L. C.Very nice and approachable guy, excellent work doing a full setup, fret dress and installing some new tuners on my ESP. Got it all done within the time he estimated, and priced very reasonably. Will be going back for more work on other guitars and would recommend to anyone!
T. S.Eddie is a great guitar tech! Very reasonably priced, quick turnaround and great communication throughout. And that's not to speak of the quality of the work! He's done great setups and wiring jobs on my guitars and I'd happily recommend him to anyone.
A. K.Eddie has been looking after my guitars for many years. He’s always set them up and repaired them perfectly for me. Anything from basic set ups to full repair jobs. Recently he restored an old strat from my teenage years back to its former glory and it’s become one of my favourite guitars thanks to him. Would highly recommend!
F. H.Took in a guitar that's at best a bit of an oddity, at worst a banged up lump of wood from the 70's. Even during the pandemic Eddy was fantastic with his communication, could have pushed me for further work that would have been more costly, but gave honest advice instead of trying to make extra cash for himself. The work done was of such a high quality I can't recommend him higher than I already have.
P. O.I've given many of my guitars and basses to Eddie for setting up, fret-dressing and electrical work, and he always gives me amazing results. Just recently he did a superb job on my USA Fender Jazz! A true craftsman!

J. C.Eddie (The Riff Smith) is a great guitar teacher. Having never picked up a guitar previously he has patiently taken me from beginner, through my first chords, to playing some of my favourite riffs and playing along with some of my favourite tunes. He is endlessly patient, especially when I haven't been able to get round to the practice I promised. Eddie has some different music tastes to me, I'm not a fan of metal which is his preferred thing, but that doesn't matter - he can pick up a tune (any tune) in a matter of minutes and start teaching it almost straight away. I can't recommend his teaching style highly enough.
Eddie (The Riff Smith) is also a great guitar tech / luthier. He has rebuilt an old Strat for me, set-up a couple of acoustic guitars, (one for my 5 year old, which involved switching it from right to left handed play). He has also remodelled a Fender Jaguar that I bought (with complete wiring overhaul) in order to make it a personal version of the 'Johnny Marr' Jag that Johnny Marr plays. He researches things thoroughly and prices them fairly. I would definitely recommend his work to anyone.
H. G.Eddie clearly is an expert and manufactures some very high quality instruments as well as repairs and maintenance. My Mexican Fender strat was new but came with sharp fret ends and it also needed a fret dressing. Eddie also added a custom made bone nut which I wanted to improve the feel and playability. This has also improved the stratty sound too. Overall I'm delighted as the guitar is now elevated to a high end playability. Thanks again Eddie.
L. C.Eddie at the Riff Smith is a very talented and knowledgeable luthier who set my 5 string through-neck bass up to play wonderfully, and has done great work for my other musical friends too. Eddie also has a good social media presence, featuring some of his in-progress works, for us geeks who love a peek behind the scenes. I rate the Riff Smith really rather highly!
R. P.Really pleased with Eddie's work on my 2 electrics and acoustic guitar. Eddie managed to fix some complex issues with my floating bridge, and replaced a nut on my ibanez. He really knows his stuff and is a very friendly chap!
M. D.Eddie is a master at his craft. Very skilled at fixing and customising guitars of all types (electric, acoustic, bass etc.). And also builds guitars from scratch.
He did a great job setting up my SG, replacing worn out parts, fixing elecric issues i had with the old pick ups on my SG, and fixing some annoying fretbuzz. He also set up and fixed fretbuzz on a cheap unbranded electric bass i got and made it useable.
Also very good value for money, reasonably priced and when i didn't have much money he was able to think of a clever low cost work-around to help fix my fret Buzz when i couldn't afford a full fret dressing service.
He also has a loyalty card scheme, so will get discounts on work after having several jobs done.
And he is a very nice friendly guy :)

P. L.My bass took a tumble and sustained a substantial chip to the bottom of the fretboard to where it would give splinters if you ran your hand over it. Took it to Eddie and he did an amazing job, feels like nothing ever happened and you wouldn't be able to notice the fix if you weren't looking for it. Will be coming back if I have any issues again.
