before you die.

Great place to sell my record collection. Nice price agreed and friendly chap David. Very pleased with the results. Actually ended up buying something too!

One of London's best kept secrets...
Rare records can often be found here, prices are often the best around. The room is stacked with records of every genre.
M. R.
Very good prices, rare and unusual records and the owner is really helpful and friendly. Best record shop ever I would recommend any one who is interested in buying records to come to this shop
A. S.
Cramped but very atmospheric and teeming with relevant stock (i.e.: lots of vinyls and a few CDs). Proprietor is human too, so don't be afraid to negotiate when buying or selling multiple items.
A. A.
Small but well stocked and knowledgeable. New and old. Listen and chat. Everything you want from a small record shop.
