Reviews of O2 Academy Edinburgh
R. N.
Have been to it 4 or 5 times now for virgin wine tasting. Has been done up since first time where it was more akin to "wipe your feet on the way out". Was impressed with the speakers on the roof but as it was wine tasting they were not on plus was there to get wrecked. So all in all it is a reasonable place. Just wish virgin wines would move the tasting back to The Hub in Edinburgh centre.

Saw Portal crazy golf advertised so went to play crazy golf and then stayed for bowling. crazy golf is pretty cool but holes 14 to 18 are the best in the neon room got a little crowded in the room but was great atmosphere. Holes 1 to 13 had there own themes including, bowling, pool table, pub and stranger things theme, there is also a few spots for photo opportunities along the way. Then onto the bowling which you pay for the hour rather than per game which is great when it's a couple of you but maybe not so much in a larger group, but there is the option for additional hours. At the bowling you get a small screen which you can use to select different themes for the bowling from standard to some games that are completely different and can add some fun to the evening. Bar is good and stocked will. They have some great food and bowling packages which we will definitely be going back for but we're to late in the evening to enjoy this time. Can get busy at peak times but still very enjoyable. I would recommend booking in advance where possible to ensure you get on a lane or to take part in crazy golf. Plenty of parking onsite and bust routes near by. All In all it was a fun filled activity and i would recommend for all ages for any night of the week. Can't wait to go back
L. C.
Nice sized arena. Good stage and sound setup. I like how the bar is tucked away from the general standing area. The foyer is nice and airy.
The only downside is that, even though it was super hot inside, they had the radiators on; I'm not sure if this is to get people to buy more drinks, but it was just too hot.
T. F.
Brilliant night in the company of The Charlatans. Great crowd, easy to grab a beer and even a carpet on the floor. Sound was great. Only complaint was it was sweltering. Need to crank up the air con a bit. Getting some great acts coming up too.
E. T.
Saw the excellent War on Drugs here. The sound isn't the greatest in here (the Barrowlands gig was different level) but then I've experienced far worse. Staff seemed friendly, drink's prices are disgraceful though.
S. B.
Great venue with excellent staff. My daughter recently had a knee operation due to bone cancer and I got in touch with the venue's disability access people who were very helpful the whole way. We had a warm welcome and all the advice we needed on arrival.
R. T.
Great to revisit venue after quite a few years nice to see it getting regular gigs again beer much better now Snuts put on a great show Happy to see the venue kept the white walls
B. W.
Cracking venue. All on one floor. Reasonable facilities. No faff. Plenty of space, with a couple of bar areas. Hideously expensive for a drink, but only to be expected. Sounds terrific.
P. S.
1st visit.Great venue, delt with the Covid stuff really well(new method done well by staff). Kudos to staff in looking after the crowd. So many complacent venues with visibly miserable staff(hard job tho), this was not one. Looking forward to coming back for more gigs.
R. D.
Nice place for concerts, service helpful and accommodating. Shout out to Jim for coming up with solution in time of need Sound systems though might need improving, on occasion it was an unbearable cacophony of noises. Other than than it was an enjoyable evening.
P. G.
No covid check (QR code) and masks not on at all times as stated. Great venue, amazing sound
R. G.
Nice venue with pleasant staff, a good auditorium, plenty of space, and a decent bar. Hopefully more gigs will take place here as Edinburgh needs good alternatives to the too small Liquid Rooms.
H. G.
Great venue for live music. Vintage vibe but great sound and easily accessible
D. R.
Quantity of bars and toilets are good, but the venue itself is pretty soulless. Accoustics weren't great either. Not terrible but I can't see me rushing back to see a gig there.
I. B.
First time in this venue and was pleasantly surprised, I'm pleased it's now part of the O2 academy family as seems to be attracting bigger bands to Edinburgh now, good range of drinks, plenty staff on hand, clear entry and exits available, good acoustics without being overly loud, look forward to coming to other gigs here again soon.
R. H.
The place was fab the staff were really good the venue was spotless even the toilets were fine but the only thing is the bar people said that it's to expensive otherwise really good place for a gig or concert etc
J. M.
Lovely venue and a great ngt but did not have irn bru for mixer so asked for pink gin no pink gin either very disappointing for such a large venue.
G. S.
Great venue and fantastic gig #thewarondrugs
A. G.
Expensive bar, but wonderful live music venue, great sound and you dont need screens to see the band!
G. m.
At Gary numan gig sound was great
Good to be at gigs again especially in Edinburgh
Only gripe is drinks are expensive in plastic glasses
Hopefully this will prove to be a great venue for gig goers🤟🤟
D. t. c. 1.
Great venue, rather warm. Very polite bar staff :)
W. L.
Went to the vegan festival, nice wee venue, decent bar too.
D. H.
Fab day out, very organised, nice relaxing atmosphere. Lots to try, came home with a lot of Xmas extras would definitely go bk plus enjoyed the presentations and even got a sneaky pic lol 😁😁
C. S.
Great venue, always had great gigs when I’ve been there. Really good set up. Under 5 quid for a pint is always a bonus. Security are always top notch when I’ve been. Even got a gif of the big guy who searched me 😂
M.
Best place to see live performances. Highly recommend. Amazing vibes and staff is always really nice as well. Go to place for any events 👌👌
L. C.
Great venue to see bands play and plenty of space. Very covid safe. Well done
T. M.
Great small pitches. One can keep dry from the elements whilst watching (and playing), yet it's open to air.
S. C.
Was here for the Edinburgh Yarn Festival. Great venue, except why is the disabled toilet up 7 steps? Staff happy to give you access to a lift but still...
J. C.
Good views, a large room, and good acoustics. I'm looking forward to attending more events here.
M. N. M. N.
Nice place for concerts. Good route for buses and there is a super store next door.
M. L.
Great live venue, parking around venue pretty poor, but transport links good
J. R.
Great day at the Sci fi Con. Have visited here a number of times for concerts, exhibitions and a wedding reception. Staff are approachable and friendly and the venue is a great size.
W. L.
Amazing venue jake bugg was awesome staff great so friendly and helpful will definitely be back
Thanks
B. F.
Great venue, clean, excellent security staff, had a great night!
S. G.
A great venue. Improved sound and lighting since it became an O2 academy.
A. D.
Edinburgh sci fi con at the corn exchange 4/2/2018 Was a great day .great play e for your events or weddings 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
E. B.
Minigolf was so funny, good value for The money you spend👏👏
G. D.
Came here for the ten-pin bowling. Very reasonable. £20 for the hour for 3 of us. Different games to choose from, staff are friendly too 👍
S. A.
Great place for exhibiting. We were working there for a wedding show. Great atmosphere, helpful staff. Got a bit on the warm side where we were, but I guess there was a lot of people there.
J. B.
Went for the Gin fest, was laid out good with a great selection.
S. C.
Enjoying the vibes at the Festival of the dead...Rock by candlelight.
E. V.
Great venue! Quite a lot of room, excellent sound. Bar and limited food available as well
K. p.
Nice place to enjoy with family. Bowling, mini golf, etc...
D. M.
Great bowling fun. Helpful staff. Top tip. Book online. I discovered (too late) that it is much cheaper (£15 per hour vs £25) than paying the walk in price!
K. C.
Rebranded as O2 Academy. Many more bands now appearing.
We enjoyed Fontaines DC on this occasion. Sound was really good. The whole entry thing with covid regs etc seemed to work well.
D. B.
It was a lovely venue and the bar staff were also really lovely and friendly. Thanks for a wonderful evening!
m. h.
Good venue, with great staff. Have seen a number of great bands here over the years
S. M. (.
Went to see Chic/Nile Rodgers and was an amazing show. I went with a friend (who is in a wheelchair) and the staff were great; very welcoming and attentive.
G. O.
Staff were incredibly helpful getting me a seated area to watch Rag n Bone Man, so grateful as without that I would not have been able to attend 😊
J. S.
Very good venue. Situated outside the centre of Edinburgh makes it easy to get to by car or public transport.
RAIL- Slateford Railway Station is a short distance away and served by regular Scotrail services from Waverley and Haymarket in one direction and Glasgow Central in the other. BUS - Lothian Transport no 35 buses (Heriot Watt in one direction, Ocean Terminal in the other) pass the front door every few minutes. Other regular services (3, X22) serve Gorgie Road which is only a short walk away, and buses to/from Balerno serve Slateford Road as well. Plenty car parking space in the roads around the venue which provide easy access to/from the Edinburgh City by-pass (A720) and the M8/M9/M90 motorways. Lots of big shops nearby as well for food and drink prior to going in because food and drink within the venue is pretty pricey. There's a pub next door as well. Very good all round, and we'll worth a visit.
J. W.
While drinks are expensive the staff are very kind. During the Yungblud concert my girlfriend went through a panic attack and the response from the staff and medical team was phenomenal!
E. P.
The venue is good, the parking facilities aren't. Be prepared to have some extra time to find a space when it is busy.
C. M.
I was very disappointed with testing at venue on 21st of September, we were behind a couple in queue who hadn't taken test, a efficient member of staff gave them both test to do and advised to log these on government site. further on as we got near the entrance to gig. they were Again advised by a staff member. to log results to gain entry They then totally disregarded advice, I was shocked that staff at door accepted the 2 tests strips and allowed them access while others who did test on 02 site waited and logged results , putting thousands at risk I spent 4 hours in venue wearing a mask to protect myself and vulnerable adults and colleagues I work with, while these 2 could have put thousands of people at risk
VERY DISAPPOINTED
CAROLE
G. D.
Good venue. First time there since o2 took it over. Alot fresher and cleaner. Good acoustics.
F. A.
Fantastic venue! Great public. Rum and Reggae Festival absolutely sold out! Can't wait to do it again next year...
G. D.
Very good quality football pitches (5-a-side, 7-a-side).
Bar area has a nice and friendly atmosphere, TVs showing live football.
Plenty of parking spaces.
K. P.
Large venue used for many purposes.
Not ideal for live music, unless you have lots of people there.
There are also lots of smaller rooms available for hire too
M. W.
Great venue that should be utilized more, beer prices were a bit steep though!!
S. F. (. S.
We volunteered at Sci fi con. Brilliant place with disabled access and toilet. A changing places would be a great idea though if it could be arranged
D. Y.
We were there to see Craig Hill, very funny man, the venue tried very hard to make everyones night a success in difficult times, we all had to do lateral flow tests and bwear masks going in but it vwas done with minimum fuss and they catered for the numpties that hadnt done it beforehand. well done the Corn exchange. Drinks at your seat via the QR code well done.
J. C.
Great venue for special dinner for a special man.
T. G.
Good sounding, well laid out.
G. H.
Went for Edinburgh Gin Festival - well organised but not enough seating though probably not the actual Corn Exchange's fault, lovely venue, loads of toilets so no queueing!
j. l.
Great night fantastic venue great staff.
C. W.
Fab time loved it more than the kids x
A. S.
Great venue. Very responsible staff. Felt very safe for my group of 15 year olds at their first concert!
D. H.
Great, spacious venue and easily accessed by Lothian bus services 4, 34, 35, 44 or by train to Slateford railway station.
W. B.
Feel like they deserve 5 stars since so many people seem to review them as the bowling/football and not the actual conference center it is.
J. A.
Nice food,
Friendly staff,
Very clean
K. P.
visited here with our grandchildren, loads of hands on child friendly activities, very nice staff, lovely cafe, push chair friendly. Great day out.
M. C.
Great venue for Sci-fi Con 2020
P. N.
Great venue
Excellent facilities
B. Z.
A decent and roomy venue for a range of functions that can use the open space, still has that bare utility atmosphere of a meat processing facility but very well served for transport links into town or even the airport. Never a disappointing location to be booked into with the added bonus that whatever shenanigans you may be prone to later on in the evening the security they usually have will have consumed all the pies and be hard pressed to catch a cold let alone the blur that your arse retains the capacity to be.
L. P.
Crowded n no show of any covid restrictions but bangin nite wi great staff n security 👍😘
T. M.
Great venue! Easy to find, big bar. The cloakroom situation isn't great though!
S. H.
Went to see Craig Hill last Friday. Great night well, organised and friendly staff. Fast seat service for drinks. Covid restrictions in place
L. F.
Great venue, first timer so wasn't sure what to expect. Pass marks on all counts.
J. B.
A very late review, should’ve done this sooner. My dad and I were here for the first ever tattoo convention. A great venue without any problems at all. Was served to food and drinks within 5 minutes. The building was well air conditioned. Plenty of artists to see. The entertainment at night was great. Music was awesome. I got another tattoo done by my Polynesian friends, an add on to the tattoo that they done on my right leg at a convention in Aberdeen. An enjoyable day/night it was. It was worth the wait, and worth the money.
h. b.
1st time here for live music, great venue, staff very efficient and helpful , had a great night .
A. F.
It's not to bad to play a game of football. It's not the worst l have played at.
It good to be with other people it is something to look forward to having a game at footy ⚽️👍
A. H.
I don't know if it's always this way but we got there about 20 minutes after the site opened and the queue was enormous. Literally queued around the building and beyond.
The venue itself is incredible. The sound is fantastic, easily the best I've experienced (I'm comparing it to the Hydro and The Picture house).
The only issue we had was that it was so packed that it was a struggle to get a good vantage point.
It's also REALLY warm in there. If you get there early and are in the middle of all the bodies, you may well overheat so be warned (people were being taken out by security having passed out)
C. C.
Nice venue, friendly staff
K. R.
Very nice place to have events. suitable for holding any sort of social event like wedding party, fund raising charitable event, marketing/ promotional event.Excellent facilities at competitive price. Not far from city centre and Free parking is also available.
E. T.
Pretty good gig venue. Only issue is the distance from the city centre.
B. S. c.
Every event I've been here it has been great, from the coffee expo to sci fi con. All staff are always pleasant, the facilities are always clean. I've never used the bar, so have no idea on pricing, but looks ok. Will go again. .obviously...
A. R.
Place itself looks the part, decent prices on the cheaper end of the scale and worth a visit, great for watching footy.
Lost stars as the pipes were in need of cleaning giving the beer a slight hint of being off. Come across that before here so I think their cleaning regime needs to be a bit more frequent - they do have a LOT of taps mind!
A. D.
Great place for live music
G. F.
Tom Grennan gig was awesome, venue good. Needed more bar staff🙏
G. S.
We had a great day bowling. Had a slight incident that the manager got involved in and sorted out.
L. C.
Great place for venues! Went there for the annual Edinburgh Yarn Fest and it was much fun. The space felt a little confined for all the stalls present but everyone was able to move around well. The staff were friendly and helpful.
K. B.
I am corn farmer, I own at least 40% of corn fields in Scotland and another 18% of fields in the united states. When I heard about the corn exchange I was delighted. I had let the other corn tycoons know about it and we had our first annual corn exchange on the premises on June 11th. National Corn Day. It was a supreme success. The staff were lovely and helped a lot with the event, the venue was spotless and over all, I had a great time.
Not once in my life have I ever exchanged so much corn, if not for this venue I would have gone bankrupt last year. Once again many thanks to the venue and staff. Lovely people. Five Stars, would recommend for corn exchanging activities.
M. S.
Spacious facility with well-lit rooms of varying sizes. Staff was superb for both food/beverage service and general activities. Attended an urban knitting festival here (Edinburgh Yarn Festival) and spent 4 days in the main and adjunct rooms. I would definitely attend another event here.
B. H.
It is indeed a big hall, but with some clever (black) lighting it felt cozy enough.
There was only one bar in the main hall, which required 3 deep queuing, but the staff was efficient and not too flustered.
They were fine refilling the water jugs that were present on every table. Cleaning the glassware was done regularly.
The show was good from any angle. Sound was loud enough and no dead spots.
S. C.
Went to a Christmas party here, everything was perfectly organised, the food was excellent, the bar is long in a separate room so easily coped with the hundreds of people attending. There were plenty of toilets so no queuing. The entertainment was great so people up dancing til 1am a great venue for a party night.
L. M.
Had a great night at Chvrches gig
C. H.
Edinburgh Yarn Festival was amazing - the corn exchange was a great venue and the staff were really helpful.
A. Y.
Fantastic Daniel Sloss fringe event, the whole organisation was great in these Covid times, and above all Daniel was sooooooo funny. Highly recommend.
M. W.
Lovely venue. Easy to get to with car. Great evening at the Fringe comedy.
S. A.
Great venue
M. P.
Venue it self pleasant, however there is very limited parking. They need to limit the size of there events to the capacity of the building. Had to wait outside for an hour for a yarn event, in the rain , following driving around for 1/4 hour looking for parking.
I. M.
Good venue for a function/party. Was here earlier in 2013 for a launch night for a charity. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Also good disabled access. Free local parking near by too which is always a bonus. Good wedding venue also I have heard.
S. f. A.
Went for the Edinburgh Yarn Festival over two days the staff were pleasant, space was well organized and the ladies' loos stayed clean throughout. Colour me very impressed. The catering was also particularly good. A great experience.
K. M.
Great night at the corn exchange Christmas party night
k. S.
went along to the wedding fayre walked into the Baron Suite and fell in love with it so thanks to the extremely helpful staff we have booked here for our vow renewal service next year.
They are so accommodating nothing is to much for them it's our day and they want everything as we want it. First class service
M. B.
First time at the Corn Exchange for the Scottish Beer Awards. Food was fantastic especially as it was paired with some great beers. The venue lends itself easily to large dinners and was well set up in terms of service, space and sound. I would go to an event here again.
G. R.
We went here for the Capital SciFi Con. It was a small choice for a relatively fun packed event with people in their character costumes. The place has a large enough hall that can be used for small concerts or any exhibitions and medium sized hall for a more intimate gatherings or events. It has a cafe too if anyone gets hungry or 'beer'sty during the event. It also has easy access public toilets inside.
C. W.
Great venue. Really good for everything
G. S.
We held our wedding vow renewal here. Had the most amazing night ever helped by the very very attentive staff. Service was unbeatable. Highly recommend for any event.
d. m.
The best Christmas night out ever, live music, live entertainment and a great time with the colleagues.
The also hold multiple event such as cheese festival and wedding fairs really good and organise place.
T. C.
Got all these covid rules on their website but they allow folk to take them off as soon as they enter and there is no one asking people to put them on at anytime. Pretty poor.
H. A.
Excellent venue. Great bar, beers to your seat!
M. C.
The Deadmau5 gig was great but we were still queuing outside the venue whilst the support act was on (not good). The queue at the bar was massive but the tills were broken so it wasn't really their fault and I don't think it's that bad all the time. Good music and we still really enjoyed our night.
T. B.
Have been here a few times for a night out, bawling with the wee one and on this occasion I took the wee one to a wrestling show for her birthday ( her choice promise but I was not complaining lol). Bawling is awesome and priced competitively. The place were the wrestling show was awesome for this kind of event and it would make a great venue for a birthday/ wedding reception.
P. C.
One of the best venues of Edinburgh and in a very historic building. I had my work's Xmas party there and it was great. Also been there to a few concerts and enjoyed the experience every time. The only bad thing is that it is a bit far from the city centre... But well connected by bus ;)
J. A.
Awesome evening at the rock orchestra!
A. B. (.
Cool venue. Attended a big university event here with live music, food and drinks. Great for accomodating huge amounts of people. Drinks are quite expensive however. Facilities and staff are great however.
M. C.
Great place. I play crazy golf with my grandson there on a Saturday morning.
Great atmosphere in the place and wonderful, friendly and efficient staff.
Thanks
U. A.
Great venue especially for large events. They also have a smaller venue too which is great. Fantastic service from staff and facilities. However is expensive but worth it for what they offer.
W. W.
I have been in this place years ago but my recent visit seen it all boarded up due to corona. The pub is still open and very busy with the locals. Pictures have been added
Please like my reviews and photos thanks
N. S.
Great venue nice and big
I. R.
Good size venue for gigs but my god the bar queues and prices are atrocious.
D.
Great venue , spacious and comfortable .Saw Chris Packham and Paul Goldstein talking about wildlife photography amongst other things . They auctioned off photos to raise money to save the Tiger, watch out for a man running in a tiger suit ,it will be Paul!
s. j.
My son enjoyed his best friend's birthday party in World of Bowling.
w. b. T.
Very entertaining lots to do and fun for the family. And I have slept on it and coz it is a great family place and always good Vibes. And always entertaining with a good atmosphere and plus my daughter loves it so 10/10 Highly recommended
M. J.
It was ok. Bowling was cheaper there than other places in Edinburgh but it was not that good. The floor was not that smooth but we had a good time as we got plenty of time to play there. It was crowded.
R. H.
Great night had by all.
D. A.
I was there as an exhibitor for the Capital Sci-fi. Great venue. Really helpful staff. Can't knock it at all. Highly recommended, for both guests and exhibitors, all were looked after perfectly.
A. B.
Nothing special. Claims made on website about being the biggest and best just set it up for disappointment. Were able to have a couple of games. Bit of delay / confusion to get us started (I think they had a new person who forgot us). "Meal deal" was not a deal. Just ended up with a plain cheese pizza when I'd rather have paid a tiny bit more and had toppings.
Probably wouldn't rush back here.
L. G.
First time in here for concert really enjoyed the venue
J. T.
It was fine for myself and a friend, but I feel that they would use the space better if made a tad smaller and use the larger space for bands or theatre companies, we enjoyed our evening although we only had a few drinks, but we thought that was the perfect place for a night out with a good few friends and family, friendly staff and a good mix of local drinkers and others who had just drifted in
M. S.
A well run concert hall with friendly staff.
A. B.
Bowling here is great! They have a couple of arcade games and a bar to order food and drink at.
It gets quite busy and is worth booking ahead.
P. W.
Despite Covid 19 restrictions, I was never asked to show my Covid passport.
L. M.
Very disappointed. After a good year harvesting my crops and a three hour horse ride with my son, Cletus, the name is very misleading. Couldn't exchange my corn for anything.
Burns night is pretty good fun, though!
M. P.
Daniel Sloss gig was great. Everyone around the venue very helpful.
D. Y.
I visited the Corn Exchange for an actor's convention...
This was the perfect space for conferences like this. Booths and stages were set up in the large function hall and the smaller rooms had things like lectures and areas to connect to online job searches.
The little cafe managed to keep me going throughout the day and I had a lovely day out.
h.
We went here due to greenside being closed. Don't come to Edinburgh all the time but a good car boot was always guaranteed at greenside including in winter. Have been to corn exchange a few times before. Its a small car boot but as usual you just need one good car and I got what I was looking for from that car. So was good when there could have been nothing.
S. S.
Went to see Daniel Sloss here. Really nice big venue
B. S.
Perfect afternoon spent here on sat! So nice to get a bit normality back after months of drinking cans at home! Many thanks to Ricky and the staff 🍺
N. K.
It's an event arena so your experience will probably depend on what you attend.
I've attended a few gigs, a few beer festivals, and a student union ball here, venue was always fine.
V. W.
It's hardly in town, and, apart from Asda, there's not much by the way of distraction other than the venue itself!
R. B.
Large pub, bright, lots of chesterfield sofas low cost beer. Great songs playing on the juke box during our visit. Bit of a music venue.
T. H.
Too many people for the event crushed and if there's been a fire 🔥 a lot of people would be
A. G.
Fantastic venue. We had our works Dinner Dance here, would highly recommend for functions, food was fantastic. Service was great thank you for an amazing night. 😁 x
C. K.
Amazing christmas function. 3 acts provided (tina turner tribute, very funny singing waiters and 3 sister act who did full abba tribute as well as other songs) as well as a great disco, free face and body painting, separate cocktail bar, photo booth, mini casino and separate karaoke.
H.
Snooker and pool facilities aren't the best but it lots of other things as well so probably not for the purist player out there. Has a decent bar and staff generally friendly.
B. R.
We were there for the Gin Festival - it was absolutely mobbed but it was a good event worth doing at least once. You get a free drink but each drink there after is £5 so it can be an expensive night.
M. W.
Very cheap bowling compared to competitors. But the mechanics often seem to let it down, with balls getting stuck, the computer not working, and disinterested staff. Can be great for a cheap game, when everything works, but otherwise not so great.
M.
Pretty good, but they really should get a cashpoint installed as they hosts lot of fairs, but the wireless connection is quite poor, meaning a lot of sellers can't take cards
S. R.
A wide variety of events earn this venue a high rating. Would be 5* but it is let down on amenities. To be expected, I suppose, in such an agglomeration of old buildings.
J. M.
Arrived timeously @organised function with approx.600 others.Serious delay in starting-cause unknown. This was compounded by an inordinate delay between the 4 courses-again cause unknown.Purchasing refreshment was rendered difficult because the waiting staff could only procure drinks by means of ipads & due to some glitch these ceased to operate for prolonged period(s).Therefore,in addition to apparent inordinate delay in serving food, there was a similar- but not as serious- delay in obtaining alcohol etc.
Quality of food -when we eventually received it - was superb & staff courteous & attentive.Function was tonight Thursday 28 November.😐
J.
Felt there were rather a lot of people in the crazy golf and it was not as enjoyable as it should have been
M. S.
Attended my Heriot-Watt University Graduation Ball on 17th May 2018. The whole experience provided by the Corn Exchange was fantastic. The staff, the ambience, the food and entertainment was first class. Brilliant night and five stars all the way.
E. G.
I have only went to 2 concerts at this venue due to the fact that hardly any of my favourite bands / singers come to Edinburgh. I was lucky enough to see All Time Low ( August 25th, 2015 ) & Bring Me The Horizon ( November 25th, 2015 ). The venue is very close to where I live which was good so I didn't have to do much travel whereas if I go to a Glasgow concert or elsewhere it would take me some time to get there and home meaning I'd have to leave the concert early to get the last train back to Edinburgh. The venue itself is quite small which was amazing for these bands I saw. However, the drinks are expensive / over-priced at £4.50 for a glass of water. The staff were friendly and the concerts were amazing and I hope more of my favourite bands / singers perform at this venue more often 😀

CHVRCHES gig in 2022 slapped hard
J. N. C.
Had the best time ever at the charity comic convention for CHAS with Peter Capaldi,Warwicke Davis and Peter Davison as well as many others giving their all signing autographs and donating the money they earned to CHAS. Good setting with loadsa room for hero costumed antics.
M. L.
Staff were efficient, there was water available for free all through the performance. Only downside is that there is no air conditioning so it got incredibly hot during the performance.
F. C.
Was a lovely venue for our ball, drinks were reasonably priced (cheaper that I thought it would be) and the food was amazing and very hight quality for serving over 600 people
D.
Very good exhibition place and although weird a very nice building to work in. Not as large as some of the other exhibition buildings but very good still. Client was happy that's all that counts in my books.
N. I.
cracking venue and very helpful staff. I ran to the conference being held in th Exchange from my hotel and they kindly opened the changing rooms so that I could get showered and changed before the conference started.
R. B.
If you are happy to stand for 5 hours then a nice place.
G. S.
Nice venue for a concert.
G. B.
Just as good as anywhere else for bowling really, but better value for money. Only thing to let it down was being a little short staffed and having to wait to be served.
N. C.
Was pleasantly surprised, it's set out so there lots of space, self service was the best pint, I enjoyed my time there.
M. J.
Excellent venue for conferences and also festivals such as the annual Gin Festival. Areas of the venue could do with some upgrading and modernisation but it doesn't draw down on the experience too much!
K. D.
Good venue that is accessable by car and without parking hassles. Great for functions during the day and has lots of services within such as cafe and bar.
K. T.

Visiting the Scottish tattoo convention to get tattooed. Plenty of parking, whether on the street or in the car park to the rear. Very easy to get to using public transport as certain Lothian buses go right past the entrance
N. B.
Went to see Hot Dub Time Machine. It was hot and sweaty, even with the extra air-con. Plenty of bar areas on that night. Some well hidden to quiet, compared to the ones nearest to the main action.
J. C.
Outstanding venue and all of the staff are a dream to deal with. Clients have been going here year on year and do not want to move due to the excellent service they receive, highly recommended.
K. L.
Great venue with fantastic staff for their Christmas party nights. Such a great mix of dancing, singing and fun for all groups attending.
J. P.
Historic building converted into exhibition & conferencing centre, but sometimes also concert venue. No parking, and a bit awkward to reach, but there is a regular bus service to/from city centre.
C. m.

The Edinburgh Corn Exchange is a quality venue whatever the occasion. They have different sized rooms so whether you're having a birthday party, a wedding, a beer festival or a concert it's got the right room for you.
S. D.
I visit Scottish tattoo convention with family and it was great event. Shame that there was almost no food options, no cash machine on promises almost no space on front of scene

S. B.
Good venue, lots of places to get food, plenty of toilets, very limited parking. Public transport links are good, however.
T. N.
It's big, real big. Too big? Too big for me, sound system wasn't great, but not sure whether that was the venue or the night. Good outdoor area for smoking.
E. C.
Friendly staff, good bar and just all round a good experience. Relatively easy to get to via public transport.. train, bus and taxi reasonably priced
J. M.
My three year old grandson goes to a football shool once a week there, the facilities are excellent and its well used by adults and five a side teams
S. B.
Decent venue. I attended the Edinburgh Yarn Festival there and it was quite competently run. A bit on the small side for truly large events.

Good local venue and hosts live music. The main hall could do with more ladies toilets but good other than that.
P. M.
