Our band spent the day with Chris at Backlands recording our next single. The experience made what was quite honestly the best day we’ve had as a band yet. The equipment, environment and hospitality is absolutely second to none. But, above all, Chris’ knowledge and ability as a producer to get the best out of us as a band was incredible. We all walked away with beaming smiles on our faces and could’ve spent a week there! Nothing was too much trouble and the prep Chris did beforehand was tailored and individualised to specifically suit us.

I was lucky enough to record a couple of songs here with my band. The setting is comfortable and I was put at ease straight away (I always get a bit nervy). Chris knows what he’s doing and that definitely comes across, he’s prepared to help you record the way you want to. I was pleased that I could stay in the room with him and the desk, getting sound back through the monitors rather than wearing headphones. All in all it was a really positive session and the vibes were really good, no rushing!

Hi, we are Coup De Tete. We recorded our latest single with Chris. Without doubt the best studio experience we’ve ever had. All the other places we’ve ever recorded have done just that, recorded us. Chris produces you. He gets into what sound and feel you want and works towards that from the start. It’s a high end finish, far better than anything we’ve ever had before. Nestled in cottage grounds thiamine place instantly feels welcoming. The professionalism of the studio is incredible. Purpose built to maximise the sound of anyone recording there. I was fortunate enough to record 3 songs there laying down vocals and guitar with a great array of equipment provided. Chris is able to really capture the true sounds of the equipment and voice. High quality equipment and a depth of knowledge in sound engineering really helped me to get the most out of my performance and songs. I would recommend this to anyone looking to record and get a genuinely bespoke service by a studio that understands and loves music.

Phenomenal studio with everything you could need to create a complete masterpiece. Incredible sounding rooms, top drawer gear and the guy driving it all produces outstanding results. And it’s not just about getting in and recording, it’s the complete production package. Whether you’re a band or a solo artist, it’s all catered for to the finest detail. I would t go anywhere else.
