P. P.So I had 3 guitars looked at by Steve just last week, Incredible work carried on my 30 year old ibanez, which had not been played in years. Found and Fixed an issue with my blade which was bugging me for ages, with a full service on each of these plus a 3rd ibanez JS. Quality of work and speed of turnaround is seriously impressive, kept me informed with updates throughout. Thank you and will be sending my next 2 over when your back off tour 🤘👍

C. M.I have just started playing or should I say, re learning Bass after a 35 year break. Absolutely loving every minute of the experience. I found a standard scale difficult to play with my tired Welder Fabricator hands, so I bought an Ibanez Mikro. Much easier, but from new needed to be set up properly. Luckily, I came across Steve on a Google search. I'm very happy to say that the set up he carried out for me was outstanding in quality, cost and above all for me, turnaround speed. The highest recommendation possible from me.

A. G.I have used S.J Guitar Services twice over the last few months for both my guitar and bass and have been very happy with the services on both occasions.
I ordered a bass from an online store and the set up wasn't the greatest. There was a lot of fret buzz and i wasn't keen on the strings that were on there. I got in contact with Steve, discussed the issues with my bass and he answered all my questions and i took my bass to him and he was able to identify and fix exactly what was causing the issues i was having, fit some new strings on there and gave the bass a proper set up and its been playing like a dream ever since.
On my guitar i wanted some modifications done to spruce up a relatively cheap guitar. Steve changed the machine heads, tone/volume knobs, strings, pickup selector tip and the scratch plate. There was an issue with the size of the scratch plate but Steve contacted me and explained how he could manage to work around this and i can't compliment him enough for how much better looking and sounding the guitar is.
My interactions with Steve via phone calls and texts have been easy, friendly and professional. He was able to answer any queries i had and explained in detail what he'd done to my guitar and bass. I highly recommend him and will be going to him again in the future with my instruments.

m. l.I had an old mid 70's japanese Epiphone acoustic that needed some work doing. Sj Guitar services worked their magic and its now fantastic.
a bridge repair, a new bone saddle and a bit of tweaking here and there. Absolutely top notch job and i can highly recommend.

A. J.SJ did a set up on a bass I bought a while back. While it was a nice instrument it was always slightly hard work to play. The action didn't suit my taste, there was too much relief on the neck around the 5th to 10th frets. I had tinkered with it myself, but was never satisfied
Dropped it off with SJ, collected it next day, it was like a different instrument in a positive way of course. Plays like butter, and it was super squeeky clean, so lovely thing to take to band practice
