Really well stocked, laid out well. If you're visiting York it's worth the 10 mins out of the city on public transport or taxi. Lots of rare and hard to come by vinyl as well as the latest releases. Will try and visit again one day. Owner really kind and directed us to the best bus stop to use to get back. :)

Stopped off when passing York - 2 minutes off the A64. Shopped manned by Eddie (behind the counter) and his mate. They need a new shop as only a third of their stock is on display. Nice mix of new and used vinyl so was able to look at various options to buy. They were able to direct me to where I would find my targets (The Fall, Wire, Stranglers, Massive Attack, REM, Miles Davis, Wedding P etc) as new and used separated but Indie, New Wave, Punk are separated and I found my purchase (XTC White Music vinyl VG+ VG+ £20) in "80's". Could spend much longer there. Star knocked off as no negotiation on steep(ish) prices when buying more than 1 album, and the overstacked boxes, but nearly a 5*.

This visit was for Record Store Day (2021), so as expected, long queues before the store opened. The queue was shortened quickly as the staff were well organised in managing the customers and sales. Another successful event by Vinyl Eddie.

Vinyl only shop with reasonable selection of sixties thru nineties vintage and some modern reissue LP 's. Also large selection of replacement stylii. Whether this is a treasury of recorded gems or a nightmare recreation of student study bedrooms of your era depends on you.

Really great record shop on the outskirts of York. Worth making a bespoke trip for. I bought a couple of New Order records I've been on the hunt for for a while and the chap was really helpful and friendly. Perfect kind of store, small but stacked to the rafters with gems.

Went in for a look and to see came out with 2 LP's. Great little shop, excellent collection of stock and great customer service. A little pricier than normal but you're paying for what you get. Some really rare and special treats in here. The 90's vinyl section is outstanding.

A real suprise find. Gentleman who works there will find records you are after on a heart beat, and what a collection it is! I got there 2 records I was looking for, for a while (I don't count online, that is too easy). Prices are fair, but the selection is superb!

Best record shop in York. Visited all over a few days and this is the one to check out. You'll need plenty of time, tonnes to go at. Plenty of bargains, multiple genres. Recommended. I'll be back!

Visited for Record Store Day 2018. From the front, the place looks tiny but the number of records for sale was huge. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. I went for 2 records and came out with 8!

If you’re somebody like me, this is a great shop for secondhand 60s/70s prog, rock & pop. Extensive range of stock, but prices are towards the top end of market values. The guys running the place are friendly and chatty.
