Excellent tutor. Very patient and very encouraging. I've been having regular lessons for 10 years now. Richard has seen me through all grades of the drumsense programme but there's always something new to learn. The lessons are fun and informative. The studio set up in the practice room means it is easy to follow Richard's actions when he shows you how something needs to be played. Would thoroughly recommend Richard as a tutor and the drumsense programme as a great way to learn to play the drums.

Richard has taught me for several years now and has consistently been a great teacher. We've covered a range of different styles and genres. He has always been extremely patient, supportive and great at explaining each topic/lesson. Every lesson is fun and I learn a lot. Richard gave me drum lessons here in his purpose built home studio for several years, starting as a complete beginner. He gave me an absolutely brilliant foundation for drumming in a variety of genres and covered a lot of fundamental techniques. I would thoroughly recommend Richard - he is incredibly patient, and really catered to my needs. His studio is also brilliant, with teacher and student kits side by side, which is great for learning! I have since moved on to study a music degree focusing on drumming, which would not have been possible without Richard's guidance and teaching!

Richard taught my son for several years from around the age of 10 or 11 up to about 18. He coped brilliantly with teenage lethargy , and on many occasion changed the course of the lesson depending on my sons mood, and always encouraged him to keep going and not give up when it got a bit difficult. I would highly recommend him to anyone... My son is now studying music and tech at Liverpool uni, drums being his main instrument and passion.
