R. T.Really enjoyed this venue. Friendly staff on the door, friendly bar staff too. OK not the greatest of selection of non alcoholic drinks but a great venue, ideal for gigs and lively seating area upstairs with ideal good views of the stage. We'll done team globe I'd definitely return
F. T.We attended Lucy Spraggan on the 28th November. We found the gig an absolute delight and the staff super friendly throughout.
Some things to note is this is not an accessible venue and it desperately needs gender neutral toilets.
Will visit again, no doubt.

t. l.Doesn't matter what band you watch the bass is always out of proportion for the rest of the music. Aside from that it's cosy and has a nice balcony.

a. j.Very rough and ready live music club that values volume over sound quality. About half the stages taken up by huge speakers which means you can't see the band playing. If you could mount the PA system on the walls and get a sound tech who understands that louder isn't always better and it could be a half decent venue. My only other complaint is the price of the drinks, especially when you bear in mind that you're served in plastic cups.

N. C.A relatively small venue with two floors. Staff are friendly and it's small enough that you can normally get as close to the bands as you wish .
Conveniently located on a main street, I've attended a fair few gigs there and never run into trouble.
If you're traveling by bus a 57 or 58 from Cardiff Central will take you to the high street and it's just a few minutes walk away.
Still sells Sommersbys cider which is a plus for me.
Just down the road is the Claude, which is a good one to go to get a few pre-gig beers in.
All in all a really good venue.
A. A.Music by Santinistas was good and atmosphere lively. The way the sound reflects all around , on a bad way , distorts the music and does not help even rock music. I am not sure this popular music venue can go on without trying to improve a bit acoustics

D. H.Love this venue. Normally go to watch covers bands here but tonight went to an 80s night for a friend's birthday. Everyone was dressed up, great tunes, bar staff friendly and as fast as they could be with so many people. Maybe could have done with at least one more bar staff considering it was a sold out event. Otherwise a great night.

R. M.A pretty good intimate music venue for seeing up and coming bands in Cardiff. The bar is pretty lacking sometimes with mixers from large bottles and the like, but it’s all so cheap that it doesn’t really matter. Definitely recommend seeing a band here given the option.

I. F.Some really great gigs at the globe. It's always completely rammed. Alcohol policy is pretty sensible, selling cans etc, and the staff are all professional. It would be great if there was some way of reorganising the balcony or the stairs to let more people see the stage though, as it's usually crazy competitive!

R. P.Fantastic music venue in old theatre with medium capacity so good for smaller, niche and off beat shows. Seen some great bands here and more intimate than bigger venues. Bar doesn't have a huge range but caters for most and isn't a priority. Balcony with seating also available there, highly recommended for a locals place and bit off the beaten track.

M. A.The Globe is a 'no fuss' music venue. Relatively small but a good sized, wide stage meaning the whole crowd is close to the action. Drinks aren't overly priced and plenty of room at the bar.
Toilets have just had a bit of a face lift so not as grim as some music venues can be.
A. Q.The Globe is a great music venue. Being small you almost always have a great veiw of the stage and there is an upstairs balcony above the bar. It's £4.50 for a bottle of real ale, I had a couple of Hobgoblins which were perfectly chilled. Cans of lager and cider are available for £3.50 each or 4 for £12.
Stairs up to the Venue, it's a first floor deal, I have never noticed a lift here. Had a great night there last night enjoying Hayseed Dixie.

c. m.This venue deserves more than a 5 star rating. For such a small and intimate venue, they have world class musicians and singers. With affordable ticket prices and a quality sound system, I defy you to find a better venue. The acts are very up close and personal, being no more than 15 foot from the stage act. They have a balcony, which was being revamped on my last visit, which again is no more than 15-20 feet from the stage. Last act I saw at the Globe: Johnny Winters. The guy showed his years, but what an outstanding performer & yes I bought the t-shirt

G. B.Great venue, shame about the sound. Tip: stand by the mixing desk for the only decent sound. They should really move the desk to the centre of the balcony upstairs. At least, not tucked away in the corner where the acoustics are somewhat unique, and not representative of the main areas.

Intimate venue not a lot of seating for those of us who appreciate great professional acts but who happen to be of a certain age. Could do with air conditioning.

A. G.This is a small music venue with a big heart. It's a standing venue on the lower floor, but there are seats up on the balcony. You have to be in at the front and a good runner to get one of those! Not really accessible for people with mobility issues.

A. V.Great venue! Big stage, easy for the audience to see. Decorated well and established as a venue to see some good bookings. Keep an eye on the gig listings, get down there and have a good time!
B. S.A first floor venue, black ceiling and white walls often standing room only. On 2nd floor there are tables and chairs the public can put out out to sit by the balcony. The loos are a disgrace. Men's I'm told is smelly, Ladies' only 2 cubicles, cold water no soap no drier. No disabled loos. Access steep stairs hand rail 1 side, no assistance available. I've only ever seen 1 wheelchair.
The good bit is wonderful bands, ok acoustics, a reasonable price bar.
A. M.I enjoy going to see gigs at The Globe. Peculiar, small venue, but I've seen some great bands here. Tonight was Great Lake Swimmers. Absolutely brilliant Canadian musicians.
