M. T.Well laid out store covering a wider range of media and merchandise than HMV has done historically - e.g.manga/animal. Some retro gaming machines as well. Plenty to explore in a more enjoyable way than online searches fir similar.
E. E.I love it here there’s so many cool things that are quite hard to find anywhere else. There’s anime merch, stranger things, vocaloid, and a bunch of other popular things. It’s a shame that some of the things there are quite pricey but i guess you can’t really change that, overall it’s a very friendly and welcoming environment so i really recommend this shop :)
A. N.Good variety of media stock with knowledgeable and friendly colleagues. There are also opportunities for live music and/or signing opportunities, so this is a place to feel comfortable buying whatever floats your boat regarding your media tastes, including music, anime/manga, or just cinema in general.

G.HMV has reinvented itself as a merch shop rather than just the music and dvd shop of old. I visited the Newbury branch to buy some vinyl and got chatting with one of the assistants who shared that the Oxford branch stocked arcade machines, so whilst I was in Oxford recently I popped in to take a look.
Sure enough they had 4 different midi sized arcade cabinets in store, some which were multi game. They also had a selection of character models from films such as Alien and The Thing, as well as the same selection of music, dvds, vinyl. I'll definitely be going back.
A. C.A great variety of items, including k-pop albums. Although the products are a little expensive, I did enjoy shopping there.

M. E. J.The best HMV I have ever been! It’s a very big store with a huge range of products. A big portion of it is for pop culture merch now and I personally love it. I especially like the anime stuff they have. The only downside is how expensive their products can be. The shirts I feel are overpriced for what they are. But, I definitely recommend the shop to anyone who likes pop culture and media.
