My son has been been taught by Andy since he was 7 years old and is still progressing. Andy has been enthusiastic and engaging, finding different ways to enjoy drumming while still moving him on technically. The occasional Zoom event with a ‘drumming guru’ has been a welcome highlight too, allowing my son to see the others being taught by Andy and find new sources of inspiration.
Andy has been great through COVID lockdowns and has done remote lessons where it was the only way to keep tuition going. He’s been extremely pragmatic and understanding of the pressures we have all been under.
All in all we think Andy is a great teacher and role model for his pupils. Hard working, fun, flexible and honest. He would be hard to beat (accidental pun).

I have been taught by Andy for a few years now and i can honestly say that he is one of the best drum teachers i have ever had. His relaxed approach makes you feel that you can succeed in what you do and it has motivated me to work harder to achieve my goal. Andy is a fantastic teacher and i have grown and developed so much in a short space of time. If you are considering having drum lessons then i would highly recommend Andy

Andy has been a great drum teacher for my son over the last several years (and more to follow, I'm sure!). Always teaching lessons with great knowledge and enthusiasm, pitching at the right level depending on current progress, and importantly for any good teacher: always listening, reflecting and adapting to get the best out of every lesson. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Andy to anyone looking to start, improve or excel at drumming.

Andy is an absolutely wonderful drum teacher, and also a super nice person (which is always helpful when you're spending half an hour to an hour in the same room as someone). Learning the drums has been a bit of a bucket-list dream of mine for a few years, and I'm grateful that I found Andy's website and started lessons with him -- it has been such an enjoyable journey so far. I highly recommend Andy as a teacher and also as a person!

Andy has been teaching my six year old son to play drums for just over a year. The progress he has made in that time is very impressive. Andy makes the lessons fun and informative. He pitches his instructions perfectly for my son who always comes out of the lesson excited to get on with practicing his new task for the week.
I would highly recommend Andy to anyone is thinking of learning drumming.

I have been having drum lessons with Andy for the past 4 years which shows how much I enjoy them! Lessons are done in an extremely relaxed environment where I choose the direction I want my lessons to go in. This allows me to work on what I want to improve which is great. Andy uses 2 acoustic drums kits which really comes into its own when he is demonstrating a new technique. Overall, I highly recommend him. :)

My son has been to Andy's drumming classes over a year. He is a brilliant, knowledgeable teacher. He makes learning fun. My son is very enthusiastic about attending his classes and he made a very good progress in drumming. I highly recommend Andy to anyone who is interested in learning drumming.

I have been having lessons with Andy for about a year and he's a brilliant teacher. He's really approachable, very knowledgeable, and will go out of his way to focus lessons on whatever you want to learn. I started lessons as an absolute beginner and he has been patient, incredibly encouraging and very supportive. I would recommend him to anyone; young or old, just beginning or looking to improve. He's also really funny and I always enjoy my lessons with him.

Great online lesson! I had my first 'online lesson' with Andy today (27/03/2020) using the Zoom app on my iPhone and I can 100% recommend the whole online lesson thing.
I kept an open mind as to how an online lesson would go, but in the event it was almost exactly the same as being in the room with him. In some ways it's even better as you get to sit at your own drum kit, which for me is a huge bonus. Likewise, Andy can easily zoom in to show you detailed techniques etc. as opposed to you craning you neck when in the same room. Last but not least, I saved an hours travelling time, so thumbs up all round.

I've always wanted to play the drums as a kid, but for some reason I kept putting it off. My wife bought me some drum lessons from Andy for my 50th birthday. I have been going for lessons now for a year.
Andy is a brilliant instructor and a very patient one (you need to hear my drumming). Just goes to show that you are never to old to try anything. I would and have recommended Andy to my family and friends.
Go on. Give it a go.
