First night out since the start of the pandemic and had a great night. Great band and the sound was stop on. I was a bit on edge as so many people were crammed together (no social distancing) and most had their masks off. Plenty of bar staff on but still difficult to get back from the bar. A great night but got covid that weekend.

Been to this venue a few times and it is one of my favourite venues.

Bought tickets for an event but had to queue with everyone else for hours to get in. What’s the point in buying a ticket if we have to queue for hours anyway? Terrible customer experience. Not sure what it’s like as a music venue but don’t recommend for a club night.
C. D.
Nightvision. The queue to get in was far too long wrapping round the street it took over an hour, Also had to wait 40 mins to get a drink very expensive too. Not enough bar staff some getting served almost straight away. Music was great but the night was ruined by the long long waits.

Saw the Amazon's here.. And Frank Carter at another gig. (pre covid) proper venue... Utterly intimate and good sound. The artists feel like they are in touch with you, and you feel you can reach out and touch them.... In other words they can bring their music alive....not for the claustrophobic, absolutely for those who want to experience every note. Reminds me of legendary venues I went too ifrom the late 80s and early 90s in London... All energy... All. About. The. Music.

One of the best clubs in Edinburgh. It may seem expensive to get in, but the place had a great DJ, was very clean & not too rammed full.

I'm giving all 5 of these stars to Victor, the Gent's toilet attendant, who is an absolute legend. "No Dolce Galbana, no suckin your banana", no Armani no punanni" This guy needs a pay rise

Spacious place for events such as concerts, very nice staff with a bar garden outside

My friend and I had heard lots of good things about this place so where quite excited to go. We went probably around 12:30 on a Saturday night (technically Sunday morning) and were really surprised how dead it was. The bar staff couldn’t have been nicer, they were so lovely and chatty and a good laugh. It was quite an older crowd the night we went let’s just say my friend and I brought the average age down. We were approached by two creepy older men that kept telling us to take our jackets off and offering to buy us drinks. One of them gave us money, and we were just going to buy him a drink and leave when a women who worked at the Liquid Room came up to us and said she saw the men were bothering us and that she could speak to them if we wanted her to. Honestly, it’s people like that that give me faith in humanity! If this woman ever reads this, thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!! So basically, good review of the venue and staff and everything, just wasn’t great atmosphere wise, but maybe we just went on a dead night.
EDIT: okay, I am now coming back to this about 3ish months later having just had another night out at the Liquid Rooms and it was AMAZING! It was a night run by Propaganda and played rock music (more my personal taste). Much more young people, and overall just a better night! Really goes to show you that it just depends on the crowd

Amazing venue to see amazing bands - New Model Army
G. G.
Small venue for concerts, the lights will blind you in the front row, I stayed in the balcony and had a great view
E. K.
Haven’t got in yet but our friend Saul the bouncer was amazing thank you so much!!!!!
J. S.
Great venue, small enough to be intimate but good size

Really good place .. been 4 times and never had a bit of hassle no heavy handed bouncers .no people throwing beer its 6 pound a pint maybe thats why.. never ever felt un easy . Great staff great band goodbye mrmackenzie.. its a smaller barrowlands good old venue non of this posh looking nonsense. Very good stage lights .good seats standing and good exits to get in and out . Door men first class they treat you with upmost respect and don't decide to go through your wallets and wife's bag unlike the 02 in Glasgow utter rubbish door men and women . Felt very comfortable was in the city with wife had a few pints and never did the door folk start the you've had too much lark.. nothing but praise in fact there so nice i was thinking they would buy folk chips from the great chip shop next door... must see venue and if you get hassle you really must be out of order as the staff look out for you rather look all night at you.. they have a great set up very proud to be Scottish when i see nice people in there... pat on the back liquid dreams if you ask me

Fantastic intimate venue for a gig. Great sound. Decent drink prices. Good location.

Great venue for music and entertainment

Great venue in Edinburgh city centre for gigs and club nights. I recommend Propaganda on a Friday night - good music and cheap drink deals. The beer garden outside is a plus. I really like the layout for gigs - there is a balcony upstairs but it still feels intimate.

I popped in here for a concert from Kate Nash I won off the radio.
I was surprised how intimate the venue was for a bigger performer... it was pretty amazing to be as close to the artists, although so was everyone else... It was super-hot in there and I'm pretty small height-wise, so had to try to get to an area where I could even see the stage. Nonetheless... It was a pretty cool venue. Cushy seats if you can manage to get them!
I. B.
Love this venue, I get the feeling performers like it too, it's a good size, very professional set up good stage height good lighting great sound and acoustics, pleasant staff, city centre location

Visited a few times post lockdown and its my go to. Warm, great atmosphere, friendly staff and good music !! Can't wait to get back to some gigs here, thank you guys!

Big place and beautiful place, i like the garden with the electric heating outside and bar is very good idea and cozy for smokers, BUT guys do something with the music and that dancer guy was disgusting 🤢, bring a sexy woman on the stage and put some more like natural music, remixes of songs and not only electronic music because i would like to dance with my girlfriend, not only to jump. The quality of sound is good, i like the bass, probably the single club which one i been in Scotland and the quality of the sound is really good, i am from Romania and there the music is much louder and the bass is shaking all of your drinks in stomach.

Went the to see a Free Fringe show.
It is usually a'night club' so that explains the woefully inadequate availability of any real ale at the bar. The staff I spoke to, however, were very helpfuland pleasant. So that helped the star rating back up.

Possibly my favourite nightclub in Edinburgh.
It still keeps a certain amount of dingy-ness for it to keep its character and the layout of the place is great for DJ’s and for watching live bands.
They’ve now got two rooms as well so if you fancy a change of tack then you can go downstairs and see what’s happening there.
The piece de resistance though has to be the smoking area. I don’t smoke but I probably spend most of my time here whenever I go, especially if it’s a warm night.
Loads of different nights available to suit different tastes and regularly has decent bands playing.
Cannot recommend this place enough.

Great venue Saw Miles Kane there.

Located the heart of the old town, Liquid rooms is the perfect spot for a night out with people that are really out for a good time. The drinks are cheap, the music is catchy and loud plus the club is big enough for you not to be surrounded by people dancing due to the sheer size of the club.
D. G.
Great music venue. Well stocked, easily accessible bar.
G. D.
Saw a festival fringe gig here which was ace. The outside space is really good with bar and covered seating and there are lots of little rooms but the venue is hotter than hades and smells rank/toilets
C. M.
OK music venue no the best view if upstairs and one back as you'll no see alot, bit crowded downstairs if gig sold out, good bar prices, and stewarding, good sound system,
P. G.
It's a so-so club that opens up during the Fringe (using its Annex) for comedy shows. If the music they are offering is your thing then you'll probably have fun. If not you'll probably find many faults with it.
C. K.
Great gig venue with fantastic sound. Staff are attentive and have dealt with our needs as disabled patrons very well in the past even with all the stairs in this typical Edinburgh building :)
C. S. (.
Edinburgh's best venue for gigs and club night the sound and lighting is top to none and delivery the crisp sound and the lighting visuals. Many of great night been had here and better ones to come...
J. C.
It's a great place for a night out. Good music, good people, huge heated smoking area outside with its own bar! I'm taking one star away for queuing times.
B. G.

Went to clubland Live really enjoyed the music but it was over crowded couldn't hardly move and trying to get served at the bar was a joke I don't think I would go back in😡
T. G.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The layout of the venue is very good for both gigs and club nights.
O. G.
Went there many times as a student. Music is super load. The crowd really depends on the night/music. Had great and not so great nights there.
H. A.
Great atmosphere and venue as I attended the event I am a raver last night with my boyfriend we came out with £50 and the price's of the drink are absolutely ridiculous £4.50 for a spirit mixer is absolutely jokes such ashame aswell as it is a great venue just the prices for drinks are such a let down defo needs sorted pronto
J.
It's always either the best night ever and you dance till 4 am or the music is absolute trash and you leave as soon as you arrive.
K. S.
it's great if there is a concert taking place. It's really rubbish if it's just the pop music...expensive drinks and music/people are really not that great
G. J.
Good gig venue, although it has a pretty poor selection of beer. Not great as a nightclub.
T. M.
One of the few venues in Edinburgh that brings in some good live acts. Great, spacious venue.
J. M.
Only went during the day as a Fringe Venue, but for a dingy looking club, it was surprisingly cool and airy inside.
S. B.

Best place to go for a gig ... It has a brilliant atmosphere here
C. R.
They need more seats in here, and it takes ages to get out at the end of a gig due to the narrow staircase.
K. G.

Everyone's an expert
K. R.
Good venue
H. E.
Its a really great concert venue, good sound and a cozy tucked away place if you're seeing a smaller band!
As a club venue however, it does lack the same charm. Every other place you go, someone is trying to sell you something and the music is alright if you're into 2010s stuff. Just not for me though.
