Barry absolutely loves his music and will search for your wants. He also has a remarkable memory. Back in January 2020 well before the Coronavirus lockdown I asked if he had a Randy & the Rainbows 45 and a Paris Sisters 45. Just prior to the second lockdown in November 2020 I visited again, he remembered me and produced the 2 45s. I was well impressed! Barry's prices are very reasonable and he loves to chat music. An absolute treasure trove of a shop.

Awesome selection of vinyl, this is a proper record shop and the best in Southampton. Will 100% be my go to when I fancy a new record!

Amazing, mainly vinyl record store, close to the heart of Southampton. I actually popped in to sell my, limited collection and was most impressed with the professional manner of Boo Hop Records owner. It was a true pleasure to do business and to reminisce over the past of record history. Great place if you are looking to buy. A visit is a must, for vinyl and CDs and DVDs too.

Fantastic record shop. Sold some old vinyl lps and singles for a good price, Barry the owner is a joy to do business with and a true gent. This is the best place to buy or sell records in Southampton without doubt.

I've been to Boo Hoo Records many times and it's no surprise how it's maintained staying open all these years while countless businesses along the same road have failed. You're certain of a great selection of old records at reasonable prices and a nice chat too from the owner. One of the only record shops left in Southampton (other than an underwhelming Oxfam Music), it's keeping a hobby (or obsession!) alive for many locals. If you have time and you don't mind the walk from the town centre, definitely pop in here and have a dig - you never know what you'll find!

A proper old school record shop! Great stock of pre-loved vinyl, CDs & other music related items. You'll find a friendly & helpful owner who really knows his stuff. If you're on the south coast looking for rare & collectable vinyl you need to go here. Highly recommended.

Boo Hoo is having trouble changing the hours they are open on the Google site. Please be aware they are shut Sun, Mon, Wed and Fri. Not open as ite states. They are open on Tues, Thurs, and Sat 10.30 till 3.30.
