J. A.If you haven't been to Ouseburn Valley, the finest area in this great City, go there. You will find two excellent pubs. One is the Cluny. Have a bite, have a pint, have a jive to a live and lively band or two. What is not to love?

M.Been recording at the Cluny for 5 years now, around 25 days per year, we've tried many studios, most of which have the same equipment and are roughly the same price but settled on the Cluny due to the unsurpassed experience of Tony the engineer, many studios have a decent engineer but if you're recording on a professional level then you need a real 'producer' and that comes as standard at the Cluny. Cannot speak highly enough of the results. As a full time pro band we've been more than happy with everything produced at the cluny.

Have been here for a few gigs over the years, in the small room off the back of the bar, and Cluny 2 (the “big” room), and every time it’s been great, intimate and a cracking experience.
Tonight’s gig (Vuur, 8th February 2018) was in the smaller venue next to the bar, with brilliant sound quality and excellent views for all.
Staff for the Cluny itself were brilliant, and I had a great chat with a couple of them about the beers they had on (Sour Beers are ace, FACT) and I even ended up buying a couple!
Didn’t have a chance to sample the food on this visit, but having had a couple of food visits before, I’ve no doubt it’s great.
The venue’s now an independent management-owned one too, and the care everyone puts into the running is clearly demonstrated in how much people keep coming back.
Can’t wait for my next visit, but anyone erring about going should just jump on it and get there!

P. B.One of the best little pubs for seeing live bands - especially as they're one of the few venues that do metal bands! The beer/ale choices are phenomenal. The decor is a little rough around the edges but it kind of adds to it's charm. The surrounding area is beautiful too.

C. W.A wide selection of drinks on offer and good food served pretty quickly, in an interesting setting. Staff were friendly and the facilities were reasonably well maintained. Frequently used as a music venue and seemed particularly busy when we visited. Slightly tricky to get to/from using the Metro, although buses might be easier if we'd have looked into them properly. Located very near the Victoria Tunnel tour office.

G. W.It can be expensive and yes, the room where gigs are held is small-ish but the atmosphere is great (depending on the artist, obviously) and it's a pretty good place to meet talented local musicians. The food menu is new and worth having a sample of.
It can get incredibly busy it gets during the warm summer nights...it's that popular for a reason. The surrounding area helps too; it's quite secluded and with plenty of outdoor grazing space that brings in people from surrounding bars. Check it out.

S. S.Backstreet live music bar but we called in for a quick tea time meal. Had a more interesting menu than norm with po boys and burger toppings like peanut butter and banana. Sat on a comfy old leather sofa and enjoyed the food. The venue is showing a little wear and tear but was nice enough. Staff were friendly and service was okay if a little laid back.

G. S.This is a brilliant music venue for smaller bands. It has quite limited capacity, but this means you can get close to the performers and even share a beer with them after! We saw Curse of Lono, who were great. The drinks are expensive in my opinion, but not more expensive than similar venues.

A. B.First time visit, and was well impressed! No frills n tassels but a great pub selling great drinks, (my fave was the Rooster ale) but we all drank copious amounts too! Just the place we needed to create a nice atmosphere for our group yesterday afternoon.
We all ordered food, my standard Nachos were delicious, oozing cheese!

e. t.Lovely pub with live bands performing most of the days. The interior space has kind of two floors. There is the bar on your right when you enter and then the dj space on the left at the end of this first space. As you walk up the stairs you discover another semi floor like a chill area. You can also sit outside. There are tables and wide open public space. The place has a nice vibe. It was kind of difficult to find it - we walked a lot to get there but it worried it.
