I highly recommend Gary as a piano teacher. Very professional, quick to respond, always punctual and fully devoted to his students. His lessons were the ultimate highlight of my week and something I always looked forward to. I loved his open and friendly nature, as well as him being full of energy and always smiling. He was great at explaining and I found he broke things down really well to my level of understanding. Gary's passion for music made me come away from each lesson feeling really enthused, inspired. I loved that it was so easy to talk to him and ask him all my questions, doubts, etc. He was always there to help, support, advise and encourage. I have learnt so much from Gary and honestly can't recommend him highly enough. ♪♫♪♫

Gary is a fantastic piano teacher. I found out about the lessons through FB. My daughter has been doing piano lessons ever since. My decision to chose him over other piano teachers was based on many principles. 1. He’s very professional- The lessons are always on time and he is courteous. 2. He speaks my child’s language- Gary speaks in a way that my daughter understands. No matter how complex the music piece seems, somehow he patiently breaks it down to her. 3. He’s an enthusiastic and extremely experience musician/pianist- There are times he plays an additional piece of music for us. This has helped my daughter’s imagination as she often tries to freestyle to create her own masterpiece when we are at home. 4. Although he pushes her to do well, he also understands when she’s not up to it. He’ll therefore find a diversion that would get her confidence back up again. 5. The classes are fun. My daughter gets bored very quickly but somehow she manages to stay focus and happy throughout her lessons. 6. He assisted in not only recommending the piano for purchase but also was kind enough to help us set it up. This shows a lot about his character and the efforts he’s willing to put in for his students learning. I recommend Gary for piano lessons for any age. He’s a wonderful person and his passion for music shines through each music session.

As a complete beginner I have been learning with Gary since March of this year. His approach is really friendly and I feel as if I have already learnt so much. Gary is really adaptable and personalises what I want to learn / play rather than to just teaching to some random qualification that as an amateur I would never use. I also never feel pressured if I am struggling with a piece or have not had enough time to practice in between our sessions. It is also great to have a teach who is extremely enthusiastic about piano in general and being able to recommend lots of ideas for my home piano setup. I've known Gary for several years now and always thought he's a very talented musician. When I decided I wanted to learn to play the piano he was my obvious choice! I couldn't read music when I started but I'm now sight reading albeit slowly and am now playing some classical music. Gary has taught our daughter for a few years now with a great deal of patience and understanding. As a 17 year old Hannah doesn't want to do grades, she wants to learn how the piano can complement a career in singer/song writing. Gary is the perfect man for the job. He teaches Hannah how to play chords, transpose along with sight reading and playing pieces that move her. I would recommend Gary for whatever style of playing you want to achieve. Gary is supreme in teaching my kids how to play piano He knows how to get the best out of them and how to motivate them. He's very detailed in showing them the steps to learning and his methodology is frankly exceptional He's firm but fair and I find his way unique. He's funny too which is a bonus. Gary has been teaching my two children, aged 7 and 9 since September. We have found him to be very friendly and professional. He comes to the house, which is amazing for our busy family, and is always on time. My children are at different levels and respond to different teaching styles and as Gary has got to know them over the year he has adapted to each of them. They both get on with him well and there is often laughter coming from the lesson so he obviously makes it fun - but without letting them muck about. They both did exams in the spring and had good results - both coming out of the exam room smiling! Being able to pay monthly is an added bonus - rather than being hit with a big bill at the beginning of term. I would definitely recommend this teacher.

I have returned to playing the piano after a long break and I’m very lucky to have found Gary, he really is an excellent teacher. It’s good to be able to have lessons at home and I can also highly recommend the online tuition option he offers. This was a great solution when I temporarily moved out of the country, it worked perfectly on my iPad and still felt like we were in the same room.
