John was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. A trouble-free booking process followed by an amazing set on our wedding day. My wife is Scottish and had a large family presence which didn't deter John in any way. Our guests actually …

John was absolutely incredible. We booked him last minute after our original piper cancelled last minute, three days before our wedding. He could not have been more helpful. His song choices were perfect, he looked so smart and all of my Scottish family said it brought a touch of Scotland to our Somerset wedding! I cannot recommend him enough. Professional, friendly, funny and helpful. Would encourage anyone to book.

“I came across John Campbell’s - Bagpiper of South Wales link by pure chance. I’m positive it was on a wedding site with a link to him. My late dad being born and raised in Edinburgh, I knew would have approved this, as it was to be a complete surprise for my bride Hayley. John was great at the outset in contacting him. He came back to me so quickly and was able to direct me to his website, which had lots of YouTube links to events he’s joined people at. This made it very straight forward, might I add with his steady reassuring guidance along the way. I was able to plan perfectly both the tunes I wanted him to play and establish how he would fit in at key times in the day. John was as I mentioned a complete surprise for my bride and her father. When the wedding car arrived at the wedding ceremony venue he piped "The Bridal March". I could just make out my bride's reaction from where I was standing waiting for her to join me. It was lovely seeing the occasion and her and her dads faces. John pipped them on in to the ceremony room where we were getting married at The Trefloyne Manor in Penally, just outside Tenby in Pembrokeshire. Everyone’s reaction was so lovely! John was accompanied by his kind wife to assist with arrangements on the day and many of the wedding guests had their photos taken with John. They still message me now several weeks on to say how such a lovely surprise it was having a bagpiper attend our big day due to the Scottish connections. Further and for me such a poignant moment, John joined me and Hayley with a Scottish family friend, where we had our Wedding.Bands readings. A Celtic tradition and symbol of our marriage, made perfect with John piping "The Mull of Kintyre" in total private for only a few hand-picked people to join us on a small wee bridge with a brook running underneath it. We will always remember that moment. John was with us for a fair time on our special day, piping guests in to the Wedding Breakfast playing "The Gael (Last of the Mohicans Theme Tune)" before leaving, which was quite late that afternoon. I can’t thank John enough. I know my late dad would have been smiling down on us that day with his blessings”.

"I hired John to play his Pipes as a surprise at a 99th Birthday party. From the first contact to meeting John on the day he was very professional. He ensured he was aware of the requirements of the day and went through his intended repertoire incorporating tunes at my request. His playing is outstanding, and his interaction with the Birthday Girl was lovely, along with Louise who took some photos of the day, in all the experience was wonderful.
I highly recommend John as he really will enhance your special day."

"We hired John for our mother's funeral, he was very professional and helpful with our music choices, nothing was too much trouble. Guests at the funeral all commented how special the piper leading the hearse was and how it was a fitting tribute with a wonderful Scottish touch that mum would have been proud of. Thank you John for everything at such a sad time."

Would really recommend John Campbell and Louise....
We wanted to have the Bagpipes played for my mam as she was born in Scotland and Sadly due to Cancer she recently passed away...
I went online and done a lot of research...
We came across John and read all his reviews....
John is very professional.... He has shown my family and myself so much emphany... Very easy to talk to and helped us so much in deciding which songs we had chosen and where to place them... And readily made suggestions.... John also helped by playing a few cords over the phone to help us visualise the tunes we chose
