Staff here were great generally happy and kind 'after a slight problem the Staff reacted quick and effective and made sure we were all OK I would say it definitely one of the more safe clubs in the area. Music was good choice a mixture of everything and drink were priced well it wasn't too busy which was nice as we had room to ourself which is isn't always easy in a busy club A big thank you to all the staff

Came here last night as a group of 5 and unfortunately had some men harassing us and making us feel very uncomfortable. One man dragged one of the group away (who was very drunk) and as I followed I saw him give her a water which I immediately took off her and immediately a member of staff appeared with a closed bottle of water and kept an eye on us. We were on the dance floor and we had another man that wouldn't leave us alone and man with tattoos (I'm not sure if he was staff but said he has been going there since he was 16 and was now mid or late 30s) and he was pitting himself in between us and the men that wouldn't leave us alone. We ended up leaving because it got to a point where men were coming up to us from every angles and as soon as we left a younger member of staff ( I would say early 20s) came straight out to talk to us and make sure we were OK. I needed to go back in to go to the toilet before we fully left and he came in with me and waited outside the door and escorted me back out and I've never felt more safe in town and I really appreciated how safe all the staff made us feel. Would definitely recommend. Ive been in there a number of times and never had an issue but unfortunately there were just some men out that were making us uncomfortable so we had to leave early but all of the staff were amazing and helped us all feel very safe and comfortable. There wasn't one time I felt like if I was left alone I was going to be in danger because all of the staff kept a very close eye on us.

While the staff are helpful and friendly many of the people who attend don't respect consent or boundaries. And my friend was subjected to a racist complaint made by another person who accused him of predatory behaviour, and was chucked out which was distressing to him as an Asian man as he was mistaken for someone else. If queenshilling prides itself as being a safe space they should condemn racist behaviour and not let the racist person back into the bar.

Used to go here when I was at uni 2008-2012. Lovely, friendly, inclusive environment in which I was very happy. I felt invited into my friend's world and thoroughly enjoyed my time.

Amazing gay club in Bristol, it's been going for years one of the first clubs I went to back in the early 00's! So friendly and welcoming! The music is always a really good mix of dance and pop and get up and dance classics, generally it's busy especially on the weekends. This place is not to be miss if you are looking for a fun night out. I've never come across any trouble there!

If the bar staff were friendlier the place might have a little more warmth to it. They aren't rude, they just often look sick of their lives. Maybe their boss needs to break out the good biscuits for them in their team meetings and make them a nice cuppa!

Visited Bristol this weekend to visit some friends and we came here. Really nice atmosphere and pleasantly surprised by the toilets. So we'll maintained and modern. Very lovely for a club/bar. Expected it to be dinjy and no toilet roll. But much to my surprise the total opposite.

The venue perfectly balances a good night out on the scene whilst maintaining that local and friendly feeling. Good nights, reasonably prices drinks and way better than OMG which doesn't support the local community at all.

Very friendly staff, beer always perfectly served, good resident djs, great sound quality and volume right everywhere in the club. Friendly crowd, usually peaks around midnight unless there's a special event.

The Shilling is quite good, they accept card (isn't good for my bank!) and have a diverse mix of nights on from Psycho:Drama to Fired up. Very reasonable drink prices and friendly staff.
