Mark makes it easy and fun to learn the guitar. His feedback is always positive and constructive. I've had a month of lessons now and can play a verse that sounds relatively ok. Im really pleased with my experience and looking forward to playing song(s) by the campfire this summer.

Friendly and patient and truly listens to my questions! Love love love that I can sit at home, pick up my guitar and actually make a noise that resembles a tune now and all thanks to Mark! And last but not least, he makes one feel welcome and his team member in lessons as opposed to teaching at one!

I have been going to MK Guitar school for 1 year now, and can't fault it at all. Mark has been very friendly, knowledgeable and certainly knows his stuff. If I have had a bad day and just want to do something fun for the lesson, he's up for it, there is never any pressure to stick to a certain program. At 50 years old you don't want to go back to school and be told what to learn, you just want to learn to play the guitar and have fun. I can't recommend MK Guitar school enough. Mark is up for teaching you what you want to learn. I look forward to Monday afternoon lessons and can't wait to see what the next lesson holds. 5 Stars definitely.

My husband has been going to the MK Guitar School for a couple of weeks now and is loving it! Mark is such a genuine, relaxed guy who does everything he can to make you feel relaxed and learn at your own pace. My husband had only tinkered a little with a guitar before now, but he's been inspired to pick his guitar up every chance he gets. Mark's musical knowledge is amazing, as is his guitar playing and teaching. We honestly can't recommend learning from Mark enough! If you're reading this, you're thinking about doing it, so just do it, you won't regret it.

Mark at MK Guitar School makes the lessons fun and interesting. I am a beginner and not very confident but the lessons are structured to suit my capabilities and I was made to feel at ease from the very start. Mark has an infectious personality with a very relaxed approach to learning to play the guitar focussed on fun. It is clear that he is highly knowledgeable and adapts his teaching style to the needs of his student. My son had been playing for 5 years with a couple of grades under his belt, so after a check to confirm his ability and interests Mark suggested a plan of action which could be tweaked on a lesson by lesson basis. Mark encourages his students to play for fun concentrating on pieces, genres and styles that they have an interest in. My son continues to make progress but more importantly looks forward to his lessons to see what challenges Mark has next for him. I would highly recommend Mark.

Warm, engaging, talented, fun and motivating. That's exactly how I feel after a few meetings with Mark from MK guitar school. I half joke because in a short space of time the confidence Mark has given me, has me trying things I've thought/been told I'd never be able to. Great guy, great guitarist, easy to get along with and passionate about what he does. You don't need any more than that. Stock of guitars available for students is also wide ranging with an instrument to suit every size or shape of person, with an equally wide musical/tonal range.

Can thoroughly recommend. As someone who has never played a musical instrument in my 66 years, I was very nervous of starting but was made to feel welcome and relaxed immediately. Within a couple of lessons I was able to play a few basic chords and tunes. His teaching style is encouraging, effective and enjoyable. I am confident that Mark's experience and skills would help, not just beginners like me but also accomplished guitarists.

When I first met Mark I was a complete beginner with the guitar. From the very start Mark has an enthusiasm and passion for teaching the guitar that is contagious. After a couple of lessons I was able to play recognisable tunes, Mark gives me confidence that just makes me want to grab my guitar and play. Mark’s lessons are superb, engaging, adaptable and most of all fun. Scales and chords fun? You say, well......... yeah, bring them into Marks studio and you’re improvising solos, jamming like you’ve been playing for years. If you’re like me you may have thought about trying to learn guitar, give Mark a try you won’t be disappointed.

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * MK Guitar School is basically like jamming on guitar with a longtime friend! Mark not only knows his stuff but delivers it to you in most importantly, a fun way in what is effectively a guitar/memorabilia museum! As he stated to me on my first lesson, we can learn all root chords in one go over and over and over, or we can start playing songs and riffs learning as we go! This is the way he approaches every lesson focusing in on a skill but teaching it while you play a cool tune so it doesn’t feel like learning! If you want to learn to rock and do so in a chilled laid back environment with someone who manages to teach you without feeling like you are in a class, I can not recommend this school highly enough! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
