Reviews of O2 Academy Bournemouth

First time I've been here, and it is a very stunning and beautiful venue. Saw Pale Waves with my daughter. The lighting and the acoustics were great. Nice layout

A perfect case of don't judge a book by it's cover. Standing outside in the day you would be forgiven for wondering if you had the right place. It's on the high street, it's not the nicest of high streets to be fair, but then you head inside.
A large open plan ground floor surrounded by balconies and frankly stunning architecture greets you. Staff are really friendly and helpful, bar prices not too extortionate (given its the south coast and a venue!) Toilet facilities are cosy but clean.
The acoustics are just phenomenal though! Well worth a visit in my book.

I really like the set-up of this venue, it feels spacious and relaxed, easy to find a spot with a decent view. Toilets were also well set up compared to some other O2 venues I've visited and were still in a reasonable state after the show.
Bar staff were observant and quick to serve, although I was surprised to be paying the same steep prices for a pint as in London venues. Over £6.50 for a pint of San Miguel is far too much!

Great place for live gigs, very close to stage, a good views from balcony too, bars were lretty good, although like most venues, bit overpriced, otherwise a lovely graded building to watch an icon of electronic music, Mr Gary Numan, what a great showman and show

Great venue, very homey with awesome vibes. Pit and balconies had plenty of space, stage perfectly aligned - makes for an amazing show.
Went to see YungBlud again.

Terrific venue although disappointed with paying £6.50 for pint of beer 🍺 Really? Get realistic prices people and you would sell more beer!!

The theatre is lovely and ornate. Sprung wooden dance floor and great accoustics. Great venue for bands. Beware though the drinks are very expensive! £13.50 for large 2 pint glass and £9 for small bottle of wine with limited choices.

Good sized venue that has fairly major bands. Great as you're always fairly close to the stage. From the balconies there is a fair bit of competition for the best spots but you get reasonable views throughout.

Good sized venue but definitely needs a spruce up. The queue to get in and for the bar was really chaotic and took far too long. Would be great if more bands came to play there as Bournemouth often seems to get missed out for the bands I want to see!

Box office were brilliant! Emailed a few days before a gig with a request and they bent over backwards to help me and my wife. When we arrived Becky was amazing and her customer service made our night.
