Loved it. Well laid out shop, clean, clear labelling on the records which were fairly priced. A seriously great section of vinyl, friendly, welcoming manager. Well worth a trip to. Rock, pop, soul,folk, world, soundtracks.. I'll be back for more.

Happened to be working in Watford and had some time. Decided to visit Second Scene as it had been recommended. The shop is full ( I mean full) of records. This is not the shop for clutterphobes. It does have a very good new in section which suggests a good turnover. Good rarities on the walls.Prices are average. Had a lovely chat with owner and left with a penguin cafe orchestra and sylvers album £20 the pair. Will be visiting again. 20 mins back to London

I have been regularly travelling from the South coast to second scene for my vinyl fix - that's how much I rate it! Absolutely wonderful record shop with fantastic stock and superbly priced records. The owner is friendly and v knowledgeable and the odd cuppa is not unheard of. Easily my favourite record shop and well worth a visit

My favourite record store. Phenomenal selection of records and a real treasure trove. The owner has a wealth of knowledge all things music, particularly vinyl and regularly suggests music that I would not normally have had thought of. Once you visit, you'll become a regular. Highly recommended.

Quite simply a hidden gem. Julian who runs the shop is everything you would want from a record shop owner - polite, informative, knowledgeable. He's hunted down obscure records for me before and on a good day you get a nice hot cup of coffee which makes the experience of looking through racks of records even more enjoyable. First rate - hope it stays there for a very long time!

Limited space constrains the volume of mostly second-hand vinyl displayed at a given time, albeit only a fraction of the total inventory here. An impressive array of 'perennial favourites' amongst the commonplace, also the odd elusive or sublime item and pricing that won't reduce you to tears. A family business and they be relaxed, engaging and obliging. Puts Watford back on the map. Check it out.
