Vegan burger was surprisingly good, it’s always a bit hit and miss with vegan food especially in a place like this! I’m not a vegan but just didn’t fancy meat. Fast service abs good value for money. Comedy was brilliant as well. Staff were super quick and friendly, Certainly would recommend visiting of an evening!

Brilliant evening. The host (Robin Morgan) was fabulous. The 3 acts were good too. Faye Treacy was a bit too much. Leroy was very good and Carey was absolutely brilliant. Decent selection of food and drinks. Easy check in. Great seats.

This review is for the club only as the guests are entirely subjective. The club is great, seats are all assigned, and your drinks will be waiting for you at your table. Now it's all digital ordering means no more queues as the bar at the start or at half time. Food was good, although the bottle openers on the buckets aren't the best and led to me spraying a nearby table with sticky cider! Sorry!

Wonderful staff and a friendly atmosphere. If you are one of the few people that don’t know about this place. Give it go , you won’t be disappointed.

Enjoyed the comedy last night. Full capacity, no bar service only ordering from the app for food and drinks but it was amazing service, really fast. Saves queuing at the bar. The show was really good, the compare was very funny. Toilets are OK, smelt like the hand drier was about to go on fire, but other than that all good. There is a lift if you don't want to walk upstairs. Taxi rank at the nd of the street and nice views around Cardiff Bay.

Went to comedy night and can't have high enough praise, brilliant acts, laughed all night, there's not enough good praise. We had fish and chips there too which was also good.

As a comedy club its fine, good seating layout to view the stage with plenty of leg room, although chairs could have been comfier. I also thought the sound quality through the speakers was a little bit poor. Came here first week that the Covid passport was required. Really good adherence to mask rules from all the other guests, only let down really by the staff in the place who don't seem to think it applies to them.

Researched how the venue was handling Covid safety and they said they need vaccine cards or negative test results to go in. This reassured us. Sadly, once there they asked for neither. The tables were also much too close together in long lines. An announcement was made to please wear your mask when walking around the venue. Not many did and no one was asked to. Not impressed at all. The show was incredible and I do love this venue but won't be going again until its safer.

Had such an amazing time. Went to see Daliso Chaponda and he was amazing. It was my first comedy show never been to anything like that and this was the best place to start it's small but intimate and I felt like I was very much part of the experience and the staff are very friendly which is always a bonus

Had the best nights craic here on Sat 4th, ended up coming back Thurs 9th for another show. Sat 4th the show was hosted by Steffan Alun who is hilarious and really got the crowd going! The acts were Andrew Ryan, Brennan Reece and Mike Gunn. They were all absolutely hilarious, esp Brennan on account of me being Irish 😅 Thurs 9th was hosted by Robin Jay Morgan and the acts were Maisie Adam, Mark Nelson and Danny Clive. My partner literally laughed so hard at Danny, which just kept amusing me even more 🤣 Maisie RIP your hair babes. The drink selection is great and the food is excellent. Ordered their popcorn chicken one night & their gormet popcorn the next (as we had already eaten before the show), all were the best quality. Everything is reasonably priced and I love the thought of jug cocktails for groups! We will def be back on our next trip to Cardiff. Highly recommend for a night craic If you plan on getting food at Cardiff Harbour though, make sure you book like a week in advance as they were all booked up!

Great night out for friends, family, work-do' and especially couples or students. Great discounts available for students that can show student ID, also with next to nothing cost for entry, aswell as discount vouchers for food and drink served. The prices for pitchers and bigger foods are a little steep, but well worth it as I've experienced no disappointment the two times that I've visited. Comedy stars are great, with on average at least one well known comedian. Overall, a great night no matter what the circumstances.

My only negative is the price of the food, a couple of small (mug sized) portions of chips, 4 churros and a pitcher of blue lagoon cost about £45 :( will definitely be back but will probably just stick to having one drink next time. came for a pre Christmas night out and what a laugh. it was brilliant. the host was fantastic. and so we're there guest comedians. we were right in the front row. shame some people over drink and talk loudly through the acts tho but the staff took care of them. food was very nice and drinks fairly priced. really enjoyed it and would love to go back again soon

I came here due to a comedians recommendation (Andrew Bird--who was also hosting the show) Great atmosphere, great location. Great variety in comedy acts. Nice food (I had fish and chips). Drinks are very reasonably priced. ( large diet Pepsi with ice for £2.20) Would definitely recommend and will be back in the future.

We had a great night out at the The Glee Club. Despite having "unreserved seats" we were checked in and shown to our table. There is a varied menu and a both snacks and full meals. The pizza seemed popular. We only had dessert as we had eaten earlier. The brownies with ice cream were really good. Pitchers of beer or cocktails are available from the bar so you don't have to get up during the acts. The Glee Club isn't very big, so wherever you are sat, you get a view of the stage. We saw Lee Nelson, and he was hilarious. A great comedy venue, I'll be looking to visit again soon.

Comedy for the most part was really funny. Cheap night out. Bar staff were friendly. The bar is busy between acts cause they rip into you if you're still there after the next act comes on. The comedians mics weren't loud but the music between acts almost deafened me. I like the unisex toilets, it actually prevents women from gathering there.

One of my favourite comedy clubs. Always has a great atmosphere and all seats provide a great view. Food is much nicer than you'd expect and there's usually some local beers available. Staff are lovely but the manager is a bit odd

Good size comedy venue. Seating plan's a bit snug and tables are tiny so people keep knocking stuff off them but the system they've got with food and drink orders is quite good. Good quality performers there regularly too. Will keep going back.

Had a good night, although I was late and my friends didn't get my message and ate my food. Hardly the club's fault but left me hungry and unable to drink as I had to drive (due to being late). Being Christmas I would have preferred to been able to let my hair down, so wasn't able to enjoy to its fullest potential. Apart from that there was good selection of comedians, but can't comment on the food as I didn't eat any. Shame as it did look nice. Perhaps next time I will review again once I get the full experience...

First time for me in the Glee Club, venue itself is ok. I think the food menu is totally overpriced and expensive... £7 for nachos... drinks are expensive too.... however it was the comedian that made our night - Gary Meikle - he was amazing. I'd only return to the glee club if he was back there..

The queue for the bar at the start is rediculious - over half an hour to get a round in. That really needs some streamlining - either get some more staff in our offer a table service.

What can I say other than Fantastic. Each time i have presented myself to the funny folk at GLEE i haven't been dissapointed. Some acts are a little less than to my taste but then that's comedy. I make the trip every 2 weeks to sit at my table eat the very nice food at a reasonable price and be waited upon by the finest staff around. What i spent with the other half in one night at GLEE for the two of us, food drink and laughs, wouldn't get us more than a couple of rounds in a pub. Make some memories and have a bloody good night at the GLEE club Cardiff. The best few hours money can buy.

Firstly I would like to say what a fantastic night we had in the glee club. Our first time there. We had food and a really good drink and so spent quite a bit of money. We had taken customers for a night out. The only thing that spoilt our evening was one of your door men. After asking us to leave as the doors were closing , to which we replied we were just finishing our drinks he became quite abrupt and in the end very rude, he was an embarrassment to your establishment and I suggest you send him on a customer service course on how to treat your customers. There are much better ways to encourage people to drink up than the way he spoke to us!

Well organised venue. Sizeable bar, and plenty of toilets meant barely any queuing even when the venue was full. Time calls for last food and drink orders before the main event, updates of delays etc Friendly staff, guides took us to our seats. A bit snug in places but a large amount of people fitted pretty well with organised seating area.

Very interesting experience as I liked some things and I see that people don’t bother with the things I didn’t like so.. I appreciate that the place it’s liked by customers for not so quality jokes/ comedies. I presume that people are coming in 'the mood ' of 'relax..chill out " anyway and that’s enough! I have find the place over populated and not so focused on hygiene in general, starting with clean tables and the ventilation and finishing with the toilets that needs care. We laugh too and have had fun but too many low moments and lack of care in regards of the appearance of the main character/ presenter. Creativity is like sugar in coffee. You know is there but if you’re not doing the effort to stirring 'the sugar ' ..the coffee/ your product it’s still bitter...difficult to swollen. Reading newspapers and taking time to write a quality humour is challenging! Not curious to see them again! I do recommend this place for experience.

Good night out, but not somewhere we go regularly (maybe once a year) . Beer overpriced and food is VERY slow and costly for the quality provided. Do not even think of heckling, you will simply be ejected rather than becoming an active part of the act!

Saw a number of them up and coming (now) TV famous comedians 1-2 years before they became big. Lucky to see Kathryn Ryan, Joe Lycett, Tom Allen, Suzie Ruffell, Zoe Lyons, Desiree burch to name a few but Lee Mack, Rhod Gilbert Greg Davies, Chris Ramsey have also passed through here along with contestants of Tv show Britain's Got Talent... but watch Glee's Cardiff social media pages carefully if you want to see such performances. To be fair even the lesser known comedians are fantastic and I've never had a poor evening. Venue holds around 440 people, well stocked bar at rear, serves food good wheelchair / elevator access and bathroom facilities. Being in Cardiff Bay it's also immediately surrounded by pubs, bars, coffee lounges and variety of restaurants should you wish to make an afternoon/evening of it.

I have been going here every year, last night (19/10/2018) was a bit of a disappointment. Nearly all the comedians focused too much on politics, gender identity and race. Most of the jokes were from a very politically correct and from left wing, social justice perspective. I guess this is a sign of our times and not the fault of the glee club, but it never made for great comedy. Woke comedy just isn't funny.

Very cosy intimate venue with lots to offer in the form of food, drinks and shows. Staff are very friendly and polite, got very quick service even thought the bar was fairly busy. Will definitely be attending future shows/performances here.

This was my third visit to the Glee Club in Mermaid Quay. The MC for the evening was Robin Morgan. Excellent audience participation, very witty and interacted dynamically with the audience very well. Charming and funny. I read that Ross Noble had likened Gavin Webster to Bill Hicks. He was quite funny but I cannot see the similarity with the great Mr Hicks. However, very entertaining. Adam Bloom was his usual hilarious self. A stalwart of any comedy evening. His delivery was outstanding as always, even when recycling a few gags. I cannot remember the name of the third comic but she was from Newport I think, and was funny and entertaining. Now, the highlight of the evening for me was the unbilled appearance of Russell Kane. Russell really is at the top of his game. Full of new material and one or two of his classics. He was ON FIRE! His local knowledge added another level of comedy which I enjoyed immensely. Russell has restyled his look and this added to his delivery. A brilliant night was had by all.

I live walking distance from the Glee Club... And I love this place the atmosphere is so intimate.... Lately I've been seeing a few acts in here.... The other day I literally went there and seen Benjamin Zephaniah and it was absolutely amazing I ended up buying his book as well.... if you're thinking of going to this place get there early because of the queues because there's no seating arrangements and you can basically have any seat you want when you get there.... So the people at the front of the queue normally get the seats at right at the very front.... The beer prices are quite average for Cardiff Bay as well kebab brother

Venue is hard to describe. I was there to see Irish song master Brian Kennedy. Club is at top of a flight of stairs in the management complex. Reminded me a bit of places I've been to in Blackpool - basic, clean (odd smell of background bleach - but rather than than the smell of something worse) and you get what you pay for. Seats were ok and did not have to sit in the ones that have an adjoining table in front. The two members of staff I dealt with extremely efficient knowledgeable and friendly. Toilets were odd but in a nice way. Everyone goes through the same door and the washing hands fountain is on an automatic switch so it looks like your own seperate fountain. Women go thru door to left men to the right. So any niggles ? - the daft name smacks of the 50s and could put people off.
