First time experience at this theatre and we can't wait to go back! No massive queues to get in and the staff were really friendly. Seating was easily accessible and had accessible toilets very nearby too. Seating was comfortable and perfect for a great view of the summer panto. Would highly recommend visitors to go here for a show as it's a lovely venue that gets you up and close to the acts. Looking forward to our next show.
G. W.
Me and my wife were in for the first time since it reopened and was amazed at how fantastic the place is looking. We were in the Upper Stalls and had a great view. The seats were comfy. The sound quality was really good as well. All the staff we spoke to were really friendly and seemed interested to be there. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.
F. M.
Absolutely beautiful theatre and will return for sure, the act we saw were amazing and worth every penny. Apparently my wife's mother used to go there and said it was a terrific theatre long ago. It's had a refurbishment and boy have they done a great job, we had a great evening thanks very much.
D. O.
Lovely theatre full of character, was a great night out
G. R.
Fantastic building, super friendly people working there.
Highly recommended.
J. K.
Saw David O'Doherty here during Aberdeen Comedy Festival.
First time visitor, but I was really impressed with the facilities.
It's a very cozy theatre with lots of charm. Staff were awesome.
N. M.
Fantastic time has at Tivoli watching 'Free again'. I have difficulty walking and had front row seats. Great place
A. K.
Absolute gem of a venue. Seen a few acts here and it always feels very intimate. Love the place. 😍
D. G.
A lovely old style theatre with friendly staff and comfy seats. A great show for the kids
B. M. C.
Went to see The UK Pink Floyd Experience. Even at roof height the seats were comfortable enough for a 2 hour show. Be ready to climb stairs though if your higher up. For night time shows park at Union Sq car park was only 1.50 for 3 hours
K. T.
Fairly recently refurbished Victorian theatre. Within the constraints implicit in this, I would say that I was impressed. I had a good view on the stage, comfortable seating, although some seats may have a restricted view, however I felt that the sound system was poor, and given it was a performance by a comedian, my enjoyment of the event was somewhat diminished.
J. W.
First time ever in the Tivoli Theatre, and I liked it
C. B.
Comfortable seating. Stalls and circles. Drama. Musicals and comedy performed here. Went to see high school musical starring 8 to 18 year olds tonight. Had 4 nights of standing ovations. Very well choreographed and actors were outstanding.
A. B.
I always enjoy attending events in the Tivoli Theatre Aberdeen. The building has been restored beautifully. The winding stairways are a wonderful feature; alongside the narrow passages leading to the Dress Circle Bar and the old machinery downstairs.
S. K.
Lovely old theatre and it seems to be constantly improving since reopening. Staff are helpful and friendly. Lots of leg room in seats too. Be aware there are quite a few steps if you're taking an elderly relative so give yourself extra time.
A. M.
Very impressive venue. It's like time travel.
Had a blast watching WRAY's comedy show.
P. C.
Such a lovely theatre and so glad it's open for all
We went for a Saturday morning showing of Fireman Sam. Seating was great 3 rows back in the upper circle....until someone sat in front of us. Lol.
The sound was awful - it seemed like a recording that the actors were acting to and was really muffled. The children didn't know the words to the Non Fireman Sam songs (so odd that no Fireman Sam songs were sung) and you couldn't hear the words to copy them
K. M.
Another enjoyable evening spent at this lovely theatre. Great staff, fabulous show and such a nice atmosphere. Can't wait for our next visit. ❤️
S. M.
Great night out. Intimate theatre in the heart of Aberdeen. Great asset for the city. Worth going too as they have lots of shows to offer and is good value
I. T.
I don't support this place often enough. Lovely old theatre great acoustics and plenty.of leg room for tall people.
C. N.
This is a really nice theater Hall located very centrally right across the street from Union Square.
There's a good view also if you're on the balcony, and my specific recommendation is to check the bar at the bottom floor (underground). First, because you can buy alcohol and bring it into the theater. Second, because it has these old and big and really nicely preserved editing and filming machines. After the show it's great to go across the street to Union Square Mall if it's still open.
C. D. R.
Awesome historical theatre, fantastic staff and friendly stage crew! Very helpful too! My get out was a struggle and couldn't of done it without them!
R. N.
good seats great view but still needs some decor improvement.
A. A.
Went to see the UK Pink Floyd. The theatre is stunning, however, be warned, if you do get tickets in the balcony, it is very high, and the stairs are not for anyone who has a problem walking up stairs. The view is excellent. The sound was great for the first 2 songs then the drums were turned up way too loud. The band were superb, but, as I have seen both incarnations of the Floyd for real the guitar sound and vocals did let it down slightly, great guitarist, but David Gilmour is all about feel, and if you don't have that, it will suffer.
J. M.
Second visit of the year. I like the Tivoli as a venue, true its smaller than His Majesty's, but the seating is so much nicer, better leg room and a lovely informal atmosphere. Doesn't seem to matter where you sit there is a great view of the seats and the gradiant of seating means that the person in front rarely blocks the view of the stage.
R. N.
great old theatre revived important to support great gig brought back our youth
J. r.
Beautiful place staff very good first time in it since it was a big hall
I. G.
Excellent place and a great atmosphere. Loved ELO Again, Ruth's voice was amazing.
A. M.
Went to see UK Pink Floyd a few weeks back. The door staff were welcoming, and the acoustics within the theatre were great! Definitely recommend getting a balcony seat if you are going to hear a music performance 👌
B. W.
Went to see the cast of Still Game. Great. Plus I love the Tivoli.
V. F.
Visited here for a pantomime and I liked it. It's quite a small and compact theatre but designed in a way that there are several stairs to get to the various levels. The seats were comfortable and the toilets were clean. No issues at all.
M. C.
Beautiful small venue.
A. A.
A great local theatre 💖
T. H.
Just visited the Tivoli Theatre in Aberdeen again to see Just Beatles who are outstanding. As usual the staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly. It was wonderful to be back in this gem of a theatre again after the lockdowns. The staff ensured all safety restrictions were adhered too. Will certainly be back.
L. R.
First time at venue which is a very old theatre brought back to its old glory and is a great setting for concert.Only disappointment was low turnout in a day of snow for a great gig by the fantastic Springsteen tribute band 'Bootleg Boss' Keeping eyes open for other gigs at venue.
G. W.
Great place for a small concert, will definitely be going back, would highly recommend
A. S.
Great venue.Nice atmosphere and good facilities.
P. M.
Wonderful location. I had never been before and was delighted to see such a venue. It my be small but its packed with character.
D. G.
Had best night watching Elo again please get them back soon
b. “. y. c.
Went to see Robert plant with Saving Grace
Excellent concert
L. M.
Cannot thank the staff enough last night at the 80’s show for all the help they gave our friend , she needed wheelchair and help to get out and the staff went over and above with concern and care and five stars to them all. Absolutely amazing guys thank you all xxxxx
A. G.
Had never been inside this wee gem before. It was a hike up to the upper circle but the seats were very comfy, great leg room and a fab view of the stage.
k. m.
Went to see Rich Hall at the Tivoli Aberdeen, great show in a great venue.
D. H.
Great show but very drafty on Row D from door.
A. B.
The theatre has been sympathetically renovated and the acoustics are very good. Seat in the dress circle was comfortable and I did not suffer from a “numb bum” by the end of the performance!
I. M.
The show( Jack & the Beanstalk ) was very good , local and topical , with all the expected items for a panto. It is many years since I had a permanent booking in the Tivoli ( A7 Grand Circle) & I wasn't disappointed on my return .
N. R.
Small venue, but good acoustics.
T. T.
Lovely venue in the heart of Aberdeen. Just a short walk from the railway and bus stations. Friendly and welcoming staff.
L. B.
Tivoli theatre is a great wee theatre, we all wore face masks, had social distance. It had a sweetie n juice counter also selling kids favorite light up windmills n pointing fingers, what is a pantomime without them. Jack and the beanstalk doric style was just great well done to all the players they put on a really good performance," Oh yes they did" ps it's also got a bar for the adults so it was a win! win!
a. h.
As previously posted. This is an old theatre which has risen from the grave. It has a glorious interior and a nice atmosphere. The auditorium has been refurbished and is comfortable. The bar area is fine but like all theatres gets very busy with people who can't turn up early!
M. C.
Lovely theatre, enjoyed the British carpenters.
L. C.
Absolutely spot on. I love this little theatre. The staff are very helpful and the place has such character. I'm so glad it was revived. What a wee gem.
C. M.
It was fine buy the singer never really sang much of Neil diamond songs only the one at the end which he never said the who song either
T. C.
Incredible venue, definitely worth a visit regardless of the performance.
I. G.
Great venue for various acts.
G. a. G.
Great show, beautiful theatre.
Would book better seats next time. Balcony too high for me.
G. D.
Seen a Prince tribute act which was great. Had the crowd on their feet. Beautiful theatre.
k. d.
Good show in a comfortable environment.
S. P.
Nice theatre. Show was good. Staff handled drunk and abusive customers well. Just unfortunate that they had to..
L. B.
First time in The Tivoli in nearly 60 years!
Cant remember much about it then other than the opening act was a guy called Mal Hollander? IIRC.
Place looks like a mini version of His Majesty's Theatre. From( my fading) memory it looked the same back in the day.
S. C.
Nice theatre, friendly staff. Good amount of leg room which is nice. The layout of the stalls is such that you can find yourself looking through the person in front rather than over, but it is not a serious problem.
D. R.
A beautifully restored old theatre in the heart of Aberdeen near the Merchant Quarter. Not as grand as HMT, but full of character and a bit more intimate. A superb venue with friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit.
D. M.
My friend and I arrived 5 mins into the show and were seamlessly shown to the ladies then our seats. Very kind and courteous staff. The show, Carole, was 100% great entertainment. Huge recommend. SUGGESTION Can Tivoli publish approx end time of shows for country folk like me who get home on public transport? THANKYOU
A. X.
Great, small theatre, super atmosphere and wide range of performances. Tickets average price is £20/person, which is much cheaper compare to Majesty Theatre. Good sound quality and friendly stuff.
I. B.
Lovely theatre great show
A. S.
Beautifully presented theatre.
n. b.
Really enjoyed the show, staff were very helpful and facilities were good
G. V.
The Tiv' is a gem that really deserves support. Its an intimate welcoming space ideal for comedy, music and drama
F. R.
Great wee venue, not so commercial feeling
G. R.
Great venue. Get up close to the performance. No problem seeing or hearing. Toilets a bit cramped for s 500 audience. Looking forward to a music gig to make a comparison to the stand up show we saw.
T. G.
This theatre is awesome, was there to watch exodus presented by city of God church.
C. H.
This is my favourite place to go, love it everytime
P. C.
Tivoli is a beautiful place to take in a show.
S. o. A.
Fabulous theatre, gorgeous architecture and helpful staff
R. B.
Love the old style of the old building, my only issue is it's very cold, maybe having curtains covering the arches as you go to your seats, would not only block out the light that comes through but the drafts as well, but that's my only complaint, I love the intimacy
B. R.
Glad to see the old girl back to being a theater again the show was brilliant I'm going back for more good to see live. Shows again
K. M.
The band tribute was good and the venue is class. Wish they did more stuff here
F. D. (. T.
The Elvis show at the Tivoli Theatre was very entertaining and impressive. The evening was made complete by the outstanding service offered by the theatre staff who were all extremely pleasant, friendly and very helpful - congratulations to all concerned. Mike McLeod
M. K.
It's a' fine te be a little bitty
L. J.
Nice place cosy environment but not very spacious and not very suitable for wheelchair accessibility.
K. T.
Lovely place but bar is to small
S. F.
Excellent Elvis show. Great backing band and singers in a beautiful intimate theatre. Good bar staff as well. Superb evenings entertainment!
m. j.
Lovely little venue. Great addition to the Aberdeen art scene.
R. H.
The show was great but while it was ongoing the staff were slamming doors, moving sacks of rubbish about and having a natter, all of which was clearly audible in our section of the audience. Come on, Tivoli! Performers and paying punters deserve a bit more consideration.
S. L.
We just attended the 2014 pantomine, Sleeping Beauty, Aberdeen style. Held in the recently and sympathetically restored victorian Tivoli Theatre, we had a great evening out with our 7 and 3 year old children.
The show itself was fun, had a great mix of Aberdeen references and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone there on Saturday night. We had dinner at the mall before the show. Great family evening out.
I'm glad that the Tivoli has re-opened. Kudos to the companies that have supported it.
Use it or loose it.
S. T.
It's a nice theatre. Tired looking in the corridors. A small bar is available. Personally, I find the seats in the stalls incredibly uncomfortable which has put me off going back.
M. S.
Been here a few time, most recently to see the Pink Flyod experience. this place always feels like a hidden gem and i wish they got more mainstream shows here instead of the music hall or HMT, there is a real air of history about the place and its a treat to see anything here.
I. M.
Great, olde style venue where you can get a great view, wherever you are seated!
k. k.
My 2 daughters were recently in a panto here during the summer and the October holidays and all of the staff were very helpful and I also don't think there is a bad seat as I went to a few shows to see my girls and had a great view each time.
a. k.
Lovely wee theatre with a good performance of peter pan December 2018. Late in booking so were in upper dress circle, wouldn't recommend anything row w above in this section as the safety barrier blocks your view quite a bit
M. L.
Small and quaint theatre. Bar area a bit dated and can do with a new carpet and lick of paint
P. B.
Beautiful small theatre. Take time to look above you!
Seating not so comfortable, toilets very basic and difficult access for those less able.
L. C.
Very poor facilities for disabled - disappointed

My mum and friend attended the tivoli on sat 23 March and was overwhelmed by the friendliness of the staff. They went and got water and ice for her and generally looked after her. So high praise indeed from my mum and her friend.
M. W.
We had a great evening here at Alice in wonderland. I wouldn't sit in the front row of the dress circle again....there's just no leg room at all.
C. R.
