Tom Woods is not only an expert in fine cellos and bows but he is honourable, charming and has real integrity. Over the years he has helped me to find a wonderful cello and a fine French bow, both of which I am delighted with. He always has an excellent selection and is unfailingly helpful, patient and committed to finding the right instrument for each player.

When one is in the business of buying a fine musical instrument it is so difficult to know where to turn. The myriad of questions that flood through one's mind can be bewildering and often a lot to do with trust. How do I know what I'm buying is what it says it is? Or if it's not what 'it' says it is, what do 'they' say it is? Is it 'that'? Not to mention the price...! I bought my James Tubbs cello bow from Tom Woods and am really happy with it. Having known Tom for a long time I know him to be a man of integrity. I also know that he goes to great lengths to verify the authenticity of all the instruments he sells. In navigating this mysterious world, I trust Tom implicitly and recommend him highly.
