Tom and his band put on an excellent show with a good mix of Tom's new solo material and past Kasabian hits.
I liked the venue the sound was excellent but I felt The Garage was too small a venue for an artist like Tom Mighan, he could have filled the Barrowlands!
A. R. S.Best place to vibe out with friends on a weekend but its open on all 7 days a week. Drinks are of pretty good and friendly rate. They even click your pictures. There is a staff who do face painting, if you want u can do it. The entry charge there was £7. The garage has 2 party halls when we went so you can switch to any if you find the songs good in any of it.

S. J.We've never had trouble getting in but there's always been something happening here to mess up gigs, for us then to be quickly kicked out for their student nights. We've gotten to the point where if there's another convenient tour date at an alternative venue we go there instead. Shame really as we always used to love coming here years ago.

J. P.Just wanted to write a review specifically for Jaz the security guard! Just want to say a big thank you for making us feel super safe and informing us about procedures. There was an incident where myself and friends felt uncomfortable and after telling him he sorted it straight away! There was a younger guy who wasn’t the nicest that’s why the 4 stars
Z. H.A friend and I went to see Arion, Brothers of Metal, and Gloryhammer. The security staff were friendly and approachable, and even notified us we were allowed to vape inside so we didn't have to stand in the rain. Saw one guy took a bump to the noggin and they took care of him and kept checking on him. Bar staff were great, they seemed to be making a mental note of who got to the bar when. I think my only gripe, was as somebody with reduced mobility I had managed to climb the multitude of stairs, but when I needed the loo it was a mission, and there was about 20 of us women lined up to use the 1 hand dryer as there were no paper towels, even at the beginning of the night. 100% looking forward to next gig here though

E. T.Been a long time since I attended a club night here but in my younger days it was a favourite. Visits now are for gigs. Good little venue. Even if your at the back of the room you'll have a great view of the stage.
M. B.We were assisted by a lovely Hayley to book a booth for the Saturday club night to celebrate an engagement. The booths are in an area called The Balcony and it's quite an apt name because you get a nice view of the packed out dancefloor below.
My only quibble and hence the four stars was the early closure of the Hip Hop and RnB room. That was quite frustrating as it's our favourite genre.
We also met several clubbers inside and they were good natured and friendly.

A. M.This is one of my absolute favorite places on the face of the Earth. I have countless photos and memories of great times here. I studied abroad to Glasgow back in 2018 and I made my way to the Garage one night during one of my first weeks there. You can believe it was not the only time I made it there. I went back for the face paint, the bouncy castle, the glow stick parties, the foam party, new people, the drinks, etc. The entire atmosphere is all around incredible and always a great time! I loved it so much I trekked through the huge snowstorm that came that year with my friends because we could always count on the Garage staying open through everything. I am so happy to see that the Garage has made it through the troubles of the pandemic and is starting to re-emerge. I will definitely love to make a trip back there one day! If you are in the area and you don’t take a trip to the Garage you’re truly missing out! 20/10 recommend! Have a rocket fuel for me & let the good times roll!

J. P.Nowhere quite like it for a Thursday night! You really can’t beat having a bouncy castle and beer pong in a nightclub, people just go mental for them. If you’re looking for a good time on a Thursday night, get yourself down to Garage!

C. F.As an American who travels frequently to the UK, I ALWAYS recommend Glasgow to my female friends who ask about safe places to travel on their own. In this review, I will specifically talk about The Garage. While in Glasgow in December, I was dragged here by some acquaintances much younger than I after a few drinks and the words "bouncy castle." I was somewhat embarrassed to find it is DEFINITELY a club, and I was certainly the eldest person there who wasn't working. I volunteered to watch the coats/bags/drinks for my young companions so that they could dance and have young people larks. I enjoyed myself people watching and fooling about on my phone. However, after a couple of hours, I needed a slash, and I stuck my phone in my back pocket and made my way through the dancers toward the loos. Halfway there I felt a tug, but I didn't think anything of it until I reached the stall and went to remove my phone from my pocket and place it on the roll holder, only to find my pocket empty. I immediately reported the theft to my friends and they helped my alert the club staff. I was quite disheartened, assuming that my phone was gone forever. However, the next morning I was contacted by The Garage--they'd done a bag check on every person leaving after I'd spoken with them, and had found the person with my phone! They seemed rather apologetic about just telling him to get lost rather than getting his information for me, but I didn't care--kids do dumb things when alcohol is involved, and all I wanted was my phone, which I collected later that day. The Garage went above and beyond, but hey, that's pretty typical of Glasgow. x
S. B.Recently went on a night with the girls, bouncers were very helpful in directing us around the club (the place is massive). Didn’t realise who many different rooms and music types there in under one roof. The two blonde girls in the cloakroom were very helpful. Will definitely be back. I was worried when going as it would me all young adults but was very pleasantly surprised that the age range is very mixed. Will definitely be back.

E. M.I took my granddaughter to two concerts - Max and Harvey on the Thursday night, New Rules on the Friday. Before going, I had contacted the venue to inquire about a companion ticket, as my granddaughter has special needs, and requires a carer to escort her.
I received not only a very prompt response from Lauren, telling me we were added to the access list and no companion ticket was required, but she then went on to offer early access and a reserved booth. She arranged everything, with very clear instructions on what to do on the nights.
Arriving at the venue, everything was in place. Names on the list, taken in through the back door, we were able to get settled before the main doors opened, and the other fans all rushed the stage. All the staff were great, and the manager even came across to check we were ok, and didn't need anything else.
The whole experience was very well organised, and I can't thank Lauren and all the staff on the night enough.
On top of that, the shows were great, and my granddaughter really enjoyed them.
I would definitely recommend, especially if you need additional support.
D. M.Awesome place for a laid back night out! Cheap drinks, standard music, good atmosphere! The place go go with your friends to just let loose and dance terribly. Garage isn't the most upscale of places, but it's not snooty and doesn't judge. It's all about just having a fun night with your friends. It's also very reliable for a good night, garage is pretty consistently busy, if garage isn't busy, nowhere else will be.

J. B.Always a great night with themed events almost every night and they even have a bouncy castle and beer pong! Drinks are reasonably priced and there are often promotions and discounts on offer and with 4 different club rooms, each with its own bar and genre, the promotions come in handy. Its probably the best club in glasgow.

M. R.Great gig venue but the choice of drinks at the bar is utterly embarrassing. The world has moved on but in here you'd think it was the 1980s. Fosters (probably the worst lager in the world), Strongbow Original and Strongbow Dark Fruit the only draft options. The choice of bottles in the fridges were equally brain dead. Not even cheap wine on offer. No-one comes here for the drink range but come on, try and make a bit of effort for people with a palette more mature than a 16 year old's.
S. Y.Can't say I've ever had a bad night here! Music is better some nights than others I guess depending on what DJ is playing, although typically kind of standard chart music being played! The club itself isn't anything particularly fancy although it has a nice laid back atmosphere and is a great place just to go have fun with your friends! The bouncers are some of the nicest and friendliest I have encountered while visiting any clubs in Glasgow!
The garage is like that friend that's always there for you, even when you have reached all time lows and levels of drunkness who will still be there for you to have a fun night no matter how you're dressed! (As long as you can walk and talk to the bouncer you'll probably get in)
S. M.Went here to see Tide Lines in concert. Great little venue and acoustically, it sounded brilliant. Two bars with plenty staff so not too long a wait for some refreshments. Drinks were reasonably priced too for the city centre.
l. f.Pretty loud but it's big enough to have a few different rooms with different music. I was still able to get in whilst having 2 flasks in my possession, the bouncer took them and simply told me that I could get them back once I was leaving. So there was no hassle.

H. H.Great place if you love clubs, but VERY crowded on weekends. If that doesn't bother you, then the music is great and there's a selection of genres on the three floors to choose from! Drink prices are reasonable; like what you'd expect in other pubs/clubs.
A. B.I mean great place to hang out - live music bands. Sound acustic and sound enginer is quite good there, so can enjoy great time with live performance when bands play. What kinda surprised me is aprouch for disabled - as its quite nice. For more time had seen helpfull stuff for some guys in wheelchair while attending metal gigs. Just sugestion even if its lounge for guy in wheelchair it is harder to see group who performs - maybe its possible to let close to stage where guards are - as that would be nice gesture for disabled people in wheelchair - its not complain, but sugestion.

I. L.Couldn't get in here at over 40 for a normal night out. But had a great time at the Rock Radio Bash. Brings back lots of fond memories......the long stairs to get in are iconic. And the many Christmas eve nights me and friends spent in here. Just a shame we're too old to get in now......All goo things and that. Great staff too.

Very reasonable entry fee and cloakroom coupled with well priced drinks + shooters bar. The big appeal of the garage is the variation between all the rooms (mainstream, pop/punk, rock and of course cheesy pop) Great for going out in big groups, on the whole a very friendly staff and always a great night out.
R. S.Been going here for 2 years now. Absolutely love it! As far as glasgow nightclubs go, the nightlife is brilliant here, such a fun environment. Drinks prices are cheaper than most places, but also they don't skimp on the quality, giving you smirnoff as standard.

N.Excellent gig venue. Been here many times. I prefer the bigger stage area, it seems to have better sound. There is a balcony and bar upstairs which is ideal for taking breaks and chilling in between songs at any metal gig.

E.Although a bog standard venue, it doesn't have much to redeem itself. When going for a concert it's fine until it's full and no matter where you're standing you cant see the stage properly. And at the end of the concert, which is over early due to a nightclub every night, everyone is quickly thrown out of the venue almost as soon as the show is over. Ok venue, not amazing .
I. P.Would never visit in its studenty nightclub capacity, but it's a good gig venue with three separate rooms available - the main hall, G2 in the basement and the dinky "Attic".
Sound is good in the main hall and G2 (I can't vouch for the Attic), and beer prices are reasonable if you can get them to serve you. Make sure you get a wristband on the way in or bar staff can refuse to sell you anything, even if you're 40 and have a beard that goes halfway down your chest *grumble*.
S. H.My happy hunting grounds when I was a student... went back there recently and found *(although I'm just a wee bit too old now) it's still a fantastic place. Bouncers need to cool it though, bossing kids around seems to have gone to their heads. Every generation loves the Garage though!

C. M.Where to begin on January 17th I went to the Garage, I got in the bouncer was a bit weird with the strip search he done to me but moving on, I got in the club just dancing, dabbing, you all that good stuff.
Fast forward a hour or 2, I go to the toilet then I see the buff Black bounce he forced me to spread my cheeks IT WAS AWFUL, I NEVER WENT BACK.

A good location for a concert. The floor is very sticky, but that's part of the feeling. I went to the CKY concert in May and would be there again if there was another gig. Security is very precise when searching, which I find good. So recommendation from me.
