So hmv returns to Oxford and has now morphed into primarily a pop culture shop with music as a side business judging by this branch. The entire ground floor is dominated with t shirts, tops, shorts, toys, and merchandise that ties in japanese culture, video games, popular TV, and movies. There's an assortment of American sweets and snacks, a large assortment of Japanese ramune, which is pretty expensive but the real deal. I guess this stuff is popular as the branch was busy, and the stuff seemed popular. Certainly this stuff is not your normal high street stuff, the 1st floor is the music floor for the traditionalists. They also sell dvds, and other more normal hmv stuff too. Worth checking out as the place is different.
