Reviews of Waterfront Hall

Fabulous, intimate venue for wonderful shows. Attended- Pops Series// I love the movies, Dirty Dancing in Concert, the Queen Extravaganza to name a few over the years. Excellent place to go for brilliant entertainment!
D. D.
Great venue in Belfast for concerts, plays or any kind of performance. Venue is modern and well laid out, as you would expect, and this allows for good acoustics. Plenty of parking nearby and only a short walk to the train/bus station at Lanyon Place.
C. D.
We went down to see the Comedian Paul Smith.
No complaints about the Waterfront.
They check for covid certification which is expected.
The bar before the event was seated and table service. I use a walking stick and although there was a queue they allowed me to head on in which was appreciated.
For the event itself although it was sold out there was quite a number of no shows which thankfully meant there was 3 seats either side of us which was good.. The guys behind us was dead on. Thumbs up 😂
This was the second time seeing Paul and he was hilarious😀
R. G.
Great venue, sound is first class, there ain't a bad seat in the house. However the queues at the intervals are pretty pathetic as the staff choose not to open all the mini bars or staff them all, meaning it's almost impossible to get something with the time you are given. That's a downside.
L. M.
Went to an Ulster orchestra concert Shaken not Stirred - music from James Bond movies. Absolutely fantastic. Waterfront staff very courteous and helpful. Great atmosphere.
A. B.
The Waterfront Hall is a lovely place.
More of an intimate venue rather than large arenas to watch all kinds of shows. Our show happened to be 'Lord of the Dance'
N. M.
Lovely place inside and out. Easy access and no seat has a bad view. Beautiful views of the city from the bars.
a. b.
The Waterfront Hall is small but really comfortable, every seat is really well placed to see the stage, the staff were wonderful and very friendly and efficient. We were there to see Lord of the Dance and it was a marvellous experience. Would highly recommend for a fantastic night out. The bar staff were like lighting with the drinks service, giving you plenty of time to get served and back to your seats. Very easy to get to and really close to the train station. Will definitely be looking for more shows.
S. T.
Love this place and all the events going on there.
Saturday and Sunday evening you can find a parking space around the streets and enjoy the time in the Hall.
T. G.
A really lovely pantomime, very funny with great actors and fabulous songs. Will definitely book for next year.
P. B.
Great venue! Staff are friendly and helpful. The shows are top class, especially when the Ulster Orchestra is present.
A. A.
Great venue for a show.parked nearby which was easily done online.well layed out seating in the auditorium and excellent bar facilities with views over the city
J. J.
Fantastic place to see live comedians or bands, very comfortable, airy and you don't feel like your packed in like sardines
M. M.
Entry to the venue even with the Covid Passport checks went smoothly. Watch out for the carpark charges by Apcoa. Always pay as you park rather than retrospectively.
S. L.
Always a great venue and great sound ..beer was a bit warm and pricey....
S. P.
Went to see Dylan Moran with the wife, good spot and great show. Only nitpick here is even with the signs it’s unclear where the full bar was for on tap beers etc. and the smaller bars only had shorts and snacks. Price wise probably isn’t worth the cost of the drink either so maybe save it for after the show.
Staff and all very helpful.
E. R.
Recently attended Dr Hook concert. Members of staff helped us find our seats and were very friendly. Seats are comfortable. There is a good variety of shows and concerts. Always enjoy a visit to the Waterfront.
M. N.
Went to see The Ulster Orchestra play James Bond movie themes. The concert had been cancelled 2 years ago and was only able to go ahead on Saturday. It was great to see the orchestra play something different and they did with great aplomb. Let's hope there are more evenings like this to come.
C. p.
Really enjoyed tonight's music from Showaddywaddy but the only thing that put a damper on a great evening was being asked to sit down as the people behind us couldn't see. There were loads of people in front of us up dancing + as we only stood up to take a video, I thought this was very unfair as we paid to see the show as well + nothing was said to the other people in front of us.
I had missed out on a good part of the program as I was unable to move .
B. T.
Fantastic venue. We saw Lord of the Dance. Stephanie was our ticket clerk. She helped us find our seats and was super hospitable!
T. M.
The Waterfront Hall is very well presented and located in Belfast beside the lodge River and many other wonderful bars and restaurants nearby for eating and drinking, nice walking areas and inside there are three tears balcony with each facing sides and front facing and very helpful staff and toilets on each side of the building with small bars and snacks and large enough stage, but I enjoy my time here and nearby pay car parks around the waterfront Hall
j. m.
A great concert venue. Not too large so you feel more involved 😄
A.
Really impressive venue. Plenty of room around the place. Seats are a bit tight but didn't matter too much.
Customer service at the bars was top class! Diolch
A. W.
Went to see Showaddywaddy last night. They were amazing I would highly recommend going to see them. The ushers were brilliant really friendly and helpful. I will be back next year for their 50 year anniversary
K. H.
Lovely setting and location, pleasant outside to wait for friends or have a chat after the performance, a few nice spots inside to have a drink and enjoy the views, bars and toilets everywhere so you're never left queueing including when exiting after a performance.
S. N.
Went to see Peppa Pig (after booking 2 years ago!!) covid obviously - I think they done 3 shows a day? We were the show in the afternoon and to be fair the place was disgusting with the previous kiddies I mean like that's fair they're all sweeties and having the best time but a bit of clean up would have been nice - parking was a bit on the expensive side but I like down there because after a show you can get out and home in no time not 10,000 people trying to get out - must mention the staff were very nice also behind the snack bar, getting you to your seats etc
j. h.
Second visit to see the fantastic three Amigos, a must visit attraction on your stay in Belfast
M. M.
I was here with a friend to attend an evening with Gary Neville which was of course amazing and the only reason the venue only gets 4 stars instead of 5 on because after queueing for what was admittedly on 2 mins for the bar when I went to pay I was told card only. While I understand the reasons behind this they either didn't advertise the fact at all or very well because as somebody who doesn't always carry a card I do look out for these things.
E. L.
Went to see Lord of the Dance and it was brilliant. The whole establishment was really clean and well organised. The staff couldnt have been more helpful and attentive. It was a brilliant night!
J. B.
The service in the waterfront is excellent their organisation skills are second to none Last night i went to the opening noght of the Lord of Dance it was amazing the song brought me back to my childhood singing the song in school the show was amazing with the graphics and customs and the Dancers what talent no wonder its still going strong after 25yrs well done all
M. K.
Absolute brilliant night great venue seats pretty good drinks and snacks available within the waterfront will be back again .
e. w.
Love this place. You have an excellent view no matter which seats you are in and can always see the act.
P. M.
Carparking was a nightmare in Layon Place because waterfront car park was closed, trying to pay for the parking, downloading app, registering the car, card etc all before the show starts. Would have been 5 ⭐apart from this hassle!
M. G.
I've seen quite a few shows here over the years, we went to see a production of Oliver by a stage school called Starburst, our Grandaughter Niamh way in the production. The foyer is quite big and plenty of room to move about.
K. C.
They need to check the toilets. I went into one and it refused to flush. The staff were friendly when showing us to our seats.
S. F.
A very enjoyable experience. Twenty five years since we enjoyed the first one "River Dance"1995. Complements of BT Telecom
J. M.
Good seating arrangements pity about plastic cups at bar doesn't add to night out experience
R. C.
Went to a concert on the 11th June, Hassle free entry, plenty of helpful staff, clean and just a fab place for an evening out
K. B.
Had a terrible time trying to book a group booking autumn 2021 but was sorted when I finally spoke to the customer services manager. He sorted everything out and assured me things are now getting better. Staff on the night of the performance were really helpful and kids loved the panto
m. l.
We were at a show here last night and it was brilliant. The layout of the theatre is very cool. We were up high in section Q and had an amazing view of everything. The staff and bars were excellent. A really great venue.
A. P.
Went to see Paul Smith and he did not disappoint. The Waterfront itself was ok. Toilets very small for the size of the venue. And no bar open during the interval. Other than that a decent enough venue
V. R.
Dr.Hook.
Great venue. Great seating all around. The sound was amazing. It's definitely worth the visit.
D. H.
Absolutely fantastic concert venue, been at the waterfront a number of times, great seating and view of the stage, also the sound in this building is really good, always keeping an eye out for who's playing the Waterfront.
J. C.
Very friendly security staff greeted us on arrival. The guys scanning the tickets and the guy and girl that showed us to our seats were also fantastic. The venue is very COVID aware and the seating extremely comfortable with adequate leg room. All in all a fantastic night. Thanks again 😄
L. J.
A wonderful experience on Friday night at Smokie and Johnny Hereo and his Glamslam Band. Staff were very friendly and helpful and courteous. The only thing I would say is that when people are seated they shouldn't be allowed to walk in and out during the performance. It's very disrespectful to the other people who are in the audience/stadium and very disruptive as well.
R. M.
Great music venue in heart of Belfast.
A. L.
Belfast wavefront is adjacent to Hilton hotel. A big good place for meetings, seminar, and conference. Nice welcome lounge. Several rooms for seminars and one big room for poster presentation. Coffee and tea available inside. Nice view of Lagan river.
V. W.
Fab place.. Great night out for concerts, pantomines and so on..
K. H.
Status Quo haven't lot their touch or sense of humour. Waterfront is a lovely venue but the stairs are a killer lol
L. I.
Good views all round. Easy access. Parking is only a few minutes away. Close to Lanyon Place train station.
Y. M.

Had a great night at the waterfront Hall to see riverdance.these dancers are brilliant 👏 so so talented. X
P. A.
Excellent venue. Great concert from Jools Holland. Security did a great job allowing people to dance without being over zealous.
S. L.
River dance 25th Anniversary at belfast waterfront hall was amazing even got to meet the dancers an even Michael Flatley after the show he even wished my fiance a happy birthday and give her a hug made her night even special. Fantastic performance put on from the cast and crew.
H. B.
Staff was very helpful. Nice venue. Good shows.
j. h.
Got parked no problem , got straight in no waiting , got our drinks straight away , and got to our seats no problem . Great show Tommy Tiernan , but a nightmare getting out of the car park .
P. G.
Went to Lord of the dance. A great venue, easily accessible, and parking close by.
G. B.
Was at the Lord of the Dance 25th anniversary loved is as my son Danced in that troop for almost 9 years Brilliant Night.
M. M.
I am reviewing the show not the arena. The show was the Christmas panto. It was great. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed the fast paced clever delivery. The sing song was great and all the usual panto fun. Can't wait to next year.
M. M.
Lord of the Dance was great. The Waterfront is a lovely venue with super views
S. M.
Great night out watching The UK Pink Floyd Experience, excellent venue.
R. M.
Lord of the dance was amazing
Staff at the waterfront were absolutely on top of their game
K. J.
We went to see Paramore here. The venue is nice and the crowds were calm. The drinks were a bit expensive but not the worst. Venue itself is small but the atmosphere was great!
S. C.
Fantastic concert from Ryan McMullan. Staff walking about with notices that face coverings must be worn at all times unless you are eating or drinking. But this was clearly not adhered to and the staff were not imposing it either. Also buying a soft drink from the bars and I still can't have the top left on, so it sits on the floor of the concert hall waiting for someone to kick it over. I think this is a ridiculous idea, don't know where it started but seriously it needs to stop. Saying that it is a good venue and these things won't put me off going again.
A. E.
Went to watch Lord of the Dance. Great place and helpful/friendly staff.
M. D.
Fantastic show. Another great experience at the venue
M. H. M.
The staff were friendly. Access and position for my wheelchair was good, however the very cold draft coning in through the door behind me was insane. The toilets are beyond naff.
J. L.
Absolutely brilliant nothing to much trouble for the staff and the show was great
G. S.
Nice venue, great location, good facilities and great coordination of staff at lunch for such a big crowd. Well done ICC Belfast
M. W.
Brilliant venue, no bad seats all have a great view of the stage.
P. M.
Great concert and I enjoyed the evening, drinks are little expensive in my opinion but then most venues are slightly dearer
D. D.
Great show very comfortable seats excellent staff
T. L. C.
Nice place , decent prices at the bar (Card only) Went to watch 'cinder on tinder' a hilarious adult show. It was amazing u are missing out if u havent seen it already !
S. M.
Great venue. I doubt there is a bad seat in this entire place.
M. B.
Attended on a few occasions and found absolutely nothing negative to say about the venue. As a wheelchair user, to ensure I enjoy the experience, it is vital that access to all public areas with ease and minimal fuss is made and at all times my needs have been met.
I freely moved from location to location, accessed elevators and navigated easily with well positioned signs. Staff are always welcoming and friendly, keen to facilitate and make the day easy; one particular member of staff (two years in a row), aided my needs with friendly advice and guidance, for which I am extremely grateful.
Bright, cheery and very welcoming, always happy to return.
Five star experience (all you can hope for is that you picked a worthy show/day out 😁)
G. L.
Absolutely love it here. Weather it be a girly night, family night, or date night this theatre offers something for everyone. Staff are very friendly.

Z. M.
Really impressed after my first visit here. Modern design, great location.
D. V.
Great venue for conference! Very clean and lots of rooms! More plugs inside the conference halls will make it even better!
G. A.
Great venue - but... being expected to wear a face covering while seated is in my view extreme.
A. D.
Great venue and friendly staff, price for drink is expensive.
S. D.
1st time at this venue, nice setting, wonderful staff and spotlessly clean. Went to watch Northern Ireland snooker tournament and I only wish I'd bought table side tickets. Will do next time then I won't get beer spilt over me. You live and learn.
L. S.
The Frozen Princess was absolutely brilliant. The cast were superb. Highly recommend for all the family . Brilliant idea to be able to meet and Greet the Cast and have tour picture taken with them all.
A. S.
Went to see the Ulster Orchestra for a Night in Vienna. Very nice program with beautiful sound. Always a good location for a great night out.
P. K.
Great to be back for live music.
M. M.
Brilliant place great view no matter what seat u sit on
P. D.
Friendly staff. Nice seats. Great show
M. J. A.
One of the finest venues to watch live music in Belfast, a city that already boasts a wide range of great venues. The amphitheatre style hall produces wonderful acoustics and is a sight to behold inside and out. One of the gems of Belfast.
S. C.
Great place for music, acoustics superb and just right size to enjoy a concert by your favourite artist.
A. L.
I recently attended a conference at the waterfront. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the 2 days, but particularly when my phone wasn't working staff went above and beyond to make sure I was safe and happy. I cant thank them enough
w.
Beautiful building and great acoustics was well heated worked for me
N. C.
The main auditorium is one of the best concert venues I've been to. The layout is specially designed to enhance views and acoustics, and it really does the job well. The other meeting venues and the main conference hall are all pretty standard for a conference facility. Varying levels of comfort and some with no natural light but generally fine. Excellent location, across the road from Lanyon Place train station and on many bus routes and one of the Glider routes. Could benefit from a more informal café/bar on the ground floor for event days/nights but there's a Hilton with a bar and restaurant next door, a Caffe Nero just outside, and a few other bars and restaurants within a short walk. Not in the middle of the city centre or anything but close enough. If it's a nice day try having a picnic by the Lagan.
M. J.
A great facility. The hall and hlways are immaculately clean and the staff are truly helpful and friendly.
S. H.
Attending SERC graduation in Waterfront Hall was a joy. The hall itself, even though over 20 years old, is still an impressive sight. The staff were outstanding, with everyone I met being courteous, and helpful.
One sad criticism, the disabled access, though available, is below par. Yes there are lifts but far too few and therefore the wait time is often ridiculous. A confusing 1,2,3 as well as A,B,C on the same floor selection panel noticeably contributed to wasting time with guests confused about when and where to get out. Disabled access to several other areas was via service corridors outside the main auditorium, not exactly user friendly.
A good venue sadly spoiled by last century's disability attitudes.
K. N.
Absolutely amazing. Nathan carter was class. Soo good to be back in the real world. Singin an dancing.🤣🤣
J. M.
Covid vaccantions or negative lateral flow proof with identification needed shown before getting into show. Anyone who no proof had to do lateral flow. The que to get in was big, however it moved quick enough, it was a dry night, if it was raining not sure how this would be managed. Good social distancing throughout the building, sound was really good. Looking forward to my other upcoming events in next few months.
H.

G. F.
Lovely auditaurium.
Over priced badly served drinks.
Was served warm coke in bottle, no cup offered, no lid, no receipt.
B. W.

Fantastic concert by Ulster Orchestra playing the music of John Williams. Epic
B. P.
Amazing sound and excellent lighting (Australian pink Floyd). Great venue.
A. M.
Lovely hall . Great performance marred only by audience members constantly leaving seats to go to the bar then the toilet . Never seen such disruption during a show ....EVER
M.
A premiere venue for a multitude of events. Great friendly staff too!
D. B.
Haven't worked here in years! And forgot how many stairs you have to go up and down to get around the place!
D. M.

M. E.
Bar very basic would like a bit of glamour
G. L.
Staff so friendly and helpful, venue was so clean and well laid out. Parking close by prices for parking as expected for the town centre.
L. H.
A very nice venue for concerts. It is all very clean and modern and the staff are helpful and polite. The amenities are all clean and functional, and there are usually good refreshments on offer, even if they are slightly expensive. The sound in the auditorium itself is pretty impressive too.
R. R.
Brilliant night at the New Irish Choir Christmas Carol Concert.

4th time here now, food is great, nice clean rooms and staff can't do enough for you especially Gary in the leisure centre

Car parking pitiful
Do not go to Donegal Quay park at evening time. They lock you in and have poor visible signage.

S. T.
Just been to see A Country Night in Nashville and was great, my second time seeing them. Check them out.
A. H.
Friendly staff , very clean venue.
C. J.
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and safe and above all a very welcoming venue.
J. M.
As usual sound was a bit ropey. Sound engineer did his job well and well balanced as the performance progressed
A. S.
Excellent place with good facilities. Ambience is very good and staff friendly anf willing to help. It has not its own parking but you can park at the Hilton Hotel or a nearby car park. Both well above average in price but good option if you decide to drive, otherwise, taxi is the option.
C. W.
It’s The Waterfront, what more is there to say, this place is amazing!! Seen many’s a performance here, always happy to go back. Bathroom facilities are always clean, seats in the theatre are always well kept. While there is bar facilities there I cannot say how good or pricey it is, having never used it. Finally, the staff in all areas are very pleasant and well mannered, very professional, essentially what you’d expect from an establishment of this quality.
d.
Superb venue, intimate yet expensively impressive, would not hesitate to go again, London Grammar were amazing and the venue was superb
P. M.
Great venue. Big enough but well laid out .
D. H.
The sound, setting and seating makes this a fab venue. I love attending shows here. You can also get coffees or alcoholic drinks here and you can bring them into the theatre, which is great.
D. G.
Great concert venue. Brilliant sound.
P. R.
Very clean and easy to get around
F. C.
A really great venue in the heart of the city, plenty of room for concerts and conventions spread across 3 floors I think. The food and bar stall are also spread throughout so there's no need to to hunt one down and join a large queue. Bathrooms are also abundant and kept very clean and stocked up
S. S. P. Ó. L.
Top class auditorium with 2,000 + seats. Great views from all sides and heights. Lots of facilities available, such as disabled facilities, plenty of toilets, with baby changing boards and most importantly lots of bars. You'll have a first class experience at this venue.
C. M.
Had a really good night at the musicals show. Great venue and helpful staff.
J. K.
Amazing team working this year again. Couldn't be more helpful. This is our 2nd year of (party of 19) going to the pantomime which was a great performance.
The only disappointment was that this year they didn't get to meet the cast after the show.
M. K.
It's got great staff and it's easy to get to with public travel. Plenty of bars and bathrooms. Always clean.
J. M.
Concession stand was a little pricy but the venue was amazing and excellent staff
K. M.
Very COVID aware, felt safe. Helpful and friendly staff. Lovely venue
J.
Love this building, and the offerings I've seen/heard in it
M. M.
My first visit to the Waterfront to see Nathan Carter also a first. Fantastic venue altho very big and could do with large screens. Very spacious in the foyer areas and plenty of room and comfort in the seats. Lovely views from the main bar and staff all friendly and helpful especially the lady who showed us to our seats in block Q. Will definitely go back.
A. N.
Excellent venue. People complain about the sound but its fine.
S. R.
Great venue with friendly staff.
D. M.
Great place for live music 🎶
m.
I’ve been here a number of times for boxing matches to pantomimes and it’s always a good time. It’s conveniently located. You are close enough to go into town after an event to carry on your night. Also great service the staff are all very friendly.
B. C.
Was there for a Glenn Hughes concert...pity it wasn't better supported..however as location and facilities, top class!
G. S.
Lovely place but not a great live 'gig' venue. I had standing tickets for a Foy Vance gig, the sound was terrible. The sound was much better in the seating areas. Also, the bars shut at 9:30pm.
T. S.
On Sat 9 Mar I visited the Waterfront Hall for the Anton & Erin show. The performance was fantastic but I have to congratulate the staff at the Waterfront Hall. At short notice the duty manager was able to facilitate my wife and I to avail of a new area to view the show. This was due to my wife having to temporarily use a wheelchair. The floor staff could not have been more helpful. Great show and great service. Thank you.
r. J.
The staff are wonderful so helpful and very friendly, when booking tickets the staff member was so good sorting out the best seats to suit the party I was taking. When we arrived they were so well trained they saw we needed extra help without asking and helped us to our seats. When the show was over they were there to help us out again. I have never experienced a better service from start to finish.
J. K.
Brilliant auditorium for music concerts. Fantastic views from the bar over Belfast and harbour area. Helpful and pleasant staff. Saw Bryan Ferry here tonight and was transported back in time. Wonderful experience all round! Loved it!
S. D.
Great place with great atmosphere and friendly staff 😁
N. M.
Very good easy in easy out staff very helpful
V. K.
Went to see the circus of horrors and was amazing! The building itself is beautiful, very classic/modern, seats were good and close to the stage and we were off to the left hand side. Sears themselves were a little stiff but not too bad. Staff were all friendly including security.
D. M.
Lovely venue but unfortunately main topic of conversation among people was not the show but the price of drink, its very expensive. They obviously match the prices in the bars in Belfast but the lack of seating in audorium means you usually have to stand, maybe more seating would warrant prices?
C. S.
Nicely built theatre with state of the art facilities
E. a. B.
Went to Chris Rea concert, he was great and the sound from our seating position at the front of one of the upper balconies was good. Friendly and helpful staff and good accessibility for wheelchair users. Only down side, we thought the refreshment stands on first floor could be greatly improved, no card sales and better choice of food snacks and I dislike the plastic bottles of beer which totally destroy the flavour.
S. H.
I think it would probably be a great view from wherever you sit!
J. p. d. S.
Brilliant place, very organised.
M. M. C.
Great venue and fantastic layout! Went here for the BBC good food show and had an amazing day. Telly well laid out and easy to navigate my way through the place and all the stalls.
J. L.
Went to a work event here, lovely venue with great views.

The bars are extremely crowded before shows and during the interval, you would need to leave a few minutes before the interval to avoid the queues. Good facilities and friendly staff, though. Great view Of The stage from every seat.
M. D.
.The architecture of the building is amazing. Very clean place.Staff was welcoming and leading people were to go as we got through. Amazing show. The acoustic was speechless. Thank you so much for the lovely night.
F. L.
Staff were lovely. Show was great.
L. M.
The Pros:
Staff were really friendly and helpful, even when they had to essentially deal with the same enquiry over and over again.
The food was really tasty, and there was usually a free-from option that catered to most dietary requirements, there was also a good selection of teas available.
The centre is really beautiful and airy with fantastic views and an easy-to-access location.
The Cons:
There were multiple technical difficulties which persisted for the first two or three days -such as audio projecting into the wrong room, projectors not working, computers logging off at random etc.
While the food was tasty, the portions were really mean and small
The air con was consistently too cold, many people were wearing coats in presentations, we were told to ask staff if we were too cold, but I saw no improvement.
This review is definitely generally positive and I had a good time there and would return, but there are issues that a conference venue like this should definitely work on.
S. R.
Recently attended the BBC Good Food show here. The recent refurbishment has done wonders for the Waterfront, the show was very well laid out over 3 areas and the new Super Theatre is great to watch shows in with no bad seats anywhere.
D. C.
The best concert venue in Belfast.
Friendly staff, comfortable seating and I honestly don't think there is a bad seat in the house. I've been to a few concerts here and sat in many different areas and they're all great.
P. G.
Nice hall. Excellent seating. Sound can be a bit tinny at the back depending on what's on stage. Do like coming here for shows. Good parking and close to central station if you're training it. Recommended.
S. S.
AMAZING. The staff was so kind and helpful. But one thing you should know if you're travelling here to see a show is that they don't accept euros. I was disappointed when I wanted to buy some gifts from the show I went to, only to be informed that they don't accept euros. So if you're planning to pay in euros, make sure to exchange them first.
J. M. M.
No matter where you sit, the view is excellent in this modern venue
S. S.
Very impressed by this venue.
R. R.
Excellent customer service from the Waterfront today!! After a bit of a mix up with tickets for a MUCH anticipated and sold out event this week, the wonderful Clarke managed to sort me out with a last-minute ticket!! ❤ Thank you so much...I will be forever grateful!! 😊
N. H.
Belfast's flagship conference and event space. Hosts a wide range of acts throughout the year.
M. A. M.
Great place, we were there for a concert, very nice, clean easy access since it’s quite close to the train station so you can walk from there to the waterfront hall. We didn’t have many places open to eat at the time the concert has finished but the place itself it’s lovely.
G. E.
Great venue, helpful staff
F. l.
Great venue in Belfast. I saw a live band here. The acoustics were great and the sight lines are good. The bar is not too expensive and the theatre is kept clean and tidy.
k. m.
Wow fab experience, staff are amazing Def be back
E. T.
Super venue love the design. Good view of stage from almost every comfortable seat. Helpful staff. More ladies toilets please!!
J. M.
Great venue. Acoustics are great for music
J. M.
Very friendly & helpfull staff. Including ticket salesperson at Ulster Hall. Theatre great, modern and clean.
The Dance Titanic Show was outstanding and very professional. Loved our visit.☺
J. M.
Great venue. Staff were also very accommodating and pleasant. Can't say anything about food or drinks because I brought my own in a bag but I'm sure they're expensive as usual.
C. S.
Went to see Jeff Dunham. After a quick bag check we were in. The drinks served quickly and. Large staff helpful to show you which door to go to and to sit you down. We sat near the front middle and acoustics were good and the lighting great. Overall a great experience
S. R. W.
Such a beautiful building. I went to a concert (Biffy Clyro) and it was such a special venue. Bathrooms are accessible , there's a bar outside the doors leading into concert hall. It was great. Really nice security people too!
C. D.
Seen interactive introverts by Dan and Phil. I was in the upper gallery with a perfect view of the stage; the place doesn't seem to big nor too small. Chairs are made of wood so they're a bit uncomfortable, but the place is perfect for an evening out
L. R. G.
Great views! Great venue for graduation ceremonies.
R. G.
Really nice venue, the staff are really nice and friendly. Always enjoy coming here to watch concerts. Only thing be good of there had more stuff to buy when visiting concerts as in food ways
C. M.
The greatest thing about the waterfront is that every seat has a good view. At times the acoustics aren't perfect for warm up acts and the pre theatre drinks that should be chilled aren't chilled enough but as a theatre, it's great.
M.
Shocked at the number of empty seats. We were at the highest and furthest away seats and the acoustics, while adequate, did not enable the full sound (especially of the softest tenor) to travel the whole way. It's also a shame that so many people think it's OK in a formal concert like The Messiah to have a toilet break mid-proceedings.
P. B.
Loved the show but teiring of seats not good as could only see heads in front of me. Cost of soft drinks appauling as 2 small water 1 diet coke almost £7!!
R. S.
Great clean lovely place.
R. S.
The Waterfront hall is one of those places where the seating, staff and accoustics are just right. I went to see Whitney Queen of the night, a fabulous show. The singer playing Whitney was spot on, backing singers and musicians excellent. Overall a brilliant night.
D. M.
Amazing venue for concerts
M. D.
Covid status thoroughly checked at doors. Bars open but all drinks and snacks to be consumed in seats.
a. c.
Fantastic venue. The acoustics and views are tremendous. Few downsides. Firstly, this is an absolutely beautiful venue from the outside but unfortunately it is totally obscured by hideous empty office buildings so that it cannot be seen properly ..... how in earth was permission given by council planning to obscure this fabulous venue???
The bar is atrocious, never ever have I benn anywhere with such poor service, but it is a private company who run this council service. They always run out of drink and the staff do not know how to serve people but I suppose if they are paid peanuts why should they care?!! The council need to take bake control of this and run it properly.
b. c.
Attended the Joan Baez concert which was wonderful with excellent sound. Had a pre concert meal in the restaurant. While the food was very good the service was horrendous. We had booked for 6.30pm and ended up in a rush to get to the concert on time. Very disappointing.
D. C.
Went to see Glenn Hughs, great gig, great music😀🎸👍. First time at the Waterfront, terrific venue, comfy seats, clear view of the stage and excellent acoustics. Highly recommended.
G. P.
Company Managers' Conference in an excellent auditorium. Unseasonably sunny weather made the foyer area a little uncomfortable & the evening event may have stretched resources a little but a very positive experience overall.
l. S.
We really enjoyed the show it's a lovely venue ,The staff were very helpful ,The only problem was getting a taxi after the show , especial when there is no taxi rank close to the venue and the wet night didn't help ,
s. s.
Ground floor mezzanine Bar staff are not trained....a bunch of school kids out if their depth...got orders wrong...some bars do not accept card !! But how would you know until at point of service .....hand towels in toilets at 1st floor were both fully used, dirty before Roy Keane gig and were not then replaced. Signage is poor
M. M.
Still a great venue.
E. J. C.
It can be mixed reviews for the water from but before the extension it was a really beautiful building. The glass front is great, all in all I have enjoyed the variety of events here. Some thing for everyone.
G. S.
Was here for my brothers graduation. Amazing venue, great facilities. It is located right beside the Hilton hotel which is really convenient if you were staying over in Belfast for an event in this arena. It is also based directly across from Victoria Square Shopping Centre which is attached to a Q Park for easy parking.
M. F.
Lovely buillding , centrally located close to city centre. Plenty of room and easy access. Food and soft drinks available. The only complaint is the lack of toilets, as all shows take a break at roughly the same time
R. M.
Good show children got a thrill from the cast
K. F.
My sister, who has a disability and myself attended the wonderful Johnny McEvoy concert last night at The Studio in the Belfast Waterfront. I made the booking by telephone and the lady I spoke with couldn't have been more helpful or informative regarding facilities for disabled. On our arrival at the Studio we met with staff member Stephen Dennison who assistance through the course of the evening was invaluable. His pleasant demeanour and willingness to help are exemplary. Well done Stephen .Well done Telephone lady. Well done Waterfront.
R. N.
Good venue for a show. I liked my seat in the H block (stay as close to the centre as possible), it wasn't to far away and the rows had a good rake for unobstructed views.
S. W.
We went to see the Ulster Orchestra's Christmas Concert. Highly recommend it. It is a lovely venue but the parking lets it down a little
T. C.
Interesting, versatile venue in a great setting. Likewise the nearby bar. Both also had difficulty serving food and drink to large numbers of people at a time (big conference numbers).
W. G.
Great night out with the Mrs. Went to see comedians Foil, Arms and Hogg. Very good night. Best Belfast venue we've seen them in.
R. M.
Excellent facilities for NASUWT conference.
S.
Great location but needs a revamp. Went to see Dara O'Brien on the 18th and a bulb blew on the stage (this isn't too unusual). Those giant rolls of towel in the toilets just remind me of primary school in the 90s, surely they can get a revamp
b. m.
Brilliant evening Smokie was fantastic!!!
C.
We visited the waterfront hall for the Christmas pantomime. It was a well produced affair with the children really enjoying it. There is a carpark next door, slightly further down the 1 way system, take the turn off for the Hilton to get to it.
L. P.
Lovely theatre with good views from all the seats... reasonable prices for shows... friendly and helpful staff... convenient parking within walking distance at reasonable rates
D. C.
Great gig and even up in our seats in block P row 8 you weren't to far away from the action. Next time I think I'd try for block J overlooking the stage.
k. 6.
Very well run and friendly staff
P. F.
We came here for the quirky wedding show and really enjoyed it. Loved how the show was spread out over the 3 floors. It was a much more intimate setting and I liked that.
R. T.
Excellent venue with lots of seating. My only issue is that something in the auditorium always seems to make me feel dizzy, and a number of people I have spoken to get the same feeling.
D. C.
Great venue as long as you're not afraid of heights. Bar queues in intermissions can be very long (lots of bars but need more staff).
j.
Seen sir Michael parkinson here , beautiful place , very friendly staff.
T. L.
Very clean venue as it was an event were we were hanging around a lot no seats available a bit pricey to park near and coffee is expensive and to be honest not value for money my appichino was a small cup and half foam for 2.75 tray bakes 2.50 each as nice as they were to expensive
D. F.
There on Friday evening to see Smokie, really takes me back too 😉
D. B.
Lovely building but the way they sell the tickets was very strange, the hall was little over half full and yet seats at one side (with a poor view) were allocated first with central seats empty, they need to have a look at this situation.
B. M.
Uplifting melodic experience
D. S. S.
Great night at pantomime the cast where fantastic
N. S.
Wonderful theatre! Clean, comfortable and atmospheric. Staff are always on hand to help and they're fantastic with children.
B. L.
Good venue and show that we attended was great, plenty of clean toilets. Only gripe is that the till system at the bar was down and this wasn't communicated very well.
J. S.
Excellent sound quality and not a bad seat in the house. Super friendly staff. I LOVE coming here!
r. c.
Class venue
A. I.
Seven drunken nights. Fantastic, what a night.
N. B.
Good conference venue, excellent facilities (projectors, PA system). WiFi worked well. Waterfront staff and catering contractors were friendly and helpful.
A. B.
Great work night out
M. N. C.
Worked in Belfast Waterfront Theatre recently. Would highly recommend, a beautiful venue - great for conferences or entertainment gigs. Parking available in Hilton car park, 2 minutes away.
k. m.
Good big ball rooms. The staff were all very helpful and courtesy. Would recommend for any corporate event where you want people to relax and enjoy and be well looked after.
M. T.
Staff are fantastic Only downside was people continuously getting up to get drinks. Should have policy for no drinks inside auditorium or no admittance once performance has begun
K. m.
Lovely theatre in Belfast. Quite good comfortable seating. Good range of shows and we enjoyed the show we went to see. Bar and food available.
B. B.
A fantastic theatre all-round.
Never been disappointed with the staff and overall atmosphere. I have many shows and can't wait to get back.
S. M.
Looks great, clean and modern. Took my kids to Bing live here, but as soon as we got in realised it would be an expensive day.. only 2 "souvenirs" were available, a magazine that was £5 and a light up spinning wand for £6 (the batteries didn't last the day, they've been binned already). The magazine was something you'd get in Eason's for £1.50 and the wands are around £1 from China. These are right beside the doors to the show so were unavoidable, but thruthfully the 3 stars is because as we were leaving after already spending £100+ after tickets, souvenirs, snacks and £2 for a bottle of room temperature water each they still sat outside the place asking £5 for a helium balloon. I understand they're there to make money, but take it easy when it's for kids shows. I'll be back, but I'll definitely raise my budget up for it next time.
W. H.
Brilliant as always, only down side is a barman trying to flex his authority with another member of staff. All other staff were fantastic and venue is always immaculate.
J. d. R.
Very nice place with good acoustics and good views even from the top levels. In the break service at the bars was rather slow depending on where you go and the drinks were not very cold.
d. w.
Went to the snowman with the Ulster Orchestra. Fan dabby dosie.
J. W.
Great place for concerts
P. G.
Was here for Kraftwerk in June. Very helpful staff. Excellent seats and brilliant sound. Easily accessible if you're driving or using the train.
陳.
Beautiful conference building with amazing views, delightful coffee bar, and clean and comfortable environment. Great place for both small meeting and big conference.
D. C.
Went to see snow patrol and had an unreal night. The hall is so well designed for music and parked right beside the place all-in-all great place and well looked after.
I. H.
Lovely venue with excellent acoustics and good view from all areas. Wine bar had a limited choice and pricey but service was good and staff friendly.
E. G.
We were here for a childs show in the morning. Great venue and very easy to get to. Will definitely come again.
T. M.
Well set up for management of large crowds. They'd ran ou of milk and tea at coffee bar as this was a Christian style event, presume they hadn't planned ahead for coffee and tea drinkers on mass, rather than alcohol drinkers.
J. E.
This is my favourite place to perform. I had the privilage of being one of the opening acts when it was first built. Such a wonderful place with great staff.
N. T.
Great venue 😊
If you are bringing under 5's there are alot off steps to some seats!
Staff helpful and friendly 👍
T. S. Z. M.
You can actually just go to the nice restaurant and bar and enjoy the Incredible views of Belfast and the Lagan. You don't actually have to go to see a show. Shows are usually top end though
p. l.
Brilliant venue. Great atmosphere. Staff were amazing on the night. Highly recommended for any show or concert
B. W.
Fantastic night watching the Quo
D. M.
The acoustics in this auditorium are far superior to any other Belfast venue and all the seats are good seats
N. M.

Restaurant serves great food.
All staff are helpful and friendly.

A big thank you to Sandra at the Ticket Collection Point who resolved my unintentional double booking for this evening's show so pleasantly and efficiently. Very much appreciated. Patricia M
K.
Was at Rag'n'bone man concert, great sound and venue
J. M.
Great venue with friendly staff. Could do with a better bar system to stop the massive queues during intervals though.
E. M.
Great venue for music. Good seats with a good all round view. Upstairs bar has a good selection and great views of Belfast.
B. L.
Lovely venue for various acts, have seen comedy show, kids show and music show here. Always happy to go to Waterfront Hall, would recommend.
W. D. F.
The iconic Waterfront Hall;the symbol of the rebirth of Belfast after 20/30 years of civil strife now shielded by nothing but glorified portokabins which could not be described as iconic!!! Still a b'ful arena in there somewhere - you now have 2 look 4 it 😈😈
E. E.
Great venue for shows, always well pressented and warm. Nice views and in walking distance of some nice places to eat and shop.
C. M.
The Waterfront is an excellent conference venue. The location is ideal, close to the city centre and to the train station. The building is very modern and the set-up is ideal.

Our family plans for a special birthday celebration at a long awaited for comedy show in the beautiful Waterfront, were shattered after the sudden death of our dear nephew Tony. The very empathic Dave, gave my family the opportunity to attend another show. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. We could do with some happiness. #belfastwaterfront#staffarethebest#intheworld.

Clean but as always very expensive drinks.

Great location for shows. I parked in the Hilton hotel car park as you can prepay for the parking and it's £7.50 for the night .

It's a very large convergence venue. One of those new global settings for hosting large conventions. The place is fine in all respects
L. H.
Great show carpenters story. Went with my daughter and her friend. Really good night.
J. G.
The main trouble wasn't with the hall it was the cost of the food. £2-50 for a basic cup of tea! Also why could we only access the hall by the side entrance?
A. B.
