Visited yesterday for a couple of cables and a browse. This store has gone all out in protecting their customers and staff from Covid. Entry gained by ringing the bell and waiting to be let in. No mask no entry as it should be. All staff helping were wearing masks also. If you wanted to pick up and touch something wether that’s a guitar or and product they would give you a pair of disposable gloves to wear. This has to of been the most compliant store or shop I’ve been to during these weird times. Amazing effort and as always a great shopping experience. Wanna buy that tokai real bad 😁

Fabulous service from Andy today , after my son Sebastian , spent 2.5 hrs in store choosing his first electric guitar . Andy was extremely patient , very knowledgeable and helpful. We ended coming away with 2.Highly recommend , great to support a local independent business .

Incredible experience. Through recommendation I went here to get myself a guitar and amp and was very quickly blown away by the service received. The staff here are not only very friendly and welcoming, but extremely knowledgeable. With a quick five minute chat, what I wanted was identified, and I was set up to test about and play with the recommended guitar. After a time, I had all the specs explained to me and was soon off with my shiny new axe and an amp to match. The whole thing was a very positive, easy and friendly experience, and I've since spent the last five hours on-off playing what I bought here. I am beyond satisfied with everything regarding my venture here. In addition to this, every bit of precaution was taken in ensuring COVID safety was met. These guys are really awesome, and I highly recommend Rock Hard Music to anyone needing some kit or lessons.

As a complete beginner I phoned for advice and spoke to Ronnie who was extremely helpful and encouraging. I visited shop next day and got valuable unbiased advice on guitar and amp , even practicing!! Ronnie and the staff were brilliant and it was good old fashioned customer service . I got free lesson as well and never felt pressured or that I had to buy something . Totally recommend the guys to anyone -I will be back for anything I need in future

Just arrived home and plugged my guitar into the new Blackstar 'Super Fly' which I bought this afternoon from Rock Hard Music. It's awesome and exactly what I needed, a small lightweight battery powered busking/practice amp which they ordered specially for me and at a really great price ! Great staff, great shop, great service.

Incredibly helpful staff. I’ve been here about 5 times before I bought my guitar here and not once was I pressured into buying anything, but always given useful advice and information. Upon buying my guitar I was able to choose any guitar strap I liked from their selection, some worth over £30, and given free servicing. You can try out absolutely any guitar in the shop, electric or acoustic, new or used, and they have a great selection to choose from. Certainly the best guitar, if not music shop, in Bedfordshire.

I love rehearsing here. Superb studio, a great selection of amps for guitar and bass, plenty of sockets and leads, a good PA and speakers, and a pretty decent house kit too. Did I mention the staff? Terrific the lot of 'em. Covid safe too. 5 stars.

Really good experience. I had a guitar that was, shall we say, mostly of sentimental value that needed repair. All the staff were really friendly about it, the repair cost was lower than expected and was ready in a couple of days. Subsequently I have had other instruments repaired and same experience.

I've been to this shop several times. On each occasion, I have been treated fairly and honestly. The negative review that has been posted here (advising everyone to to PMT in Northampton is probably not the best advice. PMT are a chain, a good one but a chain. Rock Hard Music is not and as such, a more personal touch is offered. I don't normally write reviews but I felt on this occasion that it was worth it as I am about to visit the shop for a spare part. Hopefully, helping to fend off the shop's closure.

Popped into store today as a newbie as I have purchased a guitar elsewhere, not up to scratch so bought here for repair/advice. The guys at Rock Hard very helpful explained what was needed and I was pleased to leave with them to sort out. I must say that despite my total ignorance of the equipment I have, they did not make me feel like a plonker. Thanks guys looking forward to getting my guitar back and starting my journey into playing.

The guys at Rock Hard were very helpful when I went to them for a guitar service. Even though it had been longer than a year since I had bought my guitar from them (which they were also very helpful with), they still gave me a complimentary service. Ronnie in particular was very helpful in store whilst giving me advice on amps and I look forward to going back and picking one!

Two years ago as beginners, my friend and I went here looking for a guitar. We obviously weren’t experts and the staff there were welcoming and let us try out the guitars to find the right one (turned out to be an Epiphone Les Paul). He even gave us both a stack of special picks for free, which we still use (and cherish) today. No matter where we go, this will always be the best music store. Not only are they friendly but they don’t treat us like children (we were 17 and have had terrible experiences elsewhere). On the plus side again it’s also just a 20 minute walk from my house which means it’s great if I’m not looking to buy anything and just want to have a browse. They’re welcoming every time! 100% recommend Rock Hard, they know their stuff and they will treat you equally. There are young as well as older staff members who are all equally knowledgeable and approachable.

Having used the shop before for my daughter I decided that I'd give them a call during lockdown to get a new acoustic guitar. Due to social distancing I couldn't go into the store so Ronnie set up a video call, to show me my options. I picked the guitar, it got set up and delivered to my door, I even got a free lesson thrown in. I can fault the process it worked perfetly, it was the price of an online retailer with the experience, set up and relationship of a local store. If you want a guitar in MK, or local area, don't go online give the team at Rock Hard a call. I bet they can hook you up.

After trying similar local shops without any guitar based luck (selection of brands I found were very narrow) I chanced upon Rock Hard Music, a jewel of a shop found in a little industrial estate. The range of instruments was fantastic, loads of both big brands along with lesser known, but still fantastic, guitars. The service was first class; friendly, knowledgeable and easy going. Even if it is just for a complimentary cup of tea, you must visit this shop for a browse if you have any interest in guitar-based music.

My son and I have bought 4 guitars and an amp plus assorted goodies and have always found them to be welcoming and friendly. My son has cerebral palsy and they have given advice on what guitar would be better for this hands. Would recommend this shop above any other in mk and surrounding area. Bought a guitar from them on eBay. Yamaha SG 1820 Ive been coveting for ages but they're blummin' expensive brand new...they had a ex display (i.e. essentially brand new) model which I had for a third off. Couriered by UPS for £15 quickly and without problems. So a fantastic guitar for a great price. Highly recommended.

Bought my first acoustic guitar and had a fantastic experience. With no pressure and plenty of time to try out various guitars in terms of size/type Ronnie explained and helped to narrow down the choice. Josh played the guitars 'on the shortlist' when I was not sure which to buy and answered endless questions. Love the guitar I finally went for and can definitely recommend Rock Hard Music! I have spent the last 3 months looking for a specific Guitar......with no joy. I contacted several Major Guitar suppliers who all gave me the generic response with one exception, Ronnie from Rock Hard Music. Ronnie seriously understands the term Customer Service & spent a considerable amount of time helping me to get the right Guitar for the right price. He was so diligent that he even helped me to avoid buying a cheap fake. What can I say about this person that will correctly convey my personal feelings......THE GUY IS AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND. I would like to add that since he managed to obtain for me the right Guitar for the right price which was amazing. But his help & advce has not stopped there, he has since helped me again in finding yet another Rare Guitar. What would I have done without Ronnie? I would have purchased a cheap knock off and I would be a very angry person. Ronnie a mere Thank You is not enough for all your help, so I will continue to purchase items from him in an attempt to support him & his Business. Highly recommended for internet or walk in customers.
