Doug Brady is the king of audio. Bought a SL-1210GR off these guys and it couldn't have gone any smoother. Bought on Sunday, dispatched Monday, DPD delivered Tuesday with even the box in perfect condition. Polite courtesy call to confirm order. DB will be my first port of call for all things audio from now on.

Delightful experience and probably the best I've ever had buying from a retailer online. I ordered speakers at lunchtime on Friday. I received a very polite call, which I missed, on Saturday morning (at a convenient time) saying that the speakers would be delivered, hopefully on Monday. I then received an email confirming the call. Thoughtful and thorough. When my kids shouted up the stairs on Sunday morning that there was a package delivery, I then had to admit to my wife to buying speakers a day earlier than expected. The service was amazing and I sit here listening to the amazing speakers I've just bought. Excellent service, brilliant products but..... be on your guard. If you're trying to come up with reasoned arguments to justify your purchase to someone else, accelerate those arguments. You may need them sooner than you think.

I spent a lot of time researching and can say Doug Brady’s website is the best - really nice design. Delivery was very fast at just two working days and I had a very pleasant courtesy call before they sent the system out. Great they use DPD and not a lesser company too. Finally, I have to mention the speaker cable they cut and prepared is beautifully done. The whole purchase process was 10/10

Visited this place to return an item which i'd ordered on line and turned out to have a defect. Miguel at the shop was extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with, the faulty item was replaced without any issues. Not only that but the shop itself is an excellent independent hi-fi store, i was really impressed at the set up and would consider buying audio kit from here in future. I had a little tour of the demo room on site and was also impressed at the choice of equipment available to purchase. All in all if you need expert advice when buying your sound system etc you would be wise to give this place a call, they are super friendly and everything is first class.

Wow ! What amazing service. Rang the shop on Wednesday and spoke to Steve who made the appointment for Friday. I arrived and spent over 2 hours in the demo room listening to couple of different Amps. John was the guy in the demo room and what a knowledgeable guy he was. I went in with what i thought i wanted and came out with something totally different. It pays to see your local dealer and not buy online. Have a listen to other equipment and take advice from the staff. I'm glad i did. A week on and my purchase sounds amazing (Audiolab 6000a Play, Audiolab CD Transporter and Dali Oberon 5 speakers) Thanks guys the demo room was an amazing experience.

Excellent, 5-star service. Miguel was very knowledgeable and put me at complete ease throughout the whole process. On my initial visit he helped me identify what equipment I would need and advised on some products to consider as well as answering all the odd questions I had. My following visit involved a complete demonstration including the ability to try out my own vinyl so we could narrow down my choice of equipment to find what sounded right for me. Being that it was the first time I was buying a turntable Miguel pointed out the key features and plenty of tips, putting everything across in a way I understood. I was made to feel welcome and relaxed the whole time. After settling on a turntable, amp, speakers and cables the sale process was easy. It was extremely helpful that I was shown how to set up the turntable. I had a small issue with the turntable, with the power supply ending up being faulty, but this was handled by the store both professionally and quickly. So I can safely say the after sales service is top notch as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from Doug Brady again. Excellent service with warm and friendly staff.

I don't normally write reviews but in this case I must. I bought my hifi from Doug Brady - a Rotel A11 tribute and B&W 607 S2 anniversary speakers. When I first got the items. I wasn't too happy with the sound. I thought there was an issue with the amp and contacted their customer services. They were really helpful and patient with me and did their utmost to help me check different things and see if there was an issue. They kindly replaced the amp for another one which was the same. I still thought the sound wasn't to my expectations. So they invited me to the store and I took my system down. We spent time together trying out different speakers and doing comparisons. It turned out that the speaker and phono cables i bought elsewhere were not that good quality (even though at first I thought they would be). They tested my system with some cables they recommended against the ones I had... and boy did it make a difference. I didn't think cables could have such an impact. They were also kind enough to let me upgrade my speakers from the 607s to the 606s. Went it came to payment I was having issues with my card payment (lloyds banking app was down) but again they were really patient and we worked something out so I could pay with PayPal. I think I was their worst customer lol. But they were really good with me. I mainly dealt with someone called Miguel from their team and he is a top class guy and very helpful. So thanks Miguel. Also shout out to the customer service support staff who were also very helpful and professional. I am really happy with my system now and its sounding amazing. Thanks guys.

I bought a pair of Bowers & Wilkins PX7 headphones from Doug Brady. I searched online for the best price & these guys were one of only a few selling the carbon edition at a reduced price. I paid online & my new cans arrived the following day via DPD, a couple of days before Christmas. Superb service & the delivery was free, so these guys get a well deserved 5 star rating from me.

Once again, superb service from John and the rest of the team. After demonstrations of a number of different amplifiers, then home demos of two shortlisted, I then made my purchase. Nothing is too much trouble and you never feel pressured. That's why the amp is my fourth purchase from the shop. It's a pleasurable experience buying from there, even if it is a process that lasts a few months (which it was in my case with speakers and amp). I did not feel rushed to make the purchase, and whatever your budget, that lack of pressure and good, honest and knowledgeable advice is so important when you're parting with hard-earned cash. Bought an entry level Rega record deck from Doug Brady Hifi some years ago and returned today for an upgrade. What a glorious thing it is to spend time in this shop. Was (again) properly looked after by John, who set up a system for me and left me with the pile of records I'd bought to put my potential deck through its paces. Called in after booking an appointment today 18/6 and ended up buying a new set of speakers. Steve is a true gent and will always go the extra mile for anyone, and did me a great deal. I wouldn't normally comment on the below but I was listening in between trying another set of speakers. Despite being appointment only, one of the reviewers below came in while I was in the demo room and even though he didn't have an appointment Steve and Miguel tried to help him out. Because they didn't have an immediate answer and where mulling over how best to help, this lunatic gets all high and mighty and stomps out of the shop! Then he leaves a negative review. Just goes to prove you can't do right no matter how hard you try for some people!!!

I was only making a small purchase but they couldn't have been more helpful - instead of a sales pitch, I was sold an item that was the right choice for me. Prices are fair, entirely competitive with online. But for this type of purchase, you're better off staying away from the internet and buying from an experienced bricks-and-mortar business, where sound advice and the opportunity to actually listen to product prior to purchase will save you in the long run. I will be going back for sure.

Sadly wasn't able to buy an item from Doug Brady HiFi due to national stock shortages. However I was highly impressed by the superb level of (pre)-customer service I received from them. I have been shopping for hifi for over 20 years. Doug Brady by far the best place to get all the equipment you need. I have bought all my gear from here. They have excellent staff to help and guide you in what you need. My equipment from doug brady is: Arcam AVR30. Monitor audio platinum II 200. Pioneer n70 ae streamer. Monitor audio gold 100 5th gen. Chord epic RCA. Marantz ruby KI CD player. QED Supremus speaker cable. Rega planar 6 turntable with Audio Technica AT-VM95SH/H cartridge and headshell. Chord rumour 2 speaker cable for surrounds speakers. I would NEVER spend that kind of money if the staff did care about customer needs, they listen to what you want and don’t pressure you, which makes buying easier. I have spent hours listening to different amplifiers and speakers to make sure I am getting what is right for me. The staff are excellent and very very highly recommended place to go to. If anyone gives a bad review its them not Doug Brady. Happy shopping 😁

Brilliant service from this team of hifi enthusiasts. Andrew expertly replaced my blown speaker drivers and magically improved the performance! I bought a cartridge for my turntable from "a.n.other" hifi supplier, who couldn't have been less helpful if they tried. I was having problems aligning the cartridge but was struggling to get it just right. I rang Doug Brady's (who I have shopped with a number of times before) and spoke to Andrew. Despite the fact that I hadn't bought the cartridge from them, Andrew spent a good 15 minutes on the phone explaining how I should accomplish the task. A wonderful example of great customer service. The moral of the story? I should have shopped with Doug Brady's in the first instance! I would also add, it's always been a pleasure to go to their shop. Friendly, helpful staff who treat you like a friend rather than just another customer.

I can't recommend Doug Brady Hi-Fi enough. Very knowledgeable, helpful staff. I bought my set up 27yrs ago from there, (wow time flys). I got a cd player, amp & speakers. I told them how much I had to spend (a modest £700). I sat down in their 'living room', (that gives a home from home feel, and an honest sound from the equipment). They brought in separate players, amps, speakers, & mixed them around until I had the 'right' sound that I liked. No pressure, I was just left to listen to my handful of Cd's i took in, until I was happy with the set up. I still have the same set up to this very day, that still works with no problems and the sound quality is as good as the day i bought it. I have a Rotel cd player, Arcam amp and Mission speakers. If you're serious about music, book yourself an appointment. Enjoy 👍
